What is clause?
A clause is a structure that has a subject and a verb Clause: - Independent - Dependent An adjective clause immediately follows the noun it modifies.
WHOM : to replace object (person) The man was friendly. I met him yesterday The man was friendly whom I met yesterday The man whom I met yesterday was friendly The woman gave me some information. I called her The woman gave me some information whom I called. The woman whom I called gave me some information.
WHICH : to replace subject /object (thing) The river is polluted. It flows through town The river is polluted which flows through town The river which flows through town is polluted The books were expensive. I bought them The books were expensive which I bought them The books which I bought them were expensive
WHOSE : to replace a possession (person/thing) The man called the police. His car was stolen The man called the police whose car was stolen The man whose car was stolen called the police I know a girl. Her brother is a movie star. I know a girl whose brother is a movie star The people were friendly. We bought their house The people whose house we bought were friendly
