Thesupportedplatformshavechanged.Pleaserefertotheinstallationmanualslocatedon theDVD. TheinstallationDVDcontainsallAutodeskMoldflowproductsandtheirexistinglanguage files. ModuleshavebeencombinedtoformthreedifferentbundlesforbothAMIandAMA.The bundlesareasfollows: 1.AutodeskMoldflowInsightBasic 2.AutodeskMoldflowInsightPerformance 3.AutodeskMoldflowInsightAdvanced 1.AutodeskMoldflowAdviserDesign 2.AutodeskMoldflowAdviserManufacturing 3.AutodeskMoldflowAdviserAdvanced

Installationprocess:

ThefollowinginstallationinstructionsrepresenttheprocessforinstallingAutodeskMoldflow Insight2010(AMI)onWindowsXP64.TheinstallationprocessforAutodeskMoldflowAdviser andourotherproductsisverysimilar. 1. Selecttheproductthatyouwouldliketoinstall.

2. StarttheAutodeskMoldflowInsight(AMI)installation.

3. Acceptthelicenseagreements.

4. Choosetheinstallationdirectory.Wesuggestinstallinginthedefaultdirectory.

 5. Specifythedefaultprojectdirectory.ThiscaneitherbeintheusersMyDocumentsfolder orinacustomfolder.Werecommendspecifyingalocalcustomfolder(i.e. c:\My_AMI_2010_Projects)toavoidanyrightaccessissueswithaccessingfoldersoverthe network.

6. VerifytheProjectDirectorylocation.

7. ChoosetheTemporaryFilelocation.

8. Thesedirectorieswillbecreatedandtheproductwillbegintheinstallationafterselecting Install.

9. DirectoriesarebeingcreatedandAMIisbeinginstalled.

10. Thelicensemanagerinstallationwillnowinitiate.

11. Westronglyrecommendkeepingthedefaultinstallationdirectory.

12. Chooseoneofthefollowinginstallationoptionsforthelicensemanager: ClientandServer:allowsthemachinetobeusedasalicenseserver ClientOnly:willnotallowthemachinetobeusedasalicenseserversoitwillneedtobe directedtoadifferentmachinethatisspecifiedasalicenseserver.

13. Ifthisisthelicenseserverthenpleasenotethishostnamefortheremainingclient installations.Thecolonsbehindhostnamecanbeleftasis.Ifthisistheclientmachinethen pleasespecifythehostnameorIPaddressofthelicenseserver.

14. Thelicensemanagerinstallationwillbegin.

15. Ensurethatthefollowingcheckboxisselectedsotheregistrationprocesswillbegin.Ifyou donotwishtoregistertheproductatthistimethenpleaseuncheckthebox.

16. PleaseuseWindowsExplorerfortheregistrationprocess.Ifyouareanewuserthenyou mayregisterasanewuseratthefollowinglink.

 17. PleasefilloutthefollowinginformationifyouarecreatinganewUserAccount.Ifyou currentlyhaveyourlogininformationthenskipthisstepandsimplylogintothesite.

18. SelectthelicenselocationandclickNext.

19. EntertheSerialnumberlocatedonthebackoftheDVDcase.ThenclickNext.

20. Enterthehostnameofthelicenseserver(donottousethecolonshere). WewillexplainhowtoobtainthedatafortheServerIDfieldinthenextfewsteps.

21. Selectstartthenrun.

22. EntercmdandselectOKtoconfirm.

23. Enteripconfig/allandhittheReturnkeytoconfirm.

24. Useonlythephysicaladdress(MACaddress)oftheEthernetadapter.Youmayalsoobtain yourhostnameinformationfromthisutilityifitisnotknown.

