Dr. Domingo B. Nuez Instructor WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR SCHOOL DO FOR YOUR COMMUNITY Let s start with the basic foundation of the society/community the family (sociology), basic social group united through bonds of kinship or marriage, present in all societies. Ideally, the family provides its members with protection, companionship, security, and socialization. The structure of the family and the needs that the family fulfills vary from society to society. The nuclear family two adults and their children is the main unit in some societies. In others, the nuclear family is a subordinate part of an extended family, which also consists of grandparents and other relatives. A third family unit is the singleparent family, in which children live with an unmarried, divorced, or widowed mother or father. The following aspects are the strategic planning needed for the school in which it could contribute to the community: Setting the school culture Setting the school tone Setting the school mission Setting the school vision Setting the school plan (School Improvement Plan, Annual Plan, ect.) The school administrator should be well-equipped with the capabilities, skills, geared into the school vision and worked through his mission. Setting the school culture in which it will start with himself, being a good leader, playing the vital role, and leading them towards the school vision. Setting the tone in a bright future- towards the tuwid na daan influencing the subordinates-teachers, pupils and parents. Setting the school mission- hand in hand each member of the organization as a whole that includes the internal and external stakeholders working towards themission to undertake within the right track guided with the vision. Setting the school vision- an aim or task that somebody believes it is his or her duty to carry out or to which he or she attaches special importance and devotes special care in short term what do want your school to be in the future? In what aspect your school will be known in the future? Setting the school plan -"Planning" means setting performance expectations and goals for groups and
individuals to channel their efforts toward achieving organizational objectives. It also includes the measures that will be used to determine whether expectations and goals are being met. Involving

employees in the planning process helps them understand the goals of the organization, what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, and how well it should be done.A plan can play a vital role in helping to avoid mistakes or recognize hidden opportunities. Preparing a satisfactory plan of the organization is essential. The planning know the business and that they have thought through its development in terms of products, management, finances, and most importantly, markets and competition. Planning helps in forecasting the future, makes the future visible to some extent. It bridges between where we are and where we want to go. Planning is looking ahead. After setting all the aspects of what would the school should be in the future, setting for the community welfare, the pupils as the school produced could really help the community to do the same process in which a child was developed in three aspects (cognitive, affective gained skills). Produced responsible citizens to create well developed community/society, a globally competitive citizen or maybe a reliable and independent person, in short what had the experiences of that child would result good output for himself/herself and his/her relation to the community. The school in specific, should really influence the community to transform making their lives develop economically, spiritually, emotionally and behavior/attitude as a whole. Using the different programs as planned and specified from the plan made.
