Use your best Selling skills to negotiate salary

Tuesday, February 17, 2009, 20:16 Career Caf, Interview, Salary 1,907 views Comments

Never underestimate the importance of negotiating salary in an interview.Employers tend to prefer those candidates who already earn a greater income. While these candidates cost more to employ, their higher incoming salaries are assumed to reflect greater competence, initiative and achievement. So its in your interest to pursue income increases at every legitimate opportunity. It starts before going for the interview. A crucial part of your research is the salary range for the position you are applying, of course with your background and experience. Have a salary range in mind and be prepared to discuss these figures once salary negotiation has come up. Never discuss salary until you have a job offer If you do, you could price yourself out of a job before the employer is convinced they need you. If pressed by the interviewers, tell them youre flexible and would be happy to discuss salary when you learn more about the job. Get the employer to disclose salary before you do. Dont be the first to mention salary during the interview. Let the employer bring it up as many times as necessary until you feel ready. Know your absolute bottom line. Be clear on what is your minimum salary expectation. Decide before you go in for the interview, what salary you want to earn, what you need to live on, and what you will be willing to settle for. Market yourself. Emphasize the reasons you should get the offer. Document your skills and accomplishments, and be prepared to talk about them. Its about selling your skills and ability at the best possible rate. When questioned about desired salary. The best response is one that returns the employers ball back into his court: You can say, what kind of salary range are you working with? or Well, Id like to make as much as other employees with my qualifications. or What is a typical salary for this position? Another strategy is to avoid a specific salary and put forward a pay range instead. Dont forget the value of benefits and perks when negotiating a salary. Sometimes the salary offered may seem low, low enough for you to turn down the job. But the benefits and perks can add up to 40 percent to your basic salary. Some benefits are fixed, but others are negotiable such as stock options, bonuses, employee discounts, training, holiday time and sick leave.

Do not disclose past salary. Once your past salary is on the table, your negotiating edge goes out the window. By not disclosing exactly what your current salary is or exactly what it would take to get you to leave your current job, youll force a potential employer to make its best offer. Make your salary discussion a friendly experience. Be amicable when discussing salary. You should make the employer feel that you are on the same side and working together to find a package that would satisfy everyones needs. Dont say yes to an offer right away. Be enthusiastic and appreciative when you get the job offer, but ask for at least 24 hours to respond. This gives you time to get over your initial joy at being selected. If you feel the salary is insufficient, express your concern to the employer when asking for time to consider the offer. Youll find out right away whether the salary quoted is set in stone or is flexible.

Declining an offer. If you decide not to accept the offer, make sure you leave on the best of terms. Treat every offer seriously and graciously. You can never tell who you may be doing business with in the future so dont burn any bridges.

Yes i agree with the statement. In most of the cases the money suplied by the government is misused by those who sit in authorities for their personal needs or they are not utilised properly in the areas of public interest. For instance how many roads are remaining unrepaired? adequate health care is not still extended to the poor parts of the country. What is actually happening..? the illiterate are mishandled. This is all the problem of governing bodies not all are targeted but most of them, who uses the public money to satisfy their unsatiable greed. Indian economy is mainly agro based, so famers shoul be encouraged, by providing money and equipping them with the latest technologies, for this education has great role. Proper utilisation of land and wealth along with the involvement of skills and newr ideas if put togeter will help the nation's economy.., so simply pumping money is not a solution

Pumping in the money will not be a solution for the economic problem as because inflation and recession are major economic problems which arises either due to more money in the economy or lack of money in the economy where pumping in money will defiantly accumulate in few hands rather than spreading in the economy so either by sucking the money from the nee-sh people to avoid inflation ex which Rbi takes steps as increasing the oil price, alcohol and cigarates price etc. , and times of recession it take steps as decreasing the rates etc. ,

Yes definately I agree that pumping money in economy doesn't mean grow of economy. We all know

that 70% of real India resides in villages. We always talk about the India which is signing in cities and we never give a thought to India which resides in villages. The basic infrastructure such as roads, water, hygieine, education, electiricity, is missing in real India. The foreign comnpanies which are investing in our country want to have a safer destination in cities thus the cities are signing. Because government care musch about the FDI rather than thinking about the common people. Unless or until the common people gains on economical front there will no real economical growth. The govt should create infrastructure in villages and towns so the foreign countries don't hesitiate in investing in town and villages. When the dollars will reach to the villages and towns and India that will be the real Indian economic growth.

Yes definitely pumping of money can not solution of economic problems, if our govt really wants to help, improve or contributes in our economic than govt have to take some importance steps like, as we know that, Agriculture is the back bone of our country 73% people depends on agriculture so our govt should provide new technologies for farmers and it will really help to maintain the balance and make a strong back bone of our country because friends nothing can change but we can change to our self according to these things and result will be front of you. Thank you that is from my side.

I am not agree with the word pumping because the rising economy is paying back to the society and pumping is irreversible process. Its a kind of investment, for the profit in terms of facility, living standard, higher education, defense services etc. It maintains the liquidity of the market as well as market prices. Picture a condition when govt has reduced the market investment then the bank interest rates will reach to sky. I think govt must maintain an economy level in order to bear the small economic fluctuations.

Pumping money into the economy by the govt is certainly not the solution because the money is hardly utilized for a noble cause. It seldom trickles down to the area where it is required and rather goes into the pockets of the bureaucrats. The solution lies in enlightening the people who are indirectly running the economy. There is dire need to educate them regarding the judicious and economic use of resources. India actually resides in its villages, so it is must to educate the villagers on how to multiply their money by investing in fixed deposits.

Yes. I partially agree with d statement. Monetary investment is obviously must for growth and economic developmen. T govt needs to spend on weak sections of society to accelerate growth. But dats not sufficient. Simultenously care shud b taken the money invested at right locations nd properly spent for betterment. Nd consequently other prob of inflation nd mismatch of demand and supply shud to prevented. As excess supply of money vil lead to aggravation of othr problems nd nt serve d purpose so balance must be maintained.

Pumping money by goverment, yes it is the liability of the goverment, but it is not a ultimate solution for the economic crisis. It is like investing money in to a dying business. At the same time you pumping money to the crisis same time have to look for the cause of crisis and it has to be rectified.

Yes I partially agree with the topic "GOVT. PUMPING MONEY IS NOT THE SOLUTION FOR ECONOMIC PROBLEMS". I don't say govt should not spend money on economic problems, it should but it should be in such a

way that it is beneficial for all in great extent. ->Goverment should be able to find the economic problems and it should spend money on it and should see that problem is solved. I mean to say that govt should spend the money and also should monitor thatwhether the problem is solved or not. ->Government should spend the money in villages where there are no proper roads, no current facilities and help the children to make them study. ->Now a days many government hospitals are not provided with the necessary requirements. Government should spend money on them as it is very much required for poor people who don't have money for their treatment in private hospitals. ->Goverment should see that the most common economic problems like increse in petrol prices, commodities should be reduced. ->Government should provide ways to eradicate unemployment problem. ->By doing this, There is no doubt that our country will become a developed country.

To my mind pumping money into the economy is not the solution for our economic problems. Today there are so many economic problems in our country like increase in prices of oil, food, increase in imports, unemployment problems, increase in inflation rate. If more money are supplied in the economy it will make condition worse rather than solving it. Government Should adopt adequate measures to solve economic problems rather printing new notes and increase the supply to create this balance between supply and demand.

Yes my dear friend said correctly pumping money in economic is not solution there are various factor which affects our economy like. 1. Export & Import-India is main importer of crude oil and other various commodities and export is very less so we should think in export perspective of commodity. Government should deduce their subsidy on exporting to growing export. 2. Debt Market-every individual try to deposit their money in bank at risk free rate there only 10 % of population deposits their money in debt instrument if government should attract investor in debt market so our economy can boost. 3. To provide special facility for establish new entrepreneur's in country because its supports production and provide employment and deduct the import. 4. We should think in terms of education in village which can help to grow our economy. 5. Our country is mainly depend on agriculture so we should provide new technology to the farmers and provide subsidy in fertilizers and pesticides. These factor can grow our economy if we would think on that side.

Pumping of Money in Economy means contribution or extra money. Extra money comes from which sources: if RBI print new notes and pump in the market the result outcomes is huge inflation and the mismatch of Demand & supply. So that pumping money in the economy is not only a solution but searching new scheems like increse the production of crops, by increse the amount of export material and changing the intrest rate, CRR and Repo rate government solve the problem of economy.

First of all we need to understand the whole breakup of petrol prices. Oil when refined doesnt just yield petrol , it yields Diesel,LPG and Other side products like wax, grease , engine oil etc. Now the main reason why we are suffering is the total dependence on crude oil. Why would an individual prefer electric or hybrid cars if there are no charging points in the city. First of all we need to reduce this dependence on diesel. More use of CNG supported by more CNG pumps , huge subsidy on electric cars supported by availability of charging points across the city. Further if the transportation system is improved then definitely private car usage would come down. The reason an individual uses a car is the lack of quality and safe transport. If one carefully observes the traffic pattern of destinations well connected by Metro , then one can very well verify that quality transport is all we need to further reduce oil dependence.

The epitome about this topic is the high tax rate the government is implementing day by day on petrol, and certainly the resouces underground are decreasing day by day, so we must shift to other sources of energy in order to save the petroleum, and use like CNG, biogas, etc to run the vehicles, and to go by public transports.

Sorry. Could not go through all post but here are the points I got;. 1. We pay income tax. With the leftover we pay tax on whatever we use. Here everybody knows the government fault but we have learned to live with fact that we cannot change anything. Quite true as we are never taught how can we change the system, just to live with it. 2. People today are very aware about alternate fuels. What was the Price of CNG when introduced ? What is it today ? How is the rise justified in such a short time ? CNG versions of vehicles are costlier than the petrol versions, fun fact. 3. A Large part of Petrol consumers in India are 2 wheeler drivers who are not Super rich Oil wasters. Public transport development should be priority in rural areas also. 4. I had come across a Documentary " WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR " which really got me thinking. Highly recommended. Thanks.

I know this things are very normal things but it's hard to follow them if we follow this type of thing in our daily routine probably we can overcome of this situation. Thank you.

I think petrol prices are increased because of two points first is our government who put to much taxes around double the cost of petrol and second is those people who are rich by background and they do not have to do anything with increasing petrol prices, they use high cc engine bike, thats why economic condition is getting disturbed, and government is raising price so that people should use petrol as low as possible, but its impact is directly occurring over common person, so after all

this one solution is there that government should fix the amount of petrol to be given to each person, now you will think it is impossible, but I am telling you it is possible, as we have most powerful technology now and using this we can save petrol. For example if a biker takes petrol, the existing petrol pump must have a internet connected machine so that it can upload the persons bike number with amount of petrol he has taken, this data will be available to any petrol pump which is connected to that machine, now automatically prices will get down.

So its our responsibility to properly use them so its time for taking action and to think how to solve this serious problem not to blame each other. I would like to add some measures so that we can save us from the impact of oil price rise until we get a permanent solution for it. 1 maximum use of public vehicle. 2 creating awareness in people. 3 use of alternate fule such as bio gas, electricity. 4 proper maintanance of vehicle so that it consume les fuel. 5 use of cycle for short distance may the alternative. 6 awaring youth about the problem. These are some steps if followed collectively may help in creating balance in supply and demand of oil, we will no longer depend on oil control.

Hi Friends,

To help out transportation industry government gives high subsidies on diesel so that our transport industry, Agriculture industry can take high benefit from it. In petrol we do not get high subsidies. The conclusion is that we have higher price on Petrol and low price on diesel. Now because of low price of diesel, car manufacturing companies are encouraged to manufacture diesel cars and consumer is also inspired to buy diesel cars. So overall consumption of diesel is increased and the objective of government subsidies not fulfilled. Now to balance the subsidies government has to lower the subsidies on petrol and we get the results as higher price of petrol. What is the mitigation ? 1. People should use more and more public transport systems rather than using single vehicle. 2. Try to use less petroleum products. 3. Government should limit the manufacturing the diesel cars. 4. Keep the diesel price constant and increase the petrol price (to encourage public transport systems). (condition: Limit the diesel private vehicle by increasing the high road tax for diesel private cars).

DO YOU KNOW. The actual price of petrol is around Rs. 31 per litre. Shocked ... ?! But it's true. "SO HOW THE PRICE OF PETROL IS SO HIGH... ?". Ok! It's time to open the suspense. The actual price of petrol which government paid is Rs. 31 but the addition money is the TAX .... Yes the IRRITATING TAX. The tax which put affects the adverse impact on the life of common man. Center Government & state government both charged around 52% tax on petrol. FROM WHERE THIS 52% TAX PAID. We pay approximately 52% TAX ON PETROL which includes duties, taxes like customs, excise, sales tax, VAT, dealer commission.

SO I THINK THIS IS THE FAULT OF OUR GOV. WHO WILL PUT SUCH LARGE TEX ON PETROL. WHAT IS OUR DUTY TO REDUCE THE PRICES. 1. Use CNG vehicles instead of petrol if Possible. 2. Do not use vehicles for short distance. Go by walk or by bicycle

I think both government and we are responsible for this rapid increase in oil prices. The actual price of petrol is 30/liter but after including all the taxes and other services it becomes 70. Which are more than twice of the original price? What government should cut taxes and services then decrease the price petrol and diesel. Also reduce the consumption through spirit awareness about oil. This is important resource of us. This is a natural resource gift by god. So it is use when much required to somewhere for distance.try to persuade peoples who are deriving car and bikes. We can give advertising save fuel and save life. Through electronic media.

