Stage 1 – Removing the Old Pedals

Remove the facia plate on the left of the

accelerator pedal to uncover the holding
bolt as pictured.
Undo the bolt (10mm) and the top half will
now lift away from the floor. Be careful of
the wiring that is connected to the pedal,
there is no very little slack!

The Accelerator pedal won’t come away from the floor at the front yet, look at the
new pedal you have and you will see two raised inserts where a proper VAG tool
should go to release the plastic retaining clips. I slid a small screw driver in each
of these holes and by used them to prise back these clips and the pedal will then
just pop out.

Remove the wiring block from the pedal.

This was a pain to remove! You may find it
easier to remove the side of the old pedal, to
do this you need to undo some plastic slips,
look at the new pedal and you will see the
clips I mean. Undo these and you can get to
the wiring block much more easily!
The other pedal covers simply pull off and
you will then have them looking like this.

Stage 2 – Fitting the new

The brake and clutch pedals you simply

push onto the top of the metal plates until
you hear them click into place. Once on use
your feet to apply full force to them to
ensure on correctly!

For the accelerator you will need to re-

connect the wiring block and then place the clips at the front of the pedal into the
floor first and then screw back the bolt as shown in the first picture, replace the
facia and your finished.
