Introduction Ask the children if they know what an endangered species is and if they can name one?

Purpose They will learn the names of endangered animals

Procedure Although the book is popular and may have been read by some of the students, I will ask the students not to read aloud with me the first time so that those who havent heard or read it yet can hear me read the book clearly. After then they can read aloud with me and ask them to guess what the next animal would be. This will help them with sequencing the story.

Resources Endangered animals pictures without the name

Assessment Retell the story by drawing Name the endangered animals in the pictures

Additional activities Check the library for the endangered animals habitat and other information