The basic thing is that the youths should be aware of its (petrol) use. If two workers are working in the same organisation then inspite of using two vechiles they should prefer a single one. Hai friends, If we want to solve this problem there should be adjustments made from the both sides, I mean the goverment and the people. If the condition of the public transport is much better than present condition people will bw able to travel in it. As per the present condition there is no guarantee to reach a location ontime. And people should avoid the unnecessary use of vehicles. Why can't we share the charge and travel in a single car when two of us are going to a same place. We should uderstand the seriousness of the problem and we have to adjust together.

Hi friends. It's fine but who will bell the cat ! it's easy to talk about to boycott four wheelrs & be on your bycycle. The fact is that majority of us will depend on what we are using only to shell out more money from your pocket to tighten your monthly budget. Why don't we start the way Anna Hazare taught us! express our anger in a descent manner. Not like the tainted politicians. We will invite media to get exposure and tell the world we expell all these politicians. Now we deserve only the president rule. Some may object that it will take our country b ackfoot. What may it would be better than it is going to be. Let us pledge each one of us won't keep quiet we can also express. Please mind it no parties will come to our rescue. They are only bothered about their benefit. Please wake up we can also do something. Many drops becomes the sea. Let us show our strength. It will spread to other places also. That way we can put pressure on the ruling government. Please awake friends before its very late.

Hi friends, thanks for your opinion on hiking the prices of fuels (both petrol and diesel). I think one solution can done by our behavior suppose two or more persons are going to the same organization and they lived a smaller distance then they can go together from next day, in one car. There will no effect on their personality. They feels some different only for some days but after some time they will feels regretful. And after some time many persons will learn from them.

According to me oil price is hike due to wrong policy of goverment. Actual cost of oil is only 30 rupee / litre include manufacturing cost. Goverment reduce tax on oil and give relax. As we all known our country is import oil. So goverment take some important step to reduce consumption of oil.

Hi friends, Rising oil prices is a matter of worry. No doubt. But the simplest solution is with us let each of us make ourself aware and try to make efficent use of it. We the public generally complaints regarding this but what we do to sort it out. I don't understand why each member of same family needs independent vechile. Like father having a luxury car mother is using alto or smthing. Daughter activa and son is having a bike. What is this guys. Luk at your neighbours you can find 7 out of 10 families having all this. This is not done and then we complains. On the other side oil corporations crying that they gng thru underrecovery of their funds and that too in lakhs. So stop crying, . Make efficient use of it, use bicycle. (my father can easily afford a car but he uses cycle nd scooter even cycle most of the time) use e-bikes. Govt should take constructive steps. Aware urself.

Thanks all of you for nice opinion about the petrol price hike in India. What I am thinking first who is affected after increasing the price, ofcourse the common man who thinks at the last day of every month while preparing the house expenditure. Do we think how many beauoracrats, politician we have. All these people have free facility of petrol, electricity and lots of facilities. As they are using free services of these basic commodities. As they are using free we common are affected first. Remove all the facilities, give them salary like common man then wait and watch. I am sure that it will not reduce the price but the burden on common man must be reduce. Increase the power facility we have bunch of rivers, we can produce the electricity. We are one the largest population in world we have lot of opportunities to produce bio gas, we can plant the gas system in our home. We use that bio gas to cook and others things. I mean to say we have to increase the power of natural resources.

Sir, It is not my intention to question what my friends say. I feel we are all selfish, we consider only our problems caused by the increase in petrol-price. Our learned PM spoke to media persons in Cannes at the close of the G 20 summit reg. the rise in petrol price, that "We cannot live beyond our means, and money does not grow on trees" Friends, Like Gowtham Buddah who attained enlightenment while in meditation under a pipal tree, our beloved Dr. PM also became enlightened while attending the said summit which, he has imparted to all his disciples in India in the form of the above message. He asserted that he cannot return to price subsidies, come what may!! And in India some of his followers said that the increase in the petrol price may affect only about 50% of the population who own motor-bikes and other vehicles and those who own vehicles could afford the hike. Well said, the polititicians who were in the field for no. of decades, know the pulse of the people?. Will you agree with this opinion? Friends, I cannot!!, because he is concerned only about the people who could afford to buy petrol-vehicles. He forgets the fact that the cascading effect of the rise in petrol would lead to exhorbitant hike in the prices of the essential commodities, health care, public coveyance, schooling of the children etc. Even according to the PM 37.2% of the

population belong to people below poverty line. Can these poor and marginalised people afford the consequences of the hike in petrol price? So, friends, let us not simply follow the 'boons'offered by the saint P:M. Because, the actual sufferers are the poor who are under-fed, malnourished, underclothed and who are dying of starvation, diseases etc. You know the last budget provided for 'Revenue foregone' of Rs.88,263 crores by way of write off of corporate income tax alone. For what? This is not spent to eliminate poverty, nor lilberate and rehabilitate manual scavengers working across the country (mainly women and children below 14 years)nor sex workers who entertain the customers, even tourists from abroad, just under the nose of the PM and his council of ministers, in places called "red light area" in New Delhi, nor retrieve the children below 14 years engaged in manual scavenging, flesh trade, fire-work, slaughter-houses, mines and quarries, hotels etc. etc. But this is gifted under the guise of reduction in Income taxes, custom duty, excise duty etc. to the corporates and other industrial organizations to promote their business, apparently at the cost of the poor and marginalised. Our Planning Commission has no money to pay minimum wages to the workers as per M.wages Act, 1948 as recommended by the NAC, whereas the PM had no hesitation to approve the 6th Pay commission's recommendations and hike 250 to 300% of the then existed basic pay - ie. from Rs. 30000/- to 80000-90000 to civil servants (BESIDES, 51% DA AND OTHER ALLOWANCES) who utilise every opportunity to deny the wages or other benefits to the workers, which they are actually entitled to. These civil servants were also granted 40% performance-related incentive. In this back ground our Mr. Montek, chief economist could offer income for urban poor at Rs.32 per day and Rs.26 per day for rural people. Sirs, is this enough for buying drinking water for him for a day? The salary of President, vice president, Prime Minister etc. were increased by 300% of the then existing salary. See the socialism our UPA Govt. is practising. And our PC/PM shows our GDP inclusive growth at 8.5 to 9% for the last fiscal year and for the next year the growth 'inclusive' at 9%. Is this not wonderful? So, whenever our PM visits other countries, he is hailed and honoured by his counter-parts, but he is shouted down in and out of our parliaments!!! he complained. It is sad that subsidy to poor is loss to the Govt. while subsidies under the garb of 'revenue foregone' is honoured AND WELCOMED AS "INCLUSIVE GROWTH". LET US CALL A SPADE A SPADE EVENIF IT IS MADE OF YELLOW METAL. I am sorry for my being open.

Thanks to all for sharing such a nice view. Friends, topic is how to deal with high oil price, for this we get the solution from. 1. Making people aware of the fact. 2. Providing alternate solutions like CNG, ELECTRICAL. ETC. Beside this if we blaming to govt regarding this, then yes they are responsible for the fact that in some country oil is too less costly what we are paying in our country. India is not having this resource upto mark, so government will have to managed the efficient terms & condition of import with other country. & at the same time use same efficient terms & condition for exporting our

resource. Yes it is our government who will have to manage & give the preferences to the other alternatives of oil like cng, bio-fuels. Beside government, it is also responsibility of being Indian that how we contribute in tackling the problem of oil hike, so that we will not have to suffer by not using vehicles for a short distance, not prefer private vehicles where you can go into buses.

Hai friends. I agree with your points and I would like to add some points on this topic. Now a days everyone have their own private vehicle. And they are using vehicles for very short distances if anybody asks then they says we are saving our time. But they are not thinking in the effectiveness of fuel and pollution. It is also one of major reason to hike in oil prices. We are importing crud oil from other countries we don't have a oil resources. Some MNC have the knowledge of oil spills but our government not at all accept it. Hike in oil prices is also advantages to us because we are not ready to use of vehicles for unwanted things. Our youngsters have to contribute their research and inventions to alternative for oil. We have to use alternative for oil like cng, electricity, and solar energy. We can reduce the oil consumption by using of public transport. If our government implements some mandatory rules of using vehicles then also we oil usages and then automatically pollution also reduces. Like TRAI which implements 100 sms per day our govt. Also have to implement the some laws are rules on usage of vehicles and limited vehicles for a family. If we are avoid our own vehicles and using public transport is is a little bit of success.

Hello friends,

Indeed the oil prices are continuously rising and so is the population. We cannot ignore the fact that with increasing rate of population the need for this resource will keep on increasing. One cannot put a limit on its use because it may vary from place and size of family. A simple solution to it could be increasing the awareness level of people so that they use this non-renewable resource carefully and finding out other alternatives like biofuels, cng, solar energy, electrical energy to use in vehicles. The duties and taxes are the root cause of it, which are unavoidable. Discouraging the use of petrol and using other alternatives would not only be a smart choice but also an eco-friendly one.

I do not blame the government. When the crude prices are as high as 94$ per barrel, how can you expect the government to give you petrol at 50Rs. These opposition parties says the government is insensitive but when they come in power they do the same. I understand the problem that poor people cannot afford it but there is no alternative. Because as the value of rupee is falling the import of crude has become costlier and hence the oil companies incur huge losses and they are then forced to hike the prices. We should not be selfish and understand the government's problem as they pay subsidy of Rs 7 so as to reduce your burden but you cannot expect the government to pay subsidy as it will directly affect our economy. So it is important to conserve petroleum products or else we will only have bicycles for transport. We can also think of using electric cars so as to reduce use of petrol and we should use bicycles for short distances and buses and trains for long distances.

Hello to all. Its great to listen to your views. I too would like to add to this healthy coversation. Clearly subsidy is not an option for the price control because if the price is reduced then people will misuse the relaxation as by using their vehicles for unimportant purposes which they would have not done otherwise. The only answer to this is the combined effort of public and the government. The tax and duties charged on the vehicles which use the alternatives such as CNG, solar power and electric power etc. should be reduced, or rather removed so that the people are tempted to buy them due to the comparatively lower prices. And complementing it the people should buy the vehicles which use the non-petroleum products as fuel. Thus, I conclude that the taxes on the vehicles that use non-petroleum products should be seriously reduced.

Hello friends. When talking about the price rise of fuel, our petroleum ministry is very clever and knows that a person who can afford a bike of 50, 000 rs can easily afford prices of petrol up to 100rs/lr. Secondly if government of India starts giving subsidy on these prices then it will be taken back from us in the form of many taxes on every object that we will purchase from market. Thanks for your attention.

Ya. I agree with the above points and I appreciate for your contribution. And I wish to add some points with this. Oil prices are increasing in India due to lack of resources. I think some MNC have the knowledge of the oil spills in India. But the government is not at all ready to accept there needs. In other developed countries there are using CNG and electricity as mode of fuel. So our society have the awareness to the face of developments. For example Nissan developed a car called LEAF which runs in electricity and it can produce high power and torque like petrol variant. So our youngsters have to contribute their research and inventions to find an alternative for oil. Our Indian railways itself using thousands of liters of oil per day. If the trains are run in electricity can reduce a large oil scarcity. In this 21st century we can't postpond our needs in bussy schedules. So awareness programs are not at all effective. So my conclusion is to strictly find an alternative for oil. Thus we can reduce the global warming and ozone hole depletion. This is my two in one solution from my side. Thank you.

Hi guys, There are different types of comments from different guys. Its all the fact of today. But within in 10 years we will in need of twice or thrice the amount of fuel that we using now. For this problem there is so many researches are undergoing in alternatives fuels like bio fuels etc. , and also using natural resources like solar energy. , But these researches cannot taken successfully without the involvement of public's. They should have awareness about decreasing fuel resources. Since there may be so many ways discovered by the scientists public should involve them in conserving the resources. They should follow the steps to conserve the natural resources. My conclusion is that without public involvement this cannot be achieved successfully. The awareness about decreasing in natural resources should be taken to the each person of the country. Then that day will become the day to start conserving natural resources or oil resources.

Well before starting off with ways to deal with high oil prices I would like to share a fact with you ! Petroleum prices in countries like the US are around 10 INR to 12 INR per litre whereas in India oil prices are spiralling and are on the verge of touching 80 INR per litre. The reason being that most of the petroleum that India uses is imported from other countries. Hence transportation and import taxes add to the oil prices. Secondly, Most of the oil mines are situated in non ideal conditions and extraction from these mines involves a lot of exhaustive techniques which are costly! Thirdly, Oil resources are limited around the world, and are getting depleted day by day at a rate faster than the wink of an eye. Selling of oil doesnt resemble selling of vegetables where one sells it off at cheap prices when they are about to get over. Instead, they have to be used with a little concern and hence the government along with other world leaders feel it is necessary for oil prices to go on a roll. Another reason which I feel is one of the main cause for the hike in oil prices is the increasing amount of private automobiles! Some of the ways to counter attack the rise in oil prices is to find alternative means of energy which

is cheap as well as non renewable more importantly. Examples being cng, solar power which can work as very effective substitutes. Some kind of a channel which can serve as means of transportation thus cutting down the transportation charges. Lots of new vehicles which can carry the commoners in masses need to be implemented very soon and some kind of a law needs to be passed similar to the law or decision made by the TRAI which said not more than 100 smses per day can be sent from a sim card. Similarly the government can pass a law which checks the number of personal vehicles owned by a person thus automatically reducing the consumption of oil prices. A lot of executives get vehicles for personal use which can be banned, presenting automobiles, which is the case in most of the cricket tournaments as an award can be stopped. The common masses can be made aware of the depleting oil resources and educated about the efficient usage and control of oil through public meetings, advertisements, hoardings, and pamplets.