25. EnterthephysicaladdressoftheEthernetadapter(withoutHyphens)here.Youmayalso noticethatthereisanoptiontochooseaNetworkservertype.Usingthesingleserver optionwillassignallofyourlicensesforthatproducttoonemachine.Thedistributed serveroptionwillallowyoutosplitthelicensesfortheproductbetweendifferentmachines (ifyouownmultiplelicensesforthatproduct).Wedonotsupportredundantserversso thisoptionshouldnotbeused.

26. Atthispointyouwillhavetwooptionsavailable: 1. Savethefiletoyourlocalmachine.Anemailwiththisinformationwillbesenttoyour emailaddressautomatically. 2. Youcanrequestlicensesforadditionalproducts.AMI,AMA,CADDr,MDL,andMSAare allconsideredseparateproductssoyoushouldhavereceivedaninstallpacketforeach. AlloftheproductscanbeinstalledfromthesameDVD,butyouwillneedtoregisterthe serialnumberonthebackofeachDVDcaseinordertoobtainalicenseforeach product.

27. TheinstallationforAMI2010andthenewproductsecurityshouldbecomplete.The productsshouldallberegisteredaswell.Youmayinstallanyadditionalproductsthatyou ownatthispoint(AMI,MDL,CADDr,MSA),butitisnotnecessarytorunthroughthe productsecurityinstallorregistrationprocessagain. 28. Iflicenseshavebeenrequestedformorethanoneproductthenwewillhavetocombine theselicensesintoonefile. 29. OpenallofthelicfilesinNotepad(Rightclick>OpenWith>Notepad) 30. Combineallofthelicensefiles.Pleasepayspecialattentiontotheformatused.

31. UseFile>SaveAssothatwemaysavethecombinedfileasanewfile.Thiswillensurethat wekeepallofouroriginallicensesintheiroriginalformat.Theycanbestoredonyour machineforfuturereference.

32. Savethelicensefileinthefollowingdirectory: 32bit:C:\Programfiles\AutodeskNetworkLicenseManager\License 64bit:C:\Programfiles(x86)\AutodeskNetworkLicenseManager\License

33. OpentheLMTOOLSsothatwecanconfigureit.Werequirefulladminrightsforthisstep.If youareoperatingonVistathenyoumayneedtorightclickontheapplicationandselect runasadministrator.

34. Pleaseensurethatthefollowingoptionischeckpriortocontinuingwiththeconfiguration.

35. NavigatetotheConfigureServicetab.TheserviceisnamedFlexlmservice1by default.Youmayassignitadifferentnameatthispointifyouwish.(i.e.AutodeskMoldflow NetworkLicenseManager).

36. Specifythefilepathtothelmgrg.exefile.Itshouldbeinthefollowinglocationifyouused therecommendeddirectories: 32bit:C:\Programfiles\AutodeskNetworkLicenseManager\lmgrd.exe 64bit:C:\Programfiles(x86)\AutodeskNetworkLicenseManager\lmgrd.exe

37. Specifythefilepathtothelicensefile.Itshouldbeinthefollowinglocationifyouusedthe recommendeddirectories: 32bit:C:\Programfiles\AutodeskNetworkLicenseManager\License\test.lic 64bit:C:\Programfiles(x86)\AutodesknetworkLicensemanager\License\test.lic Pleaseensuretoincludethelicensefileinthespecifiedpath.

38. Specifyadirectoryforthedebugfile.Itwillbenecessarytocreatea.logfileinthespecified directory.Thefilenameshouldhavea.logfileextension.(i.e.anlm_licence.log).

39. Selectthefollowingservicesettingsandsavethem.Pleasenotethatyouwillneedtocheck theUseServicesboxpriortobeingabletochecktheStartServeratPowerUpoption.

40. Itisnecessarytorestartthemachineatthispoint. 41. AfterthemachinerebootspleasetrytostartAutodeskMoldflowInsight2010. 42. Ifthesoftwareshouldhappentofailwithalicenseerror,opentheLMTOOLS.,navigateto theStart/Stop/Rereadtab,andclickontheStartserverbutton.
