Mounting advices Unik II GPS-Sentinel CAR/TRUCK

Bracket mounting
Minimal dimensions to apply for the bracket installation : The mechanical assembly shall be flexible and integrate the 4 provided silent blocks to absorb vibrations. GPS fixing through the bottom and binding by 2 auto-blocking clips assembled on the GPS.

For cables, leave at least 4cm of free space behind bracket:

Power supply Cables, fuse box, emergency batteries and push-button Push-button is connected on power supply cable

Main power supply :

The power supply will have to be protected by a fuse at 3A and to deliver a controlled tension ranging between 9 and 32 continuous volts. Consumption under 12V: - 220 mA with backlighting by default drive (60%). - 270 mA with backlighting ON

Supply on internal battery :

Average autonomy with blacklighting ON and without external battery : - 4h with repeater - 9h without repeater

Compulsory emergency power : external battery pack

The battery pack must be connected to the matching entry of the power cable. It is made of 6 batteries and provides a tension of 9V. The waterproof packaging is specially designed, so batteries can not be changed, or re-charged. Total average autonomy : 11h30 without repeater. With emergency power, the internal battery is not reloaded.

Sentinel buzzer
Buzzer is connected on the top of the GPS. Flash is connected on the buzzer.

Radio antenna Sentinel

Radio antenna is connected on the right top of the GPS (blue sheath with SENT ERTF inscription). IMPORTANT Sentinel aerial must see the road (no installation on the front panel). Installation with 2 collier straps under the roll-cage at the top or at the right side of the windshield.

Cable antenna (3m) and antenna GPS

A TNC type connector must be placed under the car aerial, which is fixed with an M18 wing (do not forget to make a 20 mm-hole on the roof for the connector). If you mount two GPS in the same vehicle, let at least 1m between the two aerials.