I go through almost all the post but no body talks about the Transportation expenditure cut. Why? Actually the thing that hike the price of Oil is following & these are also those factors that serve our aim too. Here these are 1.Demand-Supply Margin! 2.Limited resource! 3.Producer are well bounded!(Which lead to some how towards monopoly) 4.Technology used in production! 5.Transportation of oil across the Globe! 6.Non-Ideal Geographical presence of Oil sources! 7.Lack of awareness between the user of product! 8.Poor management pre & post management! etc. Of-course the demand of oil is very in present day & it will keep increasing, than question is arises how it will at least controlled at same level if we don't push it down? For we have to search out the renewal energy source. It not only resolve the demand-supply margin but it also make us deal with the traditional dependency of energy resource. We have also use such technology that is cheaper that currently available one, side by side more efficiently do production of Oil from it's raw material. Regarding transportation i just want to say that,it the major part that is take care for regarding control over Oil price hike;because it effect the oil price hike a lot.we all know that oil is not similarly distributed over the glob,so it need to be transported over the glob by means of transport.During transport we lose a huge amount of oil & we also expend huge money;so it's needed that we search out some way that is cheaper & safe, like Pipeline between producer & major consumer. Beside of these of-course all those awareness that are mention by other earlier here are also

needed. But we have some how make law that enforced the ban of production of limitless personal vehicle & to those vehicle which gave low mileage :(

I agree with all above points and I also appreciate it, but here I wants to puts some of my points related to this particular topic. We all known that oil and other natural resource which are in limited amount in our earth crust are reducing day by day due to which their prices are increasing. According to Kofi anan the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations, served from 1997 to 2006 that we should use natural resources very carefully and very intelligently so that our future generation can also use it. So in the nutshell I want to say that rather than using the natural resource use some alternative ways. Alternative way I mean that we should use the renewable source of energy like cng, solar energy etc. So that our non renewable natural resources become safe for the future generation.

As per my opinion the various factors which control price of oil are its transportation cost, govt. taxes and the instability in the oil producing nations. The ways by which we can reduce the price of oil are We should try to save as much of oil as possible by various ways depicted by the advertisement of oil corporations like stop the engine at red light area, run the vehicle to optimum speed, etc We should find the new sources of oil in our country and be self-reliant in deciding the price of oil. The instability of the govt. of oil producing nations should be corrected, so that the oil from these places can be supplied to other nations.

In recently the miss use of oil has increase.

Use of electric vehicles and awareness towards the efficient use of petroleum etc are the ways of controlled consumption of petroleum and money also but here the question is How to deal with high oil prices? at present consumption level. There are some important ways by which we can overcome this problem. They are exploitation of new indigenous petroleum areas at country level because India imports most of the petroleum from outside which causes its high price due to addition of different taxes to it along with central and state taxes. Establishment of oil refinaries at all potential places can also help in reducing the the price peak of petroleum because Iindia mainly imports crude oil and refines it at its refinaries which is located at only certain places in the country. That also adds additional cost to it in the form of state taxes, service taxes, transportation charges and labour charges. Other important ways are discovery of potential oil substitutes that can be use in the place of oils like petrol and diesel so that people can use it in place of them and if their demand will less automatically price will fall according to the principles of Economics. These above ways can be used to deal with high oil prices according to my point of view.

Well friends the question is how to deal with oil prices. So we should think about in two parts. one is at national level and another is at international level. At national level we should explore the new sources of fuel. These are CNG, bio diesel, jatropa planting, exploration of new oil fields and use of electricity power driven vehicles. As we have recently concluded the nuclear pact with US and have also received the supply of nuclear fuel for civil purposes we should create the infrastructure for gaining more elect out of nuclear reactors and enhance the use of metros in city on the line of Delhi Metro. The reason for hike in oil price is increasing demand of oil and shortage of crude oil in internation market. Though the govt is giving a heavy subsidy on oil but it is not sufficeint. So we should control our needs and try to accommodate in publice transport. Here govt should ensure that quality public transport is provided and must cost less to the consumers comparing in using their own vehicle. The point of exice duty 55% in India and 20% is also agreed to. But we must understand that US has full access on oil fields in west Asia and they are a lot of reserves. That's why they have less exice duty though thier demand and consumption is much thigher that out country. It is not quite easy to control the crude oil prices since many developing countires are on path of being developed. so we should look at our needs and expediture and look for alternative source of fuel to avoid any crunch situation in future. At international level the world leaders should think about the increase demand of crude oil and its consumption. The oil fields must be properly explored but it should also be think that when the oil is being used as fuel it is increasing the green house effect and causing pollution. So elect must be developed as alternative source of crude oil and subsidy be given to developing countires so that common people are not affected.

As per the discussion going on I would like to add on that as petrol prices are touching its peak. 1) One solution can be using of one vehicle for four to five person for office has to be encouraged instead of using one car each. This practices are opted in some societies in Delhi and Mumbai but other cities has to look towards this idea. This will decrease traffic jam delays and most important save fuel and money. 2) Using of solar powered, battery powered or mechanical power vehicles. In developed countries of europe and Japan special lanes are made for cycles for fuel saving method and healthy techniques. 3) Many scientist are reseaching on biofuel like Jatropa which will be used instead of petroleum in future.

But all of us can add some ideas and some thoughts, As per my concern. That government should be changed some rule and regulation. Which is important for government and also for general people. First thing government should be aware about traffic rule and black oil. Some petrol owner is taking more petrol from government but they are selling in black. And I will share with you. On here one more thing. General people should be used of fuel in right manner. Those who want to buy a good new bicke and car whatever they want. I will say to him please. Buy a good mileage vickiels. And take care of vickels and get service on time to vickels. Which you are using.

Hi, I am agree with all views but consumers obey their responsibility means use the govt vehicles. We can't directly blame the government for the hike the price of fuel. Because most of the oil is imported from other countries. It varies with price per barrel in accordance with international standards.

Hey , One can't directly blame the government for the hike in oil prices , as most of the oil is

imported from other countries , it varies with price per barrel in accordance with the international standards. The only remedy to increased oil price is maximum use of public transport , govt can provide better means of transport by making it accessible to almost all the people .People traveling to the same destination should drop their ego & use only one common transport . These little efforts will save a huge amount of money & less wastage of resources !

HI Friends, There is only way through which the problem can be solved is, If diesel rate increases means all the lorry transport missions put hold their lorries for more than 3 days to reduce the hike of diesel.Hence diesel were not increased often it is been increased 1 rp or 2 rp /ltr. But all the rest of people can do is ? If the petrol is going to increase upto 100rs/ltr.I am sure it will happen sooner. The only way is all people must stop riding their vehicles which uses petrol for atleast 3 days . So the source is definitely atleast there will be reduction of 5rs in petrol rate.IF we follow every time the government increases petrol rates surely there wont be hike..BUt the matter of fact is none is going to follow this. The idea given from me will be like a film maker telling a story to you.. BUt it will surely happen

if all people follow my idea.... This is my point.

I think for rise in Petrol clearly indicates Government is lazy and totally handicapped. This also indicates our system is so inefficient that they can not take any steps to reduce oil prices which is a basic need of people. People don't have power to do anything, so that's why they choose govt by casting their valuable vote and what they get is nothing good. People are suffering because of Government.

I agree with all, But here again matters is corruption. Many frauds are taking place still. So somewhere or the other it matters. Using nonrenewable source can be the main advantage to reduce the prices of oil. And the mentality of the people don't change, there perceptions should be changed towards everywhere. They must come together and must cooperate each other.

Hello friends instead of using vehicles which runs from petrol and deisel we should use those vehicle which runs from renewable sources like solar energy, hydrogen etc and we should also use alternatives like bicycles for shorter distance. I think that goverment must have to take some strict steps like decrease in excise duty which is 55% in India and in us it is only 20%. So this is making a big difference in oil prices.

Hi friends, Rise in the oil prices is the burning issue in our country at present, but who is responsible for this? government or people or the oil companies? I can say that without any hesitation that all are responsible for this situation. The govt expects some more income if they increase the prices and also the oil companies also expects more profit as their investments increases ultimately the people especially the middle class people suffer a lot. People plays a key role in increasing the oil prices, because they they use the vehicles unnecessarily for the short distances resulting in the increase of the fuel contest which ultimately increases the demand for the oil. So I would surely say that public should understand the advantages of public transport which reduces the pollution also and use bicycles for shorter distances and govt should encourage people to use the bicycles instead of hiking the oil prices and save the non-renewable sources for the future generation.

We can't ignore this problem.but we could not get free from it. the thing that we can do is just trying to reduce this problem.our government should take some serious step to give increament in public transport so that we can travell easily without any trouble.our young generation can give their contribution a lot by prefering bicycle than bike for a short distance. They should use bike only where ever it is necessary. our parents should motivate their children since from their childhood about the saving of oil and other non renewable sources . this is only the way we can get relief from this problem. Hi friends.... All of your thoughts & views about this topic were awesome...bcoz, I feel very happy to find that there are these many citizens who care for the welfare of economic and political condition of our country... First of all, we all must remember that there is no Government without people... So, blaming government alone doesn't make any changes, each and every individual is responsible whatever the ups and downs happens to our country.I won't say that government isn't responsible for High Oil prices issues, off course it too got something to do with this issue. If some critical issue can't be prevented, then the solution to solve that issue is 'Reduction with cooperation'. Each and every individual must take responsibilities to control this issue, like killing the engine in Traffic jam and preserving few quantity of fuel can be preserved and encouraging use of Eco-friendly vehicles which has better fuel efficiency, which of these will automatically bring down the demand for oil and cause reduction in oil prices. So, even little things causes big changes...

Hi friends. As I have found from the above discussion that. There are two reason behind oil price rise first one is direct or second one is indirect. Unnecessary use of such non-renewable resource like prefer own conveyance over public conveyance one of the example of it. Corruption one of the indirect and main reason behind this oil prose rise. Again and again gov give the same reply when the people of their country ask about the reason for pries hike of oil that due decrease in the value of rupees in caparison of dollar. We, you and everyone know that it have not decreased every time. It was just fluctuating. And one thing more excise duty on petrol in our country is 55% while in us its only 20%. So if we want to come out from this problem then we have keep our feet first on the road of remedy use renewable energy resources like cng, cnc, bio fuel, hydrogen gas etc. And prefer public conveyance and share your conveyance with your friends, relatives. Our government should make some strict rule ad regulations like no one can keep more than one vehicles and appreciate the use of renewable energy resourses.

Hello friends, every one's thought and suggestions are best, but in my view implementation is the most important thing to be remind in our mind. Every one's personal involvement starting from rich person to the middle class, every one should do the same thing. First we have to sorting our all daily activity in the priority basis of using personal vehicle. The activities which need the most requirement of personal vehicle we should use there only. We should also restrict our self within a target that every month I should not use more than 10 lit of petrol as per our requirement. Until we feel that the effect is also indirectly with us, it is very difficult to control till we plan for anything.

As far far as economic policies are concerned government can't bare the increase in fiscal deficit as oil prices has grown up in the international oil market. We can go for conventional energy sources.

Hi friends, in my point of view the best way to deal with oil price hike is that instead of using personal conyenance we should give preferance to public transport system. When neccessay than only we should use own conveyance. It will save money as well as reduce petrol consumption used by per person. Govt. Can play a major role by improving public transport system. 80%crude oil is imported by India and only 20% crude oil is produced in India. Our economy is running on imported oil. As the govt has dereguralised the oil prices, now the rates of oil depend on international crude oil rate. So as the rate of oil goes up in international market, the Indian companies are compled to increase the oil prices. Crude oil is a scar resourse in India as we hardly produce 20% of our total consumption so the dependance on oil should be reduced. Govt should take initiative towards alternative energy such as cng, cnc, solar energy, bio fuel, hydrogen energy and so on. In developed countries they are exploring the opprutniy in these area, so we should also move towards that. One more thing, by the end of 2050 there will be no oil left on the earth as said by experts. So preseve oil and save money and use oil couciousely. Thank you.

Hello friend's, I am agree with you but one thing is to be kept in mind that we all are responsible for this, because we all wants earn money quickly that's the main reason behind this. We all know about stock market. There are two type of market one is capital and other one is commodity market. In commodity market you can buy any thing in a huge amount and it will store automatically in govt go-down in your account and you can sell it in future in high price and can earn money so easily that's way the person who is rich he is becoming rich and the poor becoming poor so govt should ban on commodity market.

Other thing is that govt is imposing 28% (state govt) on one litter in the form of vat and other tax, so you can imagine the actual price of oil its around 35 Rs. (included transportation) so we are giving a large amount on tax. It, s our responsibility to use Oil in a efficiently & intelligently. Thanks.

