benzoquinonas, naftaqunonas, antraquinonas y fenatraquinonas.
ABSTRACT
Quinones are oxygenates that by their nature are unsaturated diketones, are
products of oxidation of the phenols, found in living organisms and are responsible
for the colors in many plants, according to the aromatic system acquired when
reduced fall well, benzoquinones, naftaqunonas, anthraquinones and
fenatraquinonas
Known variety of metabolic pathways for the production of these nuclei as the
acetate malonate pathway via mevalonic acid and finally corismico via 4-
hydroxybenzoic acid. A key feature of quinones is very easily become
hydroquinones as these are very mild oxidizing agents and have a tendency to
adhere to nucleophiles. The study of these characteristics has allowed us to find
different methods of extraction, for example those which are insoluble in water can
be extracted with common organic solvents, and separation is performed by
chromatographic methods, while trailing naphthoquinones and benzoquinones
steam water, although this method does not ensure that the quinone is removed
completely pure.
The recognition of quinolíticos nuclei is facilitated by the wide variety of colors that
result from the reactions in which they participate, the reaction that allows
recognition of quinones is the most important Borntrange reaction, a reaction that
is obtained from the solution quinones in an aqueous alkaline medium, this solution
turns a bright color can vary, depending on the structure and the constituents of the
quinone of red - orange, violet - purple. The assessment of these compounds are
generally performed by spectrophotometric methods and has its bases in the
previous colored reactions. Keywords: Education, Teaching, thin layer
