    Requirements of Multimedia Lab

    As per AICTE norms of Instructional area of Laboratories is 60 sqm . The available area is 58 sqm.

    Hardware Requirements
    1) 1 GB RAM=17 The computer systems in multimedia lab are working very slow due to low configuration which need to be upgraded. There is only 256 MB RAM in the computer systems that s why softwares like Photoshop, Flash editor etc. do not work properly because these are heavy softwares and required at least 1GB RAM in each computer system for better Performance. 2) Number of Printers =2 As per AICTE norms their must exist a Printer: Computer Terminal ratio of 1:10. As no printer is present in the lab. So the requirement of 2 printers is justified for this lab. 3) Number of AC =2 As no AC is present in the lab at least two 1.5 ton air conditioners as per area are required to overcome the heat of the available computer terminals. 4) Number of Pen drive = 1 At least one Pen Drive must be available to the technician of lab to carry out his software and installation work properly. 5) Number of DVD Writers = 1 At least one DVD Writer must be available to the technician of lab to carry out his software and installation work properly.
