Course Objective: Actions speak louder than words. Every business communicator needs to understand the nuances of body language and voice. This course is designed to enable the young Amitian to decipher the relevance of Verbal & Non-Verbal Language that cater to the fundamental requirements of effective business presentations and speeches. Course Contents: Module I: Business Communication Importance, Purpose and need for business communication Art of Meet & Greet The Art of Handshake. Art of Exchanging Business Cards. Art to say thank you. Art to appreciate Art of team building Module II: The Case Method of Learning Understanding the case method of learning different types of cases overcoming the difficulties of the case method reading a case properly (previewing, skimming, reading, and scanning) case analysis approaches (systems, behavioral, decision, strategy) analyzing the case dos and donts for case preparation Module III: Presentation Skills: Importance of presentation Elements of presentation, Designing a presentation. Advanced visual support for business presentation, Types of visual aids, Executing a presentation. Dos and dont of presentation. Module IV: Employment Communication: Introduction With a small and a large group, how to provide a support system for a new employee, Plan and organize business messages, format memos and other internal messages, write goodwill letters, write thank-you messages, write messages of congratulations, write letter that maintain or reactivate business, write claim and adjustment letters, write persuasive message, write order, credit and collection, create press releases and newsletters, construct and present reports, prepare meeting communications