Friends I'm agree with your points ..but how we think about to deal with icreased price of oil if we don't know the exact reason of rise in oil prices .!! we see that from last six months there is sudden rise in oil prices. what u think ? why price of oil will be increase continuously ? 1.firstly Increase in price of oil is depend upon the demand of oil.....in simple word price directly proportional to demand . 2.second thing is that indian government applied 50-55% of tax on the oil that is much higher in comparrison of other counteries for example ..in USA excise duty on oil is only 20-25%... These all reasons that i discussed above are the general reason but real picture is somthing different In present days when we ask this question from indian government. then they will give the explanation that rise in the price of oil is due to increase in the price of raw crude oil and second reason that "fall in value indian money that is rupees in comparisson of dollar". But if we read last 1 year detail of crude oil prices and comaparrison value of dollar and rupees according to that indian government making us fool because price of crude oil was increased once in last year no doubt but every time when price of oil was icreased they gave the same explanation that price of crude oil is

increased and secondly that now a days they gave reason the value of rupees is decreased in commparrison of dollar. i m agree with this point but it is not possible that from last 1 year every time value rupees is fall in comparrison of dollar. Sometimes value of rupees will increase and somtime decrease so its fluctuating. "when value of rupees is fall then Indian government increase the prices of oil ...but when value of rupees will go high ....that time they never reduced the oil prices.." IN SIMPLE WORDS GOVERNMENT IS TOTALLY CORRUPTED. NOW WHAT IS OUR DUTY TO REDUCE THE PRICES. 1. Use CNG in place petrol and diesel in vehicles. 2. Go by walk or by bicycle for short distance. 3. Use fuel efficient vehicles.

Everybody keeps there thoughts regarding the oil price hike. Everybody right according to their perception. But according to me this is fault of government policies and its decision makers. The mechanisms used by governments people that is wrong. Because they are not playing required role to control the oil prices and food inflation. Measure thing is our majority of politician and bureaucrats are corrupt. They take bribe to aam janta as well as they committe many scams. For example suresh kalmadi, A raja. Kanimozi. Lalu prasad exeptra. There are a lot off politician who are corrupt they do not think welfare of aam janta. They only think for selfish. Many business man and actor and player as well as bureaucrats, their accounts in swis bank allegedly. There are 95 percent money is black. Example related to scam, money laundering, bribery etc. That is why our real economy is not growing. You say oil price hike is international agenda. I know but our country can control everything. Increasing oil price is a serious problem for India. Due to corruption this types of bad situation come for India. If this situation continues another 2 year people avoid motor vehicles which will hamper the economics condition of India. Another thing is also important that the price of motor vehicles are decreasing day by day so people prefer more than require van for them and unnecessarily waste fuel and money also. Now a days if a person wants to go school, college (1 0r 2 km) they need a bike or

car, for that the price of fuel increase. If govt increase the oil price slowly it does not affect the country.

Hi friends, As we know that we are facing the problem of price rise, oil rise and so many problems. That are endless. Many people suggested government is responsible for it. Some said we are responsible for it. Some said government should take serious action, some said we should change our life style. We should use solar energy, cycle and so on. But what will happen? neither government nor we will change for discussion for blaming one another all the mentioned points are right. But suffering is still continuing. As we know there are three category. Rich class. Middle class and poor class. You know there are two category which do not have any affect of price rise. First is rich class and second is poor class. Now you must be thinking what I am saying? is it a joke ? no my dear its a fact. Let me explain you with an example, yesterday I went to agrawal sweets to buy some sweet. It is the no 1 sweet shop in my locality. They increased 30 rs per kg. By saying this that price rise is hiked. You know earlier they were earning 60 rs per kg now they are earning 80 rs per kg. So how can you say that price rise is bad for them. It is not the story of one sweet man it is the story of all the person who are rich. In the same way yesterday I went to one autowala. He also, we have increased fare by 5 rs per kilometer b/c oil price had been hiked. Earlier he was earning 300 rs per day, now he is earning 500 rs per day. So how can we price rise is a curse. It is a boon for these type of person. Category which is seriously affected by price rise is only middle class a stupid common man. Person who is getting the fix salary. What does he say? to whom does he say? He can not say nothing b/c he has been speechless. One thing he can do is that suffering suffering

suffering. I know I am beating about the bush.

Hi Friends, As I read all of your suggestions I agreed, but one of our friend well said that price of petrol or diesel is inversely proportional to the availability & directly proportional to the demand. So the main issue is that how we can decrease?as from my opinion the government should give limited amount of fuel. To everyone once in every month. As they are providing grains to the people who belongs to the rural areas. From this way we can control the excessive wastage of fuel. What I meant to say that every family will get some amount of fuel once in every month. I think this is the best we can decrease the price as well as the consumption. So, what you all guys are waiting for?do you think I'm right?

Thank you. If you like this please send this msg to the government.

In my opinion we are also somehow responsible for the problem. We should encourage cycling in between people. It will not only solve the fuel problem but also help us to maintain our health too. I still remember once I raised these issues among my friends, they laughed at me but I must say that if the situation will remain same the day is not so for that some of us will stacked on the road on their luxurious car and/or bike and someone will pass them on cycle. Now we are the capital in the world in diabetic patients so why are we not encouraging the people to cycling to reach places near to us. In our time we used to go to our college/coaching/market by cycling but now even 10 th standard student demands bikes due to status symbol and some where we are the culprit that we have made such environment that if someone will try to initiate we thinks he is fool. Herein some points are given that can solve not only the fuel problem but some other problems also. 1. We can spent good money and time for gym but can't use multitasking like going office by cycle (save time/fuel/body exercise). 2. Implement car pulling concept as it's there in developed country. 3. Reduce traffic on the road. 4. Be healthy & smart/money saver by going to your work place by cycling. 5. Avoid chances of being sugar/heart patient. Apart from this government should implement & encourage public transport to rural arias. There should be some kind of encouragement/mechanism that person who will come by cycle to the office (distance should be categorized) will be awarded. As the company like GE used to encourage their employees for fitness by giving them fitness accessories & machines. Hence once we will be successful to reduce the demand it might work.

Hike in the oil prices is a major concern really this is because of the politics its going up day by day. As you all know the tax on the oil products is 52% we must think wisely and precisely to overcome this problem. The automotive companies are designing comfort vehicles by leaving the main aspect

of efficiency, so the companies should have to think of reducing the fuel consumption. We are having a lot of innovative engineers who are capable of designing these vehicles. We being the one of the best in the world can produce such kind of vehicles. And finally from our perspective we have to avoid dependency on our vehicles only we have take things for granted only you are in peak of need.

As you know, when there was shortage of LPG and the price of LPG was going higher and higher then our government implemented a method of CONNECTION according to which today also we are getting a LPG cylendor only after 21 days. So I think to weedout this problem of high oil prices, our government should choose a method like that of LPG with some conditions according to size or power of the vehicle and if after implementaion of the law, someone want more oil, then the price for him/her should be 50% higher than the actual price. Though it is complicated but possible and I am sure that only then the youth or people who use petrol or other oil in excess would think about the importance of this precios energy resource.

Hi friends. After the whole discussion, it comes and ends to the corruption. We are paying 57% of tax only on oil. There is no need of paying any taxes if we get the black money back from the swiss bank. However, we are the one who start corruption and blame the politicians. If a person is willing to start a business, he cannot just go and start the business himself. He requires an official permission for the place and all. For getting the permission immediately and start the business as soon as possible, people demand for a bribe and the person does give him a bribe because the need of the person is to start the business immediately. We should make the use of electric bikes in order to reduce the use of petrol. We should control our want to get a vehicle for ourselves. Today if we see the condition each person in the family has got his/her own vehicle. If there are 6 members in a family, each one of them does have a vehicle. But, having our own vehicle is sometimes convenient. I mean most of the times it is convenient. The only reason for this is the inconvenient public transport system. The government should surely make efforts on improving the transport system. Because we can't go and improve the transport system

ourselves.

High oil price is the major cause in India now a days. Oil like petrolium, deasel etc are not the Indian product. These are the foreign product, but in our country our demand towards oil is much more evenif we are talking about the averages no single people doing their work per a day without using oil. How the price is grown up, simillarly the consumers demand is grown up day by day. It's no doubt. Our India is a developing country, because here so much corruptions are now leading. Our government purchages oil from the out side countries much less but due to including some politics the oil reaches to the consumer at high price. If we neglect this thing that it's ok. Because our money will go to the govt, but it is quitely sucked that these money is not going to our govt, these are go to the great politicians and black mailers who are increasing their bank balance. If here the consumers want to complain about the high prices in the costumer care, their is no good facility available. Due to this in our country the price of oil iuncreases and no one concetrate about this. So many laws are annouced to reduce the oil prices but noone should be properly applicable still now. So the poor peoples are severely suffer in the rise of oil price. For our generation I humbly request to all of you, we are the young generation we should must tke step about the oil price. Thanks.

To deal with the increase prices of oil we should be aware of our duties and rights. Our duties are just to minimize the unusual use of the oil or petroleum as well as our rights are we can check the appropriate prices of oil from refinery and then we can check the exact price by including transport tax in to that. And if we found that we have to paid much more than the exact price then we can make appeal for it these are our rights.

Like start of using the all renewable sources that available and also if you are the science student then go for the new reasearch about the renewable searches, also think about that if start using the renewable sources and the electricity operating vehicles so that they are pollution free and it gives the safety to the all human beings and the animals. And if the taxes on the all oil becomes free then the cost of the oil must become less, so must try to aware others to dealing of the high prices of the oil.

Hai friends! I think its both the people and the government duty to reduce the unnecessary wastage of fuel which is non renewable. Government has to take interest to increase the use of other renewable resources such as solar energy, bio gas, thermal power, wind power. 1. Use bicycles for small distance run. 2. Use solar energy by adopting solar cell, solar heater etc, 3. Use buses, railways whenever possible so that rs and oil invest also decreased per people, . 4. Switch off light at sleeping so that electrical energy production is less during night

Now a days so many people are using fuel because for all people vehicle is most required. For reduce this problem use other technology like solar energy, thermal power and wind power. By using these things we are able to reduce max 60% of problem. The problem is not only with government it is with us also because so many people are wasting fuels unnecessarily. And if we took a block money back we are reduce price of a fuels maximum. So please co operate for the people who are effort for block money. Be responsibility person. Our Indian government was mostly wasting money unnecessarily by sports and for some silly things also our government using cores of money. With this only few people are reachable remaining poor people are maximum like that only they are not changing their positions. So many richest people are not paying income tax for their own properties governmental has not responding for those people. If they pay taxes properly mostly some problem has been solves. Develop other technology for reducing this problem like with air vehicle will moves like this. Thank you all.

Go by walk or by bicycle.

Hello friends, as you all of us know that we can't blame one or two persons for this petrol price increasing because only one or two are not responsible for that but we can overcome on this problem if will put some major steps toward this. Like we can save petrol by the use of bicycle. But up to some extent government is also responsible for this but although we are also responsible for that we should think that we are a member of this country so we also have some responsibility for this country. Yes we can also make use of shut down of engine when we are not using the vehicle. Overpopulation is also a big cause for this. So do something for poor people.

I would appreciate all the above points but the blame weighs heavier on govt. 's side. I can cite my own experience. From the beginning of the college days I did use the dtc bus to commute. If I was lucky I used to get the bus on time or otherwise i'd to sacrifice my 1 or more lec's attendance. This prompted to finally use my own vehicle and now onwrds whenever I plan to take bus it disappoints the very day. Even most of the government workers are generally less dedicated to their duties. If regular and proper checks are done on their works, it'll surely contribute to the good. And last but not the least, the money wasted by the govt. Employee for their own purpose, money that goes into the corrupted pockets if can compensate for all the tax bounds will do good to the common man.

Hello friends,

I read all your comments, its a very nice discussion. First of all, all must think about the one thing is, hike in oil price is not only due to Arab countries issues, american intervention but also due to Indian government, most of the Indian oil companies increase the oil price because of their loss. That loss is nothing but loss in expected profit. If government have to reduce the tax for Indian oil companies, then price hike is automatically ruled out and also reduce exports of petroleum products because petroleum is also an valuable resource, every thing after only the Indian people consumption. If lok pal has able to pass, all our tears will definitely gone way from India.

So its now our responsibilty how to make optimum use of it or how to avoid it. There are many alternatives to Oil. We have the strongest renewable, never ending resource....thats SUNLIGHT....So friends we atleast have that much sence that what is good and what is bad. Start implementing at individual's level. If we want to improve of economic condition nd making growth. Then we should apply two things. At first we should give our cotribution to stop the corruption and request to the youngster who are going abroad to earn the money and they are giving their valueable tax to other contries in terms of doller and other economy where they are working. By using this money other countries are making strong their economy. If the youngsters will stay here and will give their tax to the country then our country's economic status will be improve and we should not also forget about our man power. By using those techniques our country will growth very rapidly and will successful country. Because the density of water depend upon the particles, if our particles like youngesters will go abroad then our country's density will decrease. So we should not go abroad nd contribute in growth of our country.

If we see our Indian history we were always strong in our population. More than population the number of eligible workforce we have either knowledge industrylike IT or banking or Govt services or in manufacturing take for eg. TVS or Ambani or Tatas. We never lagged in our talent or hard workship.

