You may be aware that, one of the terms of appointment is the requirement of furnishing a Bank Guarantee

which a Bank Guarantee will be issued to Satyam Computer Services Ltd. or you can avail a loan from us for
any shortfall upto a maximum of Rs. 2 lacs which will be made into a term deposit receipt (TDR) and a bank
guarantee will be issued to Satyam Computer Services Ltd.

SATYAM COMPUTERS SERVICES LTD.
HYBRID PRODUCT (PERSONAL LOAN AND BANK GUARANTEE)
Satyam Computer Services Ltd. are recruiting fresh graduates in a large scale every year, for their IT and
ITES activities. In IT industry the attrition rate is a little high when compared to other industries. In order to
curb this tendency Satyam Computer Services Ltd. have planned to impose a security deposit of Rs.2,00,000/
- on all new entrants. Since many of the new entrants may not be in a position to meet this cash security
deposit, Satyam Computer Services Ltd. requested our Bank to formulate a product to take care of the
security deposit needs of their new recruits.
2. Accordingly, we have devised a hybrid product combining Personal Loan and Bank Guarantee to the new
entrants of Satyam Computer Services. The scheme is expected to be put into operation by next week.
Under the new product, a personal loan of Rs.1,90,000/- will be sanctioned to the new entrant and the new
entrant has to bring in a margin of Rs.10,000/- and the total amount of Rs.2,00,000/- will be held in Term
Deposit. On the strength of this deposit a guarantee for Rs.2,00,000/- will be issued to Satyam Computer
Services Ltd. for a period of 24 months on behalf of the new entrant. The personal loan will be recovered in
EMI by means of checkoff / PDCs / salary deduction from the entrant. The guarantee will be reversed on the
expiry of 15/24 months as stipulated by Satyam Computer Services Ltd. In case of attrition only the Person
Loan will be under exposure to the Bank which is being covered by a personal guarantee of a third party
provided by the new entrant. The above scheme has been approved by the Circle Management Committee at
the Circle.
3. Since the new entrants to Satyam Computers Services are spread all over the country, we have planned
to facilitate execution of various documents connected with the hybrid product (Personal Loan cum Guaran-
tee) at a branch of our Bank situated close to the place of residence of new recruit/his parents/guarantor. As
per the arrangement devised, the designated branch - Humayun Nagar / PBB Dilsukhnagar, for the above
mentioned business will be forwarding all the set of documents as listed below directly to the newentrant
who will approach the Branch Manager of the Branch which is situated close to his place of residence:

5. We, therefore, request you to obtain the following papers / documents duly completed:
a) Application form for Personal Loan-Cum-Guarantee has to be filled in completely by the applicant. Both the
applicant and the guarantor have to affix their signature on the application form in your presence. If it is
already signed please obtain fresh signature in your presence.
b) Obtain the DP Note (COS 228 since there is a guarantor) and take delivery letter for a loan of Rs.2,00,000/-.
In case the candidate is able to bring margin to the loan amount it gets reduced accordingly. Therefore, the DP
Note and DP Note Take Delivery Letter has to be obtained for the difference between Rs.2,00,000 and actual
margin brought in by the new entrant. The margin money + Bank Guarantee charges will be brought in by the
applicant in the form of a draft drawn directly in the name of SBI, Humanyun Nagar Branch. After verifying the
margin position the DP and DPN Take Delivery Letter has to be completed accordingly. While DP Note and DPN
Delivery letter will be in favour of Humayun Nagar Branch the place of execution should show your place. At
the bottom of the DP Note please obtain endorsement by the guarantor since there is no provision on the
reverse.
c) Savings Bank Account application form has to be completed as per KYC norms. Please attest the Xerox copies
of identity and address proof documents for having verified the original. In the event of the new entrant not
being in a position to provide a personal introduction for opening SB account, he or she may be advised to
produce a copy of his appointment order sent through e-mail by Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (by downloading
from his PC) which will serve the purpose of introduction which should be enclosed to SB application form.
Further, obtain online registration form duly completed.
d) The Scheme envisages obtention of guarantee of third party. In this connection please ensure that the income
of the guarantor is not less than Rs.2.00 lacs per annum. The proof of income viz. Employment/Salary Certificate/
From 16/IT Return has to be obtained. In respect of agricultural income proof of land holdings (Xerox copy of
Record of Right/title Deeds/Partition Deed/any other documents evidencing title and extent of area of the
agricultural property) of irrigated/rain fed areas has to be obtained. There is no need for obtention of any
other document. The proof of identity and address of the guarantor has to be obtained as laid down in KYC
norms.
e) The recital is to be signed by the Branch Manager/other officials with his specimen signature number to the
effect that the set of documents brought in by the applicant have been executed in his/her presence. In case
the new entrant does not require a loan from the Bank then he/ she has to bring Draft for Rs.2,02,500/- along
with Form III and Form V (Savings Bank / online Registration forms duly completed) for issue of Bank Guarantee.
Execution of Form IV (DP note & DP note Delivery Letter) and the formalities relating to guarantor is not
required. You are requested to ensure completion of Form III as an application for guarantee only and Account
opening forms. Please affix your signature and seal for having verified his signature in SB account opening
form.
6. After due completion of all the above documents produced by the new entrant, please hand over the entire
set of documents in a sealed cover to the applicant to enable him to hand over to Satyam Computer
Services Ltd. authorities at the place of his reporting for onward transmission to S.B.I., Humayun Nagar
Branch, Hyderabad.
7. Your/other officials’ responsibility will be to the extent of the correctness of contents and completion of the
documents executed by the new entrant in your/his presence.
8. In the event of any practical difficulty faced in obtention and completion of the above stated document produced
by the applicant, your are requested to contact Branch Manager, S.B.I., Humayun Nagar Branch / PBB
Dilsukhnagar.
9. As a one time service provider a service charge of Rs.500/- will be be remitted to you by our Branch on receipt

5. We are also addressing a letter signed by Chief Manager, Humayun Nagar Branch, Hyderabad to the branch
the name of which will be filled by the new entrant and submitted to the Branch Manager of that branch for
facilitating of filling up and execution of the above mentioned documents. The branch Manager will assist the
new entrant in completing the various documents in his presence and hand over the entire set of papers back
to the new entrant in a sealed cover who in turn will hand over to State Bank of India, drignated Branch
authorities at the place of his reporting to enable them to issue Bank Guarantee.
6. The Branch Manager concerned, before whom the documents will be executed will ensure the following:
(a) SB application form is completed as per KYC norms
(b) Obtain the guarantee of person whose income is Rs.2 lacs per annum after the verification of his address and
identity.
(c) Verification of the proof of income through Employment/Salary Certificate/Form 16/IT Return a copy of which
has to be obtained [In respect of agricultural income proof of land holdings (xerox copy of Record of Rights/
Title Deeds/Partition Deed/any other document evidencing title and extent of area of the agricultural property)
of irrigated/rain fed areas has to be obtained].
7. The responsibility of the Branch Manager/other official will be to the extent of the correctness of contents and
completion of the documents executed by the new entrant in his presence. The branch is eligible for a
processing fee of Rs.500/- which will be paid after receipt of the document duly executed by the new entrant
by the designated branch - Humayun Nagar, Hyderabad.
8. Satyam Computer Services have Six (6) centres where new entrants will be joining. In view of the vast
network and well spread out activities of Satyam Computer Services Ltd. we have devised the above arrangement
for execution of various documents by the new entrants.
