Nuages
(Nocturne no.1 for Orchestra)
arranged in 5-parts for
almost many combination of winds and strings
by Arne Dich
Debussy's Nuages was originally written for the symphony orchestra's most
delicate pastel colours. Some of the perfume is obviously lost by a reduction
to 5 parts for ad hoc ensemble. But there are still so many harmonic and
melodic qualities and fine airy clouds left that there is plenty of substance for
a good musical experience hidden in this score, also for amateurs.