On the other hand, India is blessed with good amount of minerals like Rice, Wheat, Coffee, Cash crops like Cashew, etc. So now we have materials and man. We have always banked upon our strengths like our knowledgeable work forces I the recent years esp. From 1990s. Do not forget Agriculture in the end is a mfg sector which contributed to 65% of our GDP and now it contributed to mere 25%. This is good for our economy as well because We are good at services industry now. More than 50% GDP is from services. If you compare this with developed nation like USwhere service industry contributes to 60% nearly to their GDP. So we are now a right mix of services + mfg. But with little more emphasis on mfg we are ready to rock the world. After all do not forget India is one of few countries who were not affected by that 2007 recession!

And about the wine. It doesnt matter that the wine is new or old but the thing to be consider is whether the wine is real or fake. If it is real then it will for sure tastes good but if it is mixed up with corruption n malicious components. Then it may lead to death. If the wine tastes good it will definately hike our economy which catches the interest of foreign countries and they will make economic & IT sectors which provide jobs based on your area of interest n will pay tax to our country. This all need dedication to our nation. Words are just a part of daily life but we need to implement it.

In my point of view these politicians are the main culprits for this Indian Economy. In each and every field everyone is corrupted. This scam that scam like that everyone is saying about that but the problem is not solving and that scams. That culprits are in front of us but govt is not bothered about that because of the politicians how play a major role in this. Simply this politicians displaying the Budget that we have done this work that work but how much quality of work they have done they don't want that they want to show this much of budget and swallow remaining. By this how the Indian economy can be increased. Some of the indians after completing this Graduation. They are interested to study in abroad. They want to stay over there earn money over there increase that countries economy. Like this our Abdul kalam and our sachin will think like them. They are not bothered about that foreign country dollar or pound they are think about their Nation, their mother land. In each and every field there many competitive exams like this. There should me some should be something like this for the young political leaders to enter into politics. So, at last my conclusion is study here, stay here, earn here, pay tax here, live here and make a good Nation and increase Indian Economy. Jai hind!

Hi Today i m speaking on the topic. INDIAN ECONOMY AS THE OLD WINE IN NEW BOTTLE, I disagree with this statement. Indian economy is the new wine in the old bottle. The whole outline is old but the inner beauty is new,its different from the encient wine. Since 1991, libralization, urbanization, globalization, has changed the Indian economy. Our economy is moving for better acheivement. After independence Indian economy has raised its

flag of success. The educated or litterate peopl of India who are in now foreign countries should come in their country. Many Indians are working in other countries. They are working their for the development of that country . They are helping in to improve their economic conditions. But those Indian people who in other countries should come in their countries. They should come in India. It will help us to improve our economic conditions. We are seeing that by 1991 the Indian public sector and the private sector are boomong in all over the world. These sectors are providing employment to the unemployed person but willing to do work. By this the economic condition is becoming beter. Our country's GDP rate has been increasing . The litteracy level of our country is also increasing. In the past years on our country only agriculture was in more use but now the manufacturing and service sector is in demand and making more profits.People have their talent n wllingness to do work. t seems every time we turn on the television, open the newspaper, or listen to the radio that we come across another report about gas prices reaching a record high. In fact, in just five short years, gas prices have soared from just over a dollar per gallon to a national average of $3.47 per gallon as of April 18th. Just in the past two weeks, we've seen an increase of 15 cents per gallon. Industry analysts have been reporting that the trend won't be stopping anytime soon - we could see gas prices rise as much as 30 more cents per gallon over the next few weeks. Rising gas prices continues to be one of the issues that I am hearing most about from my constituents - and that is understandably so. Families across the country are surely feeling the impacts of these surging gas prices on their family budgets. I appreciate the e-mails, phone calls, and letters that I have received on this issue, and I am devoting a significant amount of time to researching and addressing this. Many of those I have heard from have expressed their desire to understand why gasoline prices have risen so quickly. The price of gasoline at the consumer level is the result of a combination of factors. These factors include breaks in the distribution network, as we saw happen in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and general instability in major oil producing regions such as South America and the Middle East. Combined with increased demand around the world and state

and federal taxes averaging nearly $.60 per gallon, gas prices have reached all time highs. This primer, FAQs: Gas Prices, has been designed to answer the most common questions regarding gas prices that are coming into my office. Please take a moment to review this publication and to also visit my website at forbes.house.gov to share your thoughts and concerns on gas prices and what you are experiencing in your community and how it is impacting your family or business. I look forward to hearing from you. With kind personal regards, I am

Yours truly,

J. Randy Forbes Membe r of Congress

Why have gas prices risen so dramatically over the past couple of years?

A Recent History of Gas Price Increases and Their Causes Gas prices are impacted by a number of factors, each individually placing its own pressure on our overall energy system. Some affect the price of crude oil and others affect the cost of producing and marketing gasoline, but combined, these factors greatly impact the fluctuation of gas prices that we experience on a daily basis. Changes in crude oil prices - Crude oil prices are determined by worldwide supply and demand, with significant influence by the Oil Producing and Exporting Countries (OPEC) as they determine how much oil to produce and sell to other countries. The more crude oil OPEC chooses to produce and release, the lower the price. Additionally, because oil is traded in a world market, events in remote areas affect the price of crude oil for almost everyone. In recent years, worldwide events that have impacted gas prices include: Decisions by the OPEC cartel to raise production quotas slowly and reluctantly after having reduced them in 2002. An increase in worldwide demand for oil, including unexpected demand growth in China, India, and other quickly developing nations. These nations have experienced a tremendous growth in the number of citizens who have access to automobiles, and their billion-person populations have a strong impact on the amount of crude oil needed in those parts of the world. Disruptions in oil production in countries that are major exporters, including Venezuela, Iraq and Nigeria. A decline in the value of the U.S. dollarthe currency in which oil is traded in the world marketcompared to other major currencies, particularly the Euro.

Refinery imbalances - Oil refineries are plants where crude oil is processed and refined into more useful petroleum products, such as gasoline, diesel fuel, heating oil, and kerosene. Currently, imbalances within the U.S. oil refinery industry have contributed to the steady increase in gas prices. With economic growth in the U.S., our demand for gasoline has increased greatly. However, despite the demand increase, domestic refining capacity has declined as a result of the refining industry operating with lower inventories of both crude oil and gasoline as a means of cutting costs. This has reduced their ability to meet sudden oil demands in the U.S., which leads to greater price pressure. With these domestic refining constraints, a greater proportion of gasoline demand has to be met with imported products.

Seasonal changes - Other outside influences, like the time of year, can have a serious impact on gas prices as well. Gas prices increase greatly during the summer and holiday seasons because Americans travel increases during these times. For example, the American gas demand increases by 5% in the summer season, resulting in higher gas prices during these times.

What national factors impact gas prices?

The Causes of Fluctuating Regional Gas Prices Fluctuating gas prices do not depend solely on crude oil production. Gas prices naturally fluctuate regionally due to environmental programs, supply proximity, and retail competition: Environmental programs - Gasoline markets within the U.S. are separated by region because of varying air quality requirements established by the state. In order to meet these varying standards, oil refineries must use different formulations, called boutique fuels, which cause refiners to lose flexibility in production. This, in turn, creates an increase in price pressure. Proximity of supply - Americans living farther from the Gulf Coast, where half of gasoline in the U.S. is produced, tend to have higher gas prices because they are paying to cover the cost of transporting the gas from the refinery. Competition in your local market Local market competition varies from region to region, and gas prices will naturally reflect the amount of competition in your area. For example, more rural areas may experience high gas prices because there are fewer stations supplying gas. Likewise, an area with a number of stations will offer the most competitive prices because they are trying to offer the lowest price in an effort to draw consumers to their store.

Where does my money go at the pump?

The Components of Retail Gas Price Gas prices fluctuate based on where you live, but the following breakdown is a standard representation of where your money is going at the pump. The cost of crude oil is the largest factor in determining gasoline prices, because at least 50% of the price of gasoline is reflective of the cost of crude oil. Local gasoline prices take about seven weeks to reflect a change in crude oil prices. The cost to refine oil and the process to transform crude oil into gasoline makes up 20% of the total cost of gasoline. Local, state, and federal taxes are levied on gasoline, accounting for 20% of the total cost. The cost of the gas company's advertising campaign is passed on to the consumer and accounts for about 10% of the total cost of gasoline.

How are rising gas prices impacting the U.S.?

Farming High energy costs impact the amount of crop farmers are able to produce during the year. Because farmers use energy in the fertilization process, high energy costs are causing farmers to cut their normal production quotas. Farm fuel costs increase each year, and overall percentage spent on fuel increased almost 10% between 2000 and 2005 according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In response to the decrease in production, the overall cost of food to consumers has increased. According to a report by the non-partisan Congressional Research Service, U.S. food prices rose 4% in 2007 and are expected to gain 3.5% to 4.5% in 2008. Manufacturing Manufacturers are also experiencing an increase in the amount spent on energy to produce goods. In order to make up for the increased amount spent on energy, manufacturers must pass on costs to consumers and even sometimes lower the amount they are paying workers for their labor. This drives the cost of products up and strains our economy. Tourism Rising gas prices have an enormous impact on the tourism industry. Airlines, cruise lines, and bus lines all need fuel to operate; hotels, resorts, and restaurants need energy to heat and cool their buildings; and families traveling by car who have to pay over $3 per gallon are beginning to limit their normal travels. Increased travel costs have made normal travel difficult, and the overall tourism industry is suffering. A decline in tourism means small cities and towns who depend on tourism to fuel their economies are suffering economically. The airline industry is struggling to keep airline travelers.

Individual Disposable Income Perhaps the most personally painful aspect of the rising gas prices is the way that it is impacting individual disposable income. Gas prices have placed pressure on budgets as families and individuals must readjust their spending in order to pay high amounts to heat their homes and drive their cars. Sense of Security High gas prices impact our sense of security as consumers. Price gouging has become a threat to consumers, causing many consumers to wonder if they are being ripped off at the gas station. Gouging is the act of an individual station taking advantage of supply problems (real or perceived) and inflating their price to take advantage of the supply problem. Most experts agree that it is difficult for a consumer to make a definitive judgment as to whether they are a victim of price gouging. Each state has different standards as to what is considered taking unfair advantage of a crisis, and each states attorney general monitors these situations closely, but regardless, the sense of consumer security as it relates to fuel is lost.

What steps should our nation take to address gas prices?

We Must Release Our Dependency on Foreign Oil We will not see a dramatic decrease in gas prices until we release our dependency on foreign sources of oil. As it is right now, we are paying gas prices that directly reflect decisions by OPEC and disruptions of oil production due to instability within supplying countries. This dependency creates severe limitations on our national security options. Achieving energy independence will require us to work together and approach the energy crisis from multiple directionsdrilling within the U.S. will not provide enough oil for us to break our foreign dependency, so we must turn to a combined effort. Searching for diversified fuel sources, conserving energy on a personal level, and encouraging the use of energy efficient technology together will increase our chances of reaching energy independence.

We Must Increase Our Fuel Supply If we increase our fuel supply, we will lessen the pressure on gas prices. The first step in creating more fuel is by building new oil refineries and updating existing refineries. We havent built a new oil refinery in the U.S. since the late 1970s, and the inability of our existing refineries to meet fuel demands places great pressure on gasoline prices. A discussion of the current capacity of refineries, the need to upgrade refineries, and the steps needed to increase capacity to an appropriate level is essential to addressing our energy crisis. Many have begun to look at alternative sources of fuel including biodiesel and hydrogen, all of which can be produced domestically. These alternative sources of fuel generally have little or no impact on the environment from a pollution perspective. Additionally, alternative sources, which are produced by using resources such as corn or other vegetation, are renewable. However, recent increases in food prices have caused legitimate cause for concern over the best way to use food sources for alternative sources of fuel. We Must Support Alternative Energy Research and Development Seeking technological change through innovative research and development will not only allow us to become energy independent, but energy efficient. We improve energy efficiency when we improve parts of technology within a service so that it requires less energy in the process. Increasing energy research and development in our nation will increase our energy efficiency, while still allowing us some of the technological luxuries to which we have become accustomed. None of this is going to take shape if we try to accomplish it without the assistance of the best and brightest scientists and researchers in the U.S. acting in a modern day "brain trust" in order to study the best energy policies our country can adopt. We need to establish this commission of scientists and researchers to develop an energy plan that works for our nation, and that results in lower gas prices. We Must Conserve It is unreasonable for us to believe that telling people to drive hybrid cars, bike to work, and use energy efficient lightbulbs will solve our energy problem. While these things may have an immediate impact on an individual level, on a global scale we need a much larger, scientific-based conservation effort. By using

scientific research and development, energy conservation could be an important step in reducing our gasoline consumption and our energy demand. With rising gas prices, we can hope that increasing our conservation efforts may lead to lower costs and the reduction in the need to produce more power. The reduced energy demand can provide more flexibility in choosing the most preferred methods of energy production. The Department of Energy has a list of other low or no-cost ways to save energy in your home; this list is available on their websitehttp://www.energy.gov/yourhome.htm. These small acts on a personal scale can have a huge impact on the overall global scale.

What am I doing to address gas prices?

