Electric Field produced by a dipole is given by:

Where p is dipole moment P=q*2a 2a= is the distance between the dipole charges

And is the angle between the axis of the dipole and the point of measurement of electric field r is the distance between the point of measurement of electric field and dipole

For a cube: Perpendicular surface has electric field is : =90

Along the axial surface has electric field is : =0

Placing the dipole at the centre of the cube: Hence r to all sides is A/2 On the four sides perpendicular to the dipole the electric flux is:

On the two sides along the axis the electric flux is:

Electric field lines of dipole are as shown in the figure:

When the dipole moves inside the cube then the r changes ie it comes closer to one side and farther from the other. Hence flux increases from the surface to which dipole are closer where as decreases from the surface from which the dipole is farther. But the area for the flux remains same.
