TATA MOTORS GOAL IS TO ENHANCE ITS LEADERSHIP IN INDIA, AND ESTABLISH MEANINGFUL PRESENCE IN SELECT INTERNATIONAL MARKETS.

THE COMPANY WILL ACHIEVE THIS BY DEVELOPING AND MARKETING RELEVANT PRODUCTS, ON ITS EXISTING PLATFORMS AND NEW ONES, WHICH DELIGHT CONSUMERS IN EVERY MARKET THEY ARE INTRODUCED IN.

The targets of TATA Motors are based on the five parameters of material sustainability:  Energy & Climate Change  Material &Waste Management  Health & Safety  Sustainable Innovation  Social Responsibility Examples of some targets set by TATA Motors recently:  Zero Accident Plan  Painting the planet green  Around 10 to 12 percent growth  1,600 units of its premium sports utility vehicle (SUV) Freelander 2 in India

But the fact that still remains is that TATA Motors, in the recent years, has failed on quite a few numbers of occasions to fill their targets!!

The problem that lies with determining product standard : Because of operating in a an extremely dynamic scenario which is competitive to the point of being extreme product standard is also dynamic in nature and requires standardising quality of every single one of 14000 parts generally used in one car!!

Safety Standards:  OHSAS 18001  ISO 14001  IMS 18001/14001/9001  HSG 65 STANDARD Corporate Governance Standards: Internationally accepted progressive practices CSR Standard: The areas that we focus on are enhancing employability, conserving the environment, promoting healthcare and imparting education

Accounting Standards:  As mentioned in Sec 211(3C) of Companies Act 1956  Standard 17 on segment reporting(Companies Rule 2006)  Investments in associates accounted on equity method in accordance with AS 23  Jointly controlled entities accounted as per AS 27  Financial statements has been made as per AS 21(consolidated financial statements)
