Step 1. Form a team of 2/ 3/ 4 classmates. Christen this team. Write a 100 word profile as introduction to your investing team.

Step 2. You have the choice to adopt any four sectors out of the given 10, viz. Auto Value Chain, Financial Value Chain, FMCG/Retail Value Chain, Education Va lue Chain, IT Value Chain, Telecom Value Chain, Healthcare Value Chain, Metals V alue Chain, Oil & Gas Value Chain, and Media Services. Make your choice on the basis of your interest, your projection of that sector t o be the most rewarding one in years to come. Once you have made the choice of t he sectors, you would be presented with five firms in each sector, each with its idea in brief and size of investment asked for. Please submit Outcomes of Step 1 & Step 2 written on a sheet of paper before end of 4th class on 30th April, 2011.

Step 3. Your team has to identify TWO firms from each of chosen four sectors as potential firms you may invest in. You have a total sum of INR 1000 million, you may apportion across various firms. Please submit Outcome of Step 3 written on a sheet of paper before end of 5th cl ass on 7th May, 2011.

Step 4. Once you have indicated the firms, you would be given further inputs on these firms, on the basis of which you would have to decide in which firms to ma ke A funding.

Step 5. Further triggers would be given which shall allow you to decide B fundin g.

Step 6. More triggers shall help you decide wherein to put in C funding. At each stage above, you would have to put in ink your analysis, actions taken, and reasoning behind the actions. This report shall have to be filed with your O versight Board before next step is initiated. The winners shall be those with best appreciation in investment. Grade point sha ll be proportional to this appreciation experienced by the portfolio.
