Nueburger Eng Comp 102-104 12 September 2011 Single Paragraph Essay # 2 Conclusions In the short story Assisted Suicide by Jack Kevorkian, the narrator describes his experience with a troubled woman who has found out that she has Alzheimers disease. She would not live to experience the horror of such a death. One who commits suicide decided their way to end their life, the decision is not anyone else's. Usually the one committing suicide has many different issues going on in their life. Whether it's health issues or physical disability issues the choice is that individual's to make and not anyone elses. In this short story the person who comitted the Assisted Suicide had been diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease, the lady had only been diagnosed for four months prior to the operation her mind had detiorated enough to where she had trouble with remembering how to write letters. She decided she did not want to have her and her family go through all the struggles of watching her mind deteriorate. People should think about what they say about suicide and really analyze what the individual had going on in their life and not jump to conclusions.
