Math Homework
Your student will have math homework on the back of every newsletter. The STARR styled problems will be completed and checked daily. This is a homework grade for you child so encourage them to work out the problem and ALWAYS do their best.
Problem Solving Steps 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Read the problem. Underline the question. Circle key words. Cross out extraneous numbers and information. Pick a strategy or operation. Write a number sentence. Solve and check. Check to see if your answer is reasonable.

Writing Homework:
Mon. Sort your spelling words into two groups. (Words with suffixes, words with prefixes) Tues. Use 5 spelling words correctly in a sentence. Wed. Explain what a biography is.

Thurs. Did all Americans agree on the issue
