Help Danielles Fight Against Breast Cancer

Danielle is a mother, wife and nurse in our community who is fighting for her survival after being diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in July 2011. Danielle has served her community as an emergency nurse for 13 years. She has continued to work throughout her medical treatment because it is her nature to care for others. She is the sole insurance provider for her family and is facing incredible costs related to her treatment. It is time her community reaches out to help her become a cancer survivor! Breast cancer is second only to lung cancer in all reported cancer cases, accounting for a little more than 10 percent of cancer diagnoses around the world. Women are about 100 times more likely to develop the disease than men; however, the survival rates are about the same regardless of the patient's sex. About 519,000 people died from this disease in 2004. Danielle needs help to continue fighting to become a breast cancer survivor. A benefit in Danielles honor is being organized by her friends and family on January 8, 2012. Food, drinks, music, bowling, and auction items will be available.