Appropriately addressing surging gas prices means seeing that we are covering areas that are directly affecting it, from refinery shortages, to releasing our dependency on foreign sources of oil, to supporting alternative energy research and development. Here are some of the ways I am addressing our energy crisis: Cosponsored H.R. 2927, which would increase the corporate average fuel economy standards for automobiles and promote the domestic development and production of advanced technology vehicles. This legislation would increase fleet-wide corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) standards for non-passenger and passenger automobiles to between 32 and 35 miles per gallon by 2020, and would establish separate standards for cars and light trucks. It also would establish an account to fund domestic commercialization and production of advanced technology vehicles and vehicle components and extend provisions providing manufacturing incentives for alternative fuel automobiles for 10 years. Supported the Advanced Fuels Infrastructure Research and Development Act, which would encourage the development of markets for alternative fuels and ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel through research, development, and demonstration. This would

help us diversify our fuel supply to include domestically produced alternative biobased fuels and lessen our dependence on foreign sources of oil. Voted in favor of the Senate amendments to H.R. 6, the Energy Bill, on December 18, 2007. The Senate Amendments to H.R. 6 removed controversial tax increases and a Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) provisions found in H.R. 6, while maintaining the increase in Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) Standards to a fleetwide standard of 35 miles per gallon by 2020, establishing a new Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) to reach 36 billion gallons of renewable fuel by 2022, providing for new energy efficiency and conservation standards, and increasing funding for research and development of alternative energy sources such as geothermal and solar technologies. Joined the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus, a group that is continually looking at the latest advancements in renewable energy, hydrogen, fuel cells, energyefficient buildings, transportation technologies, and industrial applications in an effort to promote cutting-edge technologies that protect the environment. Offering incentives for energy efficient products will encourage consumers to consider those products on an increased level, and will also encourage the expansion of energy-innovated market competition. Supported legislation that would make price gouging of crude oil, gas, or natural gas an offense punishable by fines or jail time, if the act occurs during an energy emergency as declared by the President. The Federal Price Gouging Prevention Act, H.R. 1252, would allow a state attorney general to pursue civil action against companies or individuals who violate this law. Voted in favor of legislation that would direct the Secretary of Energy to award competitive cash prizes biennially to advance the research, development, demonstration, and commercial application of hydrogen energy technologies. ThroughH.R. 632, the H-Prize Act of 2007, prizes would be awarded for: advancements in certain hydrogen components or systems; prototypes of hydrogen-powered vehicles or other hydrogen-based products; and transformational changes in technologies for hydrogen distribution or production. Voted in favor of H.R. 1716, the Green Energy Education Act of 2007, which would authorize the Secretary of Energy to contribute energy research and development funds to the National Science Foundation (NSF) for programs to support graduate

education related to energy projects such as the design and construction of high performance buildings. Voted in favor of legislation that would make oilproducing and exporting cartels, such as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), illegal under U.S. law. H.R. 2264 would prohibit foreign countries from forming cartels or other associations to affect the market, supply, price, or distribution of oil, natural gas, or other petroleum product in the United States. The Attorney General would be authorized to enforce this legislation under U.S. antitrust laws. The possibility of sovereign immunity for foreign states found in violation of this legislation would be waived.

Even as fixed investments may suffer, household consumption, which accounts for 57% of GDP, will hold up. It has taken 11 rate increases by the central bank to cool the economy. While there is no meaningful downward trend in inflation, growth is clearly coming off. However, that does not mean the Reserve Bank of India is done with its tightening.

Despite corporate India crying foul over the steep 50-basis point rise last time, the central bank may raise rates by another 50 bps in 2011, believe economists.

battles debt crisis If it does happen, how meaningfully will the tightening affect the GDP growth? While India Inc has been screaming blue murder, there is a school of economists that believes, despite the 475-bps effective rise in nominal policy rates, interest rates are stimulative. Credit Suisses Devika Mehndiratta says: Interest rates, whether you look at the 8-percent policy repo rate, 8.45-per-cent 10-year government bond yield, 10.5-per cent mortgage rates or the 14.25-percent banks benchmark lending rate, all are below nominal GDP growth, which stood at 18 per cent in the first quarter of 2011. Nominal GDP growth for first quarter of FY12 was 16.7 per cent, still higher than key interest rates. And, this has been the trend since 2003. Interestingly, nominal interest rates in India have never really exceeded the nominal GDP growth, at least since 2003. The real interest rate is in negative territory (-140 bps), which, effectively, is the difference between Indias policy rate (the repo rate being 8 per cent) and the inflation rate (WPI inflation is 9.4 per cent). Whether its corporate bond yields, mortgage rates or project finance costs, most are, evidently, far below the nominal GDP rate. However, there is some good news despite the economy slowing. While GDP growth is expected to slow to 7.5 per cent this financial year, chances of a hard landing seem remote. Indias household consumption (57 per cent of GDP) is unlikely to be particularly hard hit, as households are not leveraged. Fixed investments will suffer, as a large part of corporate India depends on bank lending, which will not be forthcoming. Yes, very few large corporates actually

borrow overseas at lower rates. However, debt on most companies books seems sustainable. While companies have taken on higher debt over the last 10 years, Credit Suisse says the equity base, too, has kept pace, resulting in the gross debt-equity ratio (of 255 listed companies) actually coming off over the long-term, from about 0.64 in 2002 to 0.52 now.

wrong this weeks blog is a pause for reflection; theres no big argument, just an observation In todays economic environment, perhaps now more than ever, the ability to adapt, to become dynamic, is the key to success. It doesnt matter whether we are talking about the individual or the organisation; its all about adaptability simple! To do this we need to learn to forget, to put the past in its place. Dont get me wrong, knowledge needs to be activated to bring about knowing and it needs to be applied in multiple settings, or repeated consistently, over a period of time to bring about expertise and there is a lot there that needs to be remembered. But what about the bad habits and the negative knowledge that basks on a festering inertia, undermining our ability to effectively contribute. I would hesitate a guess and say that it exists in all of us. However, with some, the dogmatic few, it consumes their judgement and impacts the dynamic of the group and sometimes even the organisation; at what cost to the individual and the organisation? Problem solving is a key tool in developing dynamic capability. The whole reason we get together to solve problems is that a solution does not currently exist again, simple. This means that you have to be prepared to forego personal bias for the greater good. What differentiates the excellent performer from the rest seems to be the judgement that allows them to distil the good from the bad; that allows them to sift through their experiences, discard what doesnt work, combine what does with that of others and develop workable solutions. If only we could teach that judgement, if only we could recognise the challenge within ourselves, become more aware, how much more valuable would we become?

Its more than that though. Negative knowledge plagues organisations. Stories can be so powerful and so good, but they can also destroy unless we are willing to unlearn what we are told. Problem-solving as a group, take Action Learning sets as an example, relies on trust and the group dynamic. How many people are capable of unlearning the belief they have in stories that circulate the water cooler; you know, the ones that grow arms and legs and pollute your view of the individual to the point where you just cant talk to them without it tickling the back of your mind? Seems like such a simple thing, learning and unlearning. So why does it seem to take a lifetime to master?

Re: Effect of recession india

Certainly there is a lot of effect of US recession on Indian economy. US recession has a chain effect as US imports many things from other countries which includes India. Primarily this has impact on export industry in India which includes textile industry, granite processing industry, tobacco exports and so on. It is said that already 5 lakh people have already lost their job in Indian textile industry. This is not the end of the story. Now it has also started showing its direct effects on all other industries as well which include IT and ITES. Proactively many of the companies have started taking proactive steps to protect them self from the gloomy future. Many small companies were closed and ready to close, increasing the unemployed people. This will have lot of impact on peoples spending abilities and the supply chain effect carries forward. But is every one in India are effect? Yes, but many people may not realize it or many not have any direct effects. Especially people living in cities will are more exposed to this and people in towns are less exposed to this situation. This is especially because number of employees working in private firms are susceptible to this situation and people working for govt. and self employed are less (these people will have impact only at later stages). Whats the other side of the coin? Frankly its a overall loss to every one. But this is the right time for govt. to attract good talent to join in govt. organizations. That way govt can increase its efficiency and also help country to face this situation. But govt has to act quickly for filling already vacant positions and creating new jobs. This is just a cut-short version of the impacts and analysis. This can be discussed for years. But not now. Thanks, Krishna

The latest real estate scam that grew behind the expectations with the involvement of high level defense officials, politicians bureaucrats who expend the

plots which are supposed to allot for the martyrs of Kargil war heroes made India to stand on knee in front of the civic society infusing an idea, There is no such thing, which is corrupt free in India. Adarsh Housing Society is located in Mumbai facing Arabian Sea and is one of the most expensive real estate lands in the world, which has 103 apartments. In construction of this building several land rules and violation of environmental laws has also been detected. But, the genuine buyers of adarsh flats were now feared after the adarsh scam broke because of cancellation of occupancy certificates that government has announced which comes as a real blow and disturbance to the peaceful souls rested in this land who sacrificed their lives for the well being of motherland. Alleged involvement of 11 Navy and 23 army officers shocked the public, raising a question, whether the defense personnel are also masked themselves as land grabbers? Army chief V.K.Singh ordered for an enquiry in this regard and the news came as a shock for many people by damaging the image of defense in the public. The political shattering already took place by the resignation of Ashok Chavan as Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Also, there arisen a situation to make a totally unrelated person like Colonel R.K.Singh as a scapegoat in this scam, who is a genuine Kargil hero. The list of reasons for the fall out of Adarsh housing scam is: Illegal occupants Breaching of land rules of Maharashtra state Violation of environmental laws Involvement of Politicians, Bureaucrats, Defense Personnel Media hype Real estate scandal

After the tumbling of UPA government, the confidence of people is weakened to believe any politician, bureaucrats, and defense personnel and is ready to believe there is a scope to happen any type and extent of corruption in India.

CWG scam

Posted by Admin on Saturday, May 21st 2011 The Nineteenth Common Wealth Games held in October,2010 in India had a glorious impact on its celebrations path; but the financial irregularities that occurred which were later unearthed and recognised of having criminal conspiracy, corruption and other frauds which affected the government as well making India to down its head before the world. First charge was lodged by CBI against the Organising Committee Chairman Mr. Suresh Kalmadi, for having alleged connection of showing exorbitant contractual rate for the gaining of Swiss based company and is scanned for being corrupted. The values and objectives of CWG are flushed away in the deep rooted money minded canal of Suresh Kalmadi. Hailed for the success of 19th common wealth games, Suresh Kalmadi should also made accountable for his duality of showing responsibility to conduct games and on other side received bribes. He project India as a super power in corruption, Delhi as global destination for frauds, and had built state-of-art infrastructure for the facilitation of corruption. Mr.Kalmadi succeeded in creating suitable environment and opportunities for easy involvement of bureaucrats in fraud, criminal conspiracy, and corruption. The integrity in receiving bribes, the solidarity shown in supporting his aides from corruption allegations, diversity shown in cheating the government should definitely be hailed; but for its illegal mark, it wont deserve the honour. On April 25, 2011 finally Kalmadi was arrested with charges of cheating and criminal conspiracy by CBI for his Time Scoring Equipment scam. On May 04th he was sentenced to custody for the next 14days to spend in Tihar Jail. Other charges on the companies remain manipulations in tender to get the contracts showing fake and forged documents as genuine. Aggravated public at Patiala house court with triggered anger has thrown a slipper showing his dissatisfaction with the ever growing corrupted politicians. Not the financial irregularities but each and every action has been slammed by opposition party for having explicit violation of all rules by the organizing committee Chairman and his aides for pulling the public money and filling into their big pockets. These are few financially inflated figures that give an overview of corruption in 19th Common Wealth Games in Delhi: Cost of 100litre fridge-Rs.42, 202 which originally cost around 14 to 15 thousand rupees. Single Two tons A.C-Rs.1, 87,957 which originally cost around 22 to 40 thousand rupees. Cost of one Tissue paper roll-Rs.4138 which originally cost around 30 to 40 rupees. Electricity was bought at Rs.80/unit against to original cost Rs.10/unit.

First when India bagged to organize XIX common wealth games, estimation of Rs.655 crores to host the games was expected, which in later stage inflated to Rs.30, 000 crores. The objective of Suresh Kalmadi to make India defame and making XIX common wealth games as most ever corrupted games was really a huge success!

