Missionaries to Orphanage Emmanuel in Guaimaca, Honduras JULY 2011

Days Away
The newest member of the Smith family is only days away from birth and (she) is expected to arrive on the 22nd. All recent checkups show no signs of complications, but please be in prayer nonetheless for a smooth delivery. Charlie's mom arrived on the 6th and will stay through the 28th to help with Corbin and the new baby. Charlie's sisters arrive on the 21st. After the birth, be in prayer for the paperwork process required for US citizenship and Honduran residency.

Father of Lies
Since Emmanuel is the work of God and his kingdom is furthered through this ministry, it is only natural that our enemy Satan would attempt to hinder our efforts with lies and deceit. Recently there have been a couple of cases where false accusations have been brought against staff in an attempt to discredit the orphanage. Also, there have been attempts to steal from our container shipments from the States and to squeeze money in order to have them released from customs. Please be in prayer for protection for the staff from lies and accusations, as well as for the swift delivery of the containers that supply so much of what is needed to feed, clothe, and educate nearly 500 children. Charlies Change of House

Since arriving at Emmanuel in September 2010, Charlie has been working at the Big Boys house. This past month, one of the staff members in charge of the Medium Boys house left, and another is on a two month vacation. So Charlie and another staff member were moved to help out with that age group. The boys range in age from 8-15, although most are in the 10=12 range. There are about 60 boys compared to 90 at the Big Boys house. Almost all are in grade school (1st - 6th grade). The house is generally more relaxed, although there are more criers, bed-wetters, and namecallers. They need more help staying focused on tasks. But they are also more respectful and obedient, which is a nice change. Pray that Charlie will adapt and learn to instruct and discipline them the best way possible.
