Motion is the act of moving. Objects can move in different ways. It
depends on how much force you use. It takes more force to move
objects farther. Tap a soccer ball gently. It will not move far. Kick it hard
and it will go far.

What is gravity?
What will happen to the ball? Gravity will pull the ball down. Gravity is

What is work?
Work happens whenever a force makes an object move. You do work
when you push a pencil across the desk. It does not take much work to
move the pencil. It takes a lot of work to push something big like an
elephant. If an object does not move, no work is done. Push hard
against a wall. You are not doing work because the wall does not move.

What are magnets?

Magnets can push or pull certain metal objects. Magnets attract some
metal objects. Attract means to pull toward. Magnets can repel other
magnets. Repel means to push away.
