MATERIALS Graphite Pencils: leads 2B, B, H or HB, 2H, 4H in brand of preference but ALL in the same brand (ie. Tombow, Derwent Graphic, Turquoise, Staedtler, Berol) Pencil Sharpener (available for sale in the classroom) Erasers: (one of each) kneaded and white plastic eraser Eraser Shield View Finder purchase a white inexpensive 8x10 pre-cut mat frame, cut into 2 L shapes Tracing Paper: 9" x 12" or larger Sketch Pad: 9" x 12" or larger (for class exercises) Bristol Drawing Paper: bristol pad (smooth finish) 11" x 14". The term "bristol" is a type of drawing paper NOT a brand name. We will discuss paper in the first class. Floral Oasis Foam Block: Get the type capable of holding water. This block will hold a cut plant specimen. Also because it will absorb water, bring a container to hold it. Magnifying glass large enough to draw beneath (available for sale in the classroom)
