Demonstration/Protest Scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Stuttgart

On Saturday, 15 October 2011, from 1400 until 1900 hours, the "Gesellschaft Kultur des Friedens" (Society Culture of Peace), will conduct a demonstration march starting at the Schlossplatz to the Neue Schloss (New Castle), and will continue via Bolzstrasse to the ArnulfKlett-Platz in front of the Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), and from there to the Schlossgarten, in downtown Stuttgart, Germany. The demonstration will consist of speeches at various locations along the route, and a concluding rally at the Schlossgarten. The theme of the demonstration is "Weltweiter Aktionstag fr Demokratie und Solidaritt" (Worldwide action day for democracy and solidarity). More than 500 people are expected to participate. Groups/organizations against the Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof construction projects and some German political parties have announced to join in this demonstration.
