ABOUT THE WRITERS MONTHLY JOURNAL
The Writers Monthly Journal is a simple way to schedule and keep track of your writing activities.
The purpose of the journal is to help you set writing goals, schedule in time for writing and record your activities.
Note: The daily schedule is in 24 hour format because writers often write outside the regular diary framework of 9-5.
HOW TO USE THIS JOURNAL
1. Write your goals for this month, for example:

 Complete three chapters of my novel
 Write two blog posts per week
 Write and submit four articles or guest blogs
2. Enter the days of the week and dates on each page.
3. Schedule your writing activities – this is optional. You may prefer to simply record your activities as you go.
4. Record your writing activities, word count and times each day.
5. Enter your daily totals on the monthly total page.
6. Review your goals and totals at the end of each month. Congratulate yourself on what you have achieved.
Tick off the goals you have achieved and transfer your incomplete or ongoing goals to your next monthly
journal.
Note: You may prefer to work on a four week schedule rather than a calendar month, simply adjust the pages printed
to 28 days.
