Gentle Light, I ask You

to lead my friend who desires for more.
Unknowingly, follow him closely where he walks
until he discovers the fulfillment that he always longs for.

Brighten up his life day by day

especially if he’s surrounded by thick and dark clouds
that dims where he treads
and eventually that would lead him astray.

Grant him Your vision

so that what he sees are not mere illusions.
With this, all of life’s realities are never shattered.
In humility, may he learn to accept what you created.

O Radiant Light, You are always more and nothing is less!

Shining through life’s horizons,

he not only looks through the windows by glancing
downward.
Always upward,
may he stare not only the radiant sun
and the twinkling stars up in the sky.
But the glory that you have for him,
always near and never far;
sometimes low but certainly destined
to be lifted high!