2G Spectrum Scam
Posted by Admin on Saturday, May 21st 2011 2G Spectrum Scam has shocked the country, by the loss it incurred to exchequer and the fraudulent deeds with which it proceeded in licensing the amateur companies who even didnt had prior operational experience in handling Telecommunications. Moreover, it posed a question of both Tamilnadu and Indian politicians, which lost its faith in making the people believe these politicians as the catalysers of countrys growth. The depth of scandal however may take time, it is expected that it had crushed the governments confidence along with a loss of 1.76 lakh crore rupees. The ways in which it had changed the game of Department of Telecommunication (DoT) are many, such as: Breach of policy in issuing Licenses Cutoff date is extended as first come first serve policy which is against to policy and the change in method of bidding is a serious breaching of policies framed by DoT to acquire 2G licenses. The recommendations done Prime Minister, Law Ministry, and TRAI were ignored and licenses were issued in an arbitrary manner. Fee collected against the licensing was followed the2001 prices rather than 2003 prices which show the Nepotism offered by A.Raja for the bribe he received for the ineligible companies. Cutoff date for paying is advanced by one week. Licenses were issued on first-come-first-serve-policy, rather than following the policy of transparent bidding and auction processes. Forgery Documents were forged by A.Raja to issue license which is a case of criminal conspiracy and corruption. The recommendations of TRAI to fix the fee at the present market rate have gone in vain and were totally ignored by Telecom Minister A.Raja. Raja also deleted the para and added new line while releasing a press note made by Attorney General; this letter was signed off by then Solicitor General G E Vahanvati, which eased the amendment for forwarding the applications dates by a week. In the final press release on this amendment, A.Raja has mentioned in his own hand writing, Press release approved as amended, regarding which Vahanvati was completely unaware and made the forgery explicit by then former Telecom Minister. Bribery

Telecom giants Reliance and Swan telecom bribed the bureaucrats for getting license. Being the biggest beneficiary in 2G spectrum scandal, Unitech is charged with bribery, criminal conspiracy and their chiefs were summoned. Ineligible companies were offered licenses 85 companies were given license which didnt disclosed the information required for licensing method, also didnt meet the eligibility requirement for applying to 2G license. A.Raja, former Telecom Minister justified the allocation of licenses to these companies. Unitech, Swan telecoms were given licenses without any prior experience and adding to the complexity, Swan telecom even didnt meet basic eligibility to get license. Fraud The license that new telecoms like Swan got without any experience has sold their stake to Etisalat for more profits. Unitech wireless also went with same fraudulence of selling their stake and making big profit. Almost 9 companies paid least amount of fee against 2G spectrum licenses. Thirty one companies are summoned in the regard of overall conspiracy. The 2G Spectrum scandal seems to hit both DMK in Tamilnadu and INC at centre dragging their faith in the public to an underfoot level. Apart from this DMK Karunanidhis daughter owned channel Kalaignar TV has also enlisted in the companies list which had connection with the bribed money flushing into this channel. DMK Rajya Sabha member, Kanimozhi, daughter of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi was sentenced and sent to Tihar Jail along with Kalignar network Managing Director, Sharad Kumar. A.Raja has definitely made his party and Indian politics embarrassing. These types of politicians and bureaucrats should be severely punished without giving an opportunity to plea for bail. How can a minister get into such a dirty scam while he has been obligated to function with high sincerity and confidence to serve people? Tamilnadu elections made clear the anger against DMK and congress party, crowning Jayalalitha as new Chief Minister in the elections held in May 2011. Before ending the total occupancy of conspiracy and corruption altitude in the 2G Spectrum allocation, now government has released 3G. We have to wait for another couple of years and see whether is there any more shocks from 3G allocation!

Developing countries need trade; not aid.

Posted by Admin on Friday, May 20th 2011 Developing countries are called as third world countries which have gained momentum through their privatisation and globalisation process due to economic reforms and extinction in the trade barriers overseas in recent times. The need of the hour, for these countries seems to be trade; but not aid. Aiding these countries will benefit in terms of providing: Loans-to combat the scarcity of financial resources. Rebates-to attract the business from these countries offering rebate. Trade Discounts-helps in mobilizing resources cheaply. Loan waive-to decreases the interest rate burden. Technology-to improve quality. Skills-to impart superior production methods. Market scope-to increase the availability of products.

The above methods will aid directly or indirectly, the developing countries to attain the production at a reasonable price with good quality. But, the question here is to provide them the trade opportunities. To increase trade from developing trades, the need of hour for encourage is:

WTO Support: World Trade Organisation must support by curtailing the tariff rates on the exports done by developing countries, which will fetch a fair return on the investment to produce the products. And should not impose the subsidy restrictions on agriculture which harms the agrarian economies by causing acute grain shortage making the developing countries vulnerable to starve for food grains.

Trade Disputes: Disputes at international trade must be adjusted in favour of developing countries, as these countries lag behind in terms of production facilities, resources.

Strengthening of global trade: Through agreements and upgraded understanding, global trade must be strengthened by freely giving market access for its overseas sales.

Restriction on Dumping and Licensing: Dumping must be eradicated without violating the developing countries policies in importing the foreign goods. Licensing for business should be made ease for operational feasibility.

World Bank: World Bank should regulate its loan schemes to favour the trading of developing countries.

While the Liberalisation, Privatisation, Globalisation has opened gates for global economic revenue creation to the developing countries, the interest in its favour is still in stake, causing much burden by posing restrictions on local ruling, through big trading organizations like World Bank, IMF, WTO. All these organizations together with the developed countries must ensure free and easy trading opportunities which make them grow economically.

Privatisation will lead to less corruption

Posted by Admin on Friday, May 20th 2011 Arguments towards the topic Privatization of business means transfer of ownership to private parties rather than public. Privatisation makes any business to keep the people in discipline by making every person sharing their hand in responsibility and accountability. Thus, the corruption that exists in a prolific pattern in public sector is not seen in private sector, due to the fear of losing ones job. As the private organizations makes individualistic pattern more powerful rather than collective decision and decision making is done in a fast pace, any negligence towards the work will attract penalty or punishment. This type of working culture encourages good work culture by avoiding corruption. Privatized organizations collectively work to make profits and any type of in-disciplinary action will be punished. The accountability further creates an opportunity to increase an individuals working knowledge and skills. Few factors which curbs corruption through privatization are: Performance orientation-increases knowledge and skills of the employee. Marketability scope-increases production by providing more functions. Least Political Influence-helps in free decision making. Accountability-makes responsible. High salaries-controls easy money making attitude. Increased job satisfaction-controls corruption and increases productivity.

Arguments against the topic

Privatisation dents the constitutional values of our country, as it doesnt want to make private solely responsible for management and maintenance of organizations. Due to privatisation, concentrate of wealth in few business people takes place and the public will suffer with accountability deficit on human norms. The factors which lead to dissatisfaction for privatisation are: Monopoly-results in dominance of businessmen. Liberty-which causes unaccountability. Risk-decisions taken may tumble the business. Insecurity among employees-due to no permanency of employees continuance. Dissatisfaction-due to low number of welfare facilities Rise in corruption-above all factors aggravate the corruption.

Both the public and private sectors have the risk of rising corruption. The view that, privatisation will lead to less corruption should not be taken for granted. However, the policies framed by our rulers and the procedures with which these social evil is tackled is the main concern with which corruption can be wiped out of the society.

Globalizations vs Nationalism
Posted by Admin on Friday, May 20th 2011 Flourishing of any business depends upon its wide spread; in business terms which is called expansion of trading zones. Any country suffers with either to restrict their business to the country or to expand market overseas, which raises curtain of which concept to support, Globalisation vs Nationalism. Is the business of business only business?

Posted by Admin on Friday, May 20th 2011 The main objective of any business is survival, which means continuing its business, which is possible through earning profits which makes a business flourish through proper marketing and production

strategies. But the resources for production or services come from the society, for which there will be an obligation to pay back to the resources that society gave to the business. Which is generally called social responsibility. No one element; either profits or only social responsibility makes a business survive for a long run. Arguments towards the topic Business of business is only business, because without making profits or expected returns on the investment, no organization supports its life in the challenging business environment. The profit orientation makes more people to establish organizations which drives the economy by providing ample employment opportunities, income earnings and also creates business, marketing opportunities to the business people dependent on the product sales. With the economy which comes through profits of running an organization, all sectors will receive a part in earning income through the circle of income. Business should be run for the purpose of business only, as it has positive outcomes like: Creates more employment opportunities Boost the economy Helps in establishing more organizations Creates market for the product Increases sales Helps in organizational expansion

Arguments against the topic Purpose of any business is not solely doing business. It has legal compliances and moral obligations to fulfill. If profits only looked for, then there exists an unequal distribution of income. Concentration of income in few hands leads to market influence lead by these people. Which affects the market and sales that makes the rates to tumble and leads to black marketing of the products? Any business has a moral obligation of maintaining ecological balance and should contribute to the growth of society by fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), through which it gets its resources like material, technical, human, financial resources. So paying to society will improve the band image which positively promotes the products of that company. Government also encourages by slashing the corporate tax for fulfilling such social responsibilities. Following ethics in production, providing employment opportunities, imparting the employees with safety and security measures forms the primary duty of any company which contributes to the belongingness of the employee to the organization with which they work.

He possessed wide range of qualities and is: A Physician Guerilla leader Diplomat Author An athlete Swimmer Cyclist Communicator Ideologist Motivator Dreamer Visionary person

Many more add to his credit and deserve it for being a big mark of ever ending fame earned from his untiring efforts, intelligence which he shared and fared in guerilla movements. Being a medical student to study the lives of the people, he travelled Latin America on motorcycle where he witnessed the poverty, diseases, and extrinsic living conditions of the people, which were affected by capitalism, feudalism, imperialism, neocolonialism which triggered the rebellion enthusiasm to gift indemnification in the lives of the alienated people. Some of the rebellion excerptions from the great ideologist Ches life includes:

26th of July movement: In 1959 on 26th July, he joined with Fidel Castro and Raul Castro in the movement to overthrow the Batista government in Cuba, which later lead to Cuban revolution and finally captured the power; Fidel Castros government offered a handful of key roles in the newly formed government. He served as minister of Industries, instructional director of army forces, diplomat on behalf of Cuban socialism. Also helped in agrarian reforms and served as national banks president. Che in Congo-Kinshasa: In 1965 Guevara left Cuba and went to Congo-Kinshasa, where the social injustice prevailed to an unbearable level. To free the people from the slavery, bondage and from rapes and sexual exploitation which are considered as most worst of afflicting the African people, he fought with full dynamism. To fight against the all westernised dominant factors that abolished the liberalized life by imposing social, economical injustice through violation of human rights made Che Guevara aggravated and spread his Marxist revolutionary sounds to be heard all over the world and inspired millions of people across for whom he stands as a legendary symbol who paved path for achieving freedom of human life. To write about Ches deeds, it takes more than thousand years to write and million of papers to write on his history. He revolutionized the world in such a way that no other person in the world never acquires the symbol of rebellion enthusiasm who always starved to fight basic human needs of being out of poverty, inequality, freedom. Che is a world heritage symbol of youth. There is no such country or educational system in which at least one person we cannot find with the inspiration installed by Guevara. He is unofficial brand ambassador for most of the products like ice cream, key chains, T-shirts, books and an exhaustive list where there would be no product without Ches all time best photo in his rebellion suite. The communication style, motivational path, ideology and all other aspects which a leader must possess are perfectly balanced by Che and has been the King of Youth in many walks of life. Che quotes that, Man truly achieves his full human condition when he produces without being compelled by the physical necessity of selling himself as a commodity. The unleashing, ever growing power which Che has got from his childhood made him shine in many variants of life. He was a person of hunger to face the world challenges and eliminate the inequality and other poisonous culture sprinted out by US. The social relationships, clear path in defining and acting upon his goals, inspiring the same motivation that exists within him in co rebellions, the path he chosen to serve the alienated people to meet the basic requirements of human conditions by gifting them with freedom from the clutches of all social evils of capitalism, forms the underline objective of Che Guevaras inspirational ideology.

Decreasing defense expenditure and increasing social expenditure is the need of the hour
Posted by Admin on Thursday, May 19th 2011 Budget is the financial statement through which it disburses the expenditure against each sector for its financial strengthening and planning. However; two components which always have a rival is war or welfare. Some people quote allocation to defense keeps a country free from rivals thus ensuring long term growth in strong position through avoiding security issues. Arguments towards the topic With ever increasing concerns over internal problems in the country, decreasing defense expenditure and increasing social expenditure is the need of the hour. That is correctly told, because future of any country is largely dependent on the social expenditure which raises the return on the investment over time, whereas, defense expenditure is mere wastage which neither generates revenue, nor creates direct results. So spending on public welfare has many positive results, those are: Education: Spending on education makes the country to equip with adequate human capital that runs economy by strengthening skills and knowledge imparted from the education sector. Literacy rate enhances the confidence motive and promotes India in the world and makes respected. Eradication of illiteracy annihilates anti-social elements from the society. Health care: Allocation of more funds to health care sector makes a healthier society which reduces the burden on budget due to improper care towards it. Food Subsidy: Subsidised food through strong network of Public Distribution System (PDS), helps in combating the poverty by helping the people below poverty line enhancing the working capacity in them. Agriculture subsidies and loans: By proper subsidies on agriculture and processing loans make the farming sector a potent factor of increasing growth. Marketing facilities and technological training, agricultural inputs and providing warehousing facilities increases farming ability. Youth Employment: Processing loans to encourage self-employment and promoting employment opportunities through increased technical training satisfies the youth and directs them to their goal.

Many other social advantage schemes can be introduced to acquaint the support of public and making the social expenditure more revenue spinning tool which will create boom unlike the defense budget. Arguments against the topic Every countrys primary duty is to survive and then comes the growth. Survival is the sense protecting themselves from external enemies. India has many neighbouring countries for which it has to concentrate on its external security through high tech defensive mechanism and army should be strengthened with missiles, ammunition and create a statute through which neighbours would step back to exaggerate us for a war. Moreover the high technology aircrafts, missiles, sub marines, vessels produced by Indian research organizations and Indian defense will create huge revenues. First allocations has to be increased so that not only external security gets tightened but also helps to curb the internal disturbances and helps in combating the emergency situations like terrorist attacks, floods, operations of rescue and other security related problems. Research orientation of government organizations to establish a rapport with ever growing security needs of the country innovated the ways in which production of heavy aircraft is imported that helped in revenue generation. Strengthening the border security also paves to smooth running of internal activities without any disturbance thus directly contributing to the security and growth of the economy defense budget has to be increased. On the other hand defense expenditure shouldnt be considered as waste expenditure, as it is related to countrys safety and security.

Democracy is hampering India progress

Posted by Admin on Thursday, May 19th 2011 India being the largest populated country exhibits its democratic nature which is acquired through the constitution. But the concept with which it is made democratic is to grow freely in terms of expression and exhibit a free form of growth in all areas. Arguments towards the topic Democracy has given the freedom to express and live ones own way of living. By following democratic ways no organization can earn profits for its social welfare motive. Organizations exhibit growth only if

they run with profit motive. But, the democracy makes the people to restrict the operations of a business to see its meeting the public, democratic issues. On the other hand the politicians are taking advantage with corruption and violating rules. As everyone has a say in a democratic country, whose voice is to be heard and followed is a big question of confusion. Illiterate politicians often make mess with democratic views of public. Everyone acts in their own views and express their language which hurts the feelings and sentiments of others which leads to communal disturbance which weighs on the government a burden to provide more internal security. Nepotism is the other outcome of democracy where bureaucrats favor their social circle in providing services against to the procedures and rules. Red-tapism is another evil of democracy where intentional delaying of work is done due to laziness or the unaccountability and irresponsibility with a view of no challengers for their deeds. Arguments against the topic Democracy always served the purpose for which it is meant to be. Being a democratic country greatly favoured the nation to excel in terms of its growth and development. Otherwise, monopolistic influence might dominate the society wiping out the social welfare concept which leads to aggregation of wealth in the hands of few wealthier people. Democracy has brought wings to the freedom of innovation and exploring ideas, thoughts that always favoured all sections of the society. Democracy provided certain basic needs of all individuals like education, food, work and the freedom of speech, to pursue the religion you wish and work and migrate from any location to other in the nation. Liberalization has lead to generation of more income through innovative ways of working which has been possible with few amendments to the constitution which supports to favour the people in the long run. Otherwise, communism or dictatorship forms of government would hamper the growth of social and economical freedom of public. Democracy has served its purpose by showing its free expression of living. Democracy is never a constraint for growth.

How to Deal with High Oil Prices?

Posted by Admin on Monday, May 16th 2011 Rising oil prices was always the concern of middle class throughout the world who drive the economy fast than any other class people. Surge in oil prices faster than the income levels earned by middle class people has made governments tumble. In view of every raising demand in spite its heavy shortage in supply the rise in oil prices gained momentum to support the economic system from being collapsed. Though oil producing countries like U.S, U.K, Russia and Middle East countries are concerned about the increase in supply, due to shortage of resources in countries like U.S and U.K made the world to rely on Middle East countries for its oil supply. As the availability of alternatives for oil is not much in use it posed a threat to raise severe demand for oil which upsurge the rise in oil prices. Now the major question is, How to deal with high oil prices? Answer as defined by several minds comes from a variety of planes. Usage of alternative resources like solar energy, hydrogen energy, electrical energy, geothermal energy, biofuel stands as close-fitting alternative for promising sustainable availability of oil resources curbing the ever rising prices of oil. Production of fuel efficient automobiles also favors a lot on saving grounds of highly costly non-renewable resource like oil and consumption from the common public should also be decreased, so that we ensure sufficient availability of oil for our future generations. Role of OPEC OPEC should regulate the rising oil prices by following methods: Regulation of rationing of quota of oil for various countries. Keeping the oil prices away from speculations of other influencing factors. Should control market volatility.

Establish proper market conditions to meet the demand. Strive for increasing the supply of oil.

Its the collective responsibility of the government and regulatory, production authorities, common public to ensure this precious non-renewable resource availability for future generation at the same time ensuring to meet the present requirements efficiently helps in the sustainable development.

Illegal Mining
Posted by Admin on Saturday, May 14th 2011 India has seen a growing illegal mining procedure for many years due to several reasons. Ore-rich states across the country are operated through mine mafia with the collusion of politicians and bureaucrats. Ways of illegal mining Mining depth Mining companies extract to the deeper in the earth than the permission they get from government which leads to more extraction of ores and poses a threat to environmental depletion, ecological imbalance by causing disturbance for growth of geographical confined plants and animals. Evasion of royalties for government By showing falsified records, indulging in fraudulence while recording the amount of mine ores available as low, the mining companies yield more profits thus posing a deficit for government balance sheet. By the both ways like showing wrong information and mining more than the specified depth causes economical and environmental loss for the state. Road damages Improper regulations for mining conditions pose a threat for the transportation of ores in illegal ways without bearing minimum safety measures which transport in a un-deserved way thus leading to road damages, increasing accidents Environmental damage

Environmental imbalance occurs due to their inactivity at the mining region. Agriculture, growth of plants and animals living in the surroundings migrate posing a threat to imbalance at mining areas. Mining scams in India Bellary in Karnataka has witnessed an illegal mining scandal by Obulapuram mining company, illegal mining of bauxite ore at Niyamgiri hill range in Orissa, and also in states like Goa, Jharkand, Rajasthan, Himachal pradesh registered scams connected with illegal mining which is a major loss for the exchequer of government of India and also registers the corrupted ways of digging out national resources for selfish man means. This shows the level of Illegal mining in India which shows the degraded human values for minerals theft in India.

Inflation in India
Posted by Admin on Thursday, May 12th 2011 Inflation in India An economic challenge Rising concerns over Inflation in India, from both the public and Industrial facet has grown from the past two years. Inflationary pressure made the government stumble, which couldnt keep the food, energy inflation at a bearable level adding scarcity in making available the resources for Industrial Production. Onions recorded a price higher than meat which cues about the agricultural importance that is connected to the monsoon. On one hand government struggled to support the farmers with Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for certain food grains; on other hand it showed poor influence in controlling the basic food prices which sky rocketed to unbelievable level. With this inflation, India has recorded a rise in poverty, while the rise in oil prices make concerns of the fall in GDP, rise in prices of food worries even high income groups, which lead to low spending. Hot money going out of India has a cause to worry for domestic industrial growth that has to fight with the rising interest rates to keep their business on. Trade has been sluggish for the availability of financial resources and pressure to provide employment made the people out cry, demanding for a helping hand from

government. Not much to feel good about Indian companies both in the public and private domain, as few are looking for a bailout and few are struggling with corruption. Governments inefficiency to put the balance on trade and welfare baskets has leaded the RBI role in controlling Inflation as important and instigated to take appropriate credit control measures, and rationing of its industrial credit to the areas, which contributes for major growth in GDP. Economic challenges like strategic planning of policies, taming the inflationary pressures to avoid the future risk, and keeping the momentary rise of prices in India, certainly poses a challenge to the government and RBI. Increase in repo and reverse repo rate and other non-monetary inflationary control methods in the purview of RBI will certainly makes the Indian economy stand firmly in the turbulent economic conditions. With stringent policies and key market adjustment, Inflation in India for 2011 is expected to get low; but the Indian GDP and Inflation connection can outweigh the GDP to see a drastic growth in future. State is the biggest violator of human rights

Posted by Admin on Tuesday, May 24th 2011 People of any country seek protection from harms of the world form their state. But to whom we see for protection when the protectors become the cause of the harm. It is not only painful condition, but also establishes a visual picture before the public. Various incidents that took place in India towards the violation of Human Rights gives the broader view are: Custodial Torture: Police been given the place to protect the people are the first to break the rules and making the lives of public and prisoners vulnerable. On an average there are more than five deaths per day purely caused by police and custodial torture in India. Home Ministers of the state has nothing to do with, except backing the police for their deeds claiming them as suicides. Kashmir: Everlasting and never ending violation of human rights takes place whenever there raises a tendency of communal disturbance in Kashmir. Even today if any protests are lodged, the common public receives the sweet part of Indian polices Lathi. Land alienation: Recently on May 12, 2011, farmers are brutally beaten by police for their democratic way of protest towards their land alienation. Several such incidents in West Bengal and other parts of India took place which stands as a witness to the crippling democratic system in India.

Detention: A 14yr old boy was detained without charge recently in Kashmir and also witnesses with other counterparts of the country. One of the causes for these types of detentions may be communal harassment, or target group harassment.

Clamping down the protests: Protests done to curb the corruption, non-violence or any other social concerned issue will also get its bitter part recognition from the state.

Freedom of expression: Media is banned or detained, social activists are treated to their low by arrested and suppressing their freedom of expression. Censorship of telecasting the live problems which affects the state is also barred.

Dalits: Prejudice towards few communities is still in rise in India and politicians take their advantage for their Vote bank Politics. Discrimination towards these unprivileged communities shows the dominance of upper castes from which the government hails its power.

Sexual Harassment: Nothing is exception for sexual harassments in India. Former Governor of Andhra Pradesh, N.D.Tiwary made the Rajbhavan, a place that the first citizen of the State resides as a room for his personal sexual desires. Some states and political parties have also been seen in the scenario of indulging in sexual harassment.

Social Activists: Recently a social activist Binayak Sen was sent to jail for alleged links with naxalites. This is the way how the state curbs the social activists from keeping them out of whistle blowing against the government.

HIV and AIDS: State failed to show proper means for the HIV and AIDS patients by rejecting their plea for employment either by state or through self-employment.

Brutality against minorities: In India minorities are facing brutality in allegations with their link towards non-social links and in the allegations of exaggerating them for non-violence.

Child Labour: US blacklisted India for engaging child labour in apparel production. This one incident explicits the picture of child labour in India against which only rules are made; but action taken is null and void.

Gender Inequality: Even today in India people dont want child girls, and brutal killings of girl child are rising in an alarming sphere. Girls are not provided basic primary education and are bound to household works and marriage purposes only.

Domestic Violence: With a rise in nuclear families, domestic violence is at its worst momentum affecting the couple and their children (in case), which frightens the children and makes them flew away from home making them socially isolated.

Child marriages: India faces a severe social issue of child marriages, which rather totally wipes out the child rights to make its own decision regarding their personal life and the early marriage is also a serious threat for the psychological development of Individuals.

Honor Killings: India couldnt address serious social issues that hindered and embarrassed the world with our prejudice to our own men through honor killings, which are serious blow for the traditional Indian way of dealing with people. Probably the domination of upper caste and the politicians form the dominant social class are uncovering such cases to not be reveled for the view of civil society.

Corruption: Corruption in the another vicious serpent with never ending desire for earning of easy money through which our democratic politicians are earning easy money by deeply

Amid from all the above said violations, government in its daily functioning is violating the human rights which should otherwise act as a parental head to combat the violators of human rights. Human Rights Commission along with few social activists and NGOs are playing vital role in fulfilling the position that fell vacant in safeguarding the peoples Human Rights by government.

Posted by Admin on Tuesday, May 24th 2011 Wiki leaks is a not-for-profit organization which encourages the public contribution in revealing the news which are of historical, ethical and political importance that keeps the contributor anonymous. It neither blindly reveals the public contribution on sensitive issues nor unnecessarily publicizes the news which ripples in the public domain. With its strong technology to maintain the web security level and safe norms to provide security to the anonymous whistleblowers who reveal the information, Wiki leaks always succeeded in maintaining the balance between these two things. Wiki leaks is inspired by the principles of Universal Declaration of Human Rights for its functioning in a volunteer basis. The basic ideal of Wiki leaks is to make the government ruling transparent and publicize the regime of oppressive nature. Julian Assange is considered as founder and chief-editor of Wiki leaks, who wish his journey towards blow whistling work to uncover the realty running under several governmental operations. Raising the concern

of revealing the unethical governance in governments and corporations Wiki leaks provided enough security without violating its norms towards protecting the anonymous source provider. Wiki leaks dedicated itself to free press and enhancing transparency.

Many governments and the political parties in different countries raised the concern of not being authenticated in providing the social sensitive matters. But the developmental issues like trying to attack and prevent the information flow from Wiki leaks made it clear the intention of several people behind the conspiracy route take by most rotten form of governments, making all the constitutional laws to be disregarded and paved highly undemocratic form of government ruling across the world. With most of the political conspiracies, conversations and decisions that are taken against to the government policies and public are seriously challenged through this global whistle blower. Wiki leaks has dragged the attention of every segment from all societies due to its postings on revealing the global

sensitive information. Developed countries are searching the possibilities of arresting Julian Assange revealing. U.S government is in first of the row to worry much about the ever growing postings on its ruling policies and its dominance over developing countries. The assaults, war crimes, intimidation, political dominance and unethical behaviour have been the subject matters which are given much attention. Much to the shock of public, political systems around the world, Wiki leaks have millions of documents which give access to the most public sensitive information and the inability of our global political system to bear human act has been clearly revealed. Separate Telangana
Posted by Admin on Thursday, May 19th 2011 Arguments towards the topic Being a unit of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana didnt receive much attention from all paths like social, economic development. There is a quick urge to announce separate Telangana state. In 1955, due Telangana merged with Andhra and Hyderabad region to form Vishalandhra. The States Reogranisation Commission proposal to form a unified state was introduced an act in parliament, in 1956 which emerged as Andhra Pradesh. But the resource allocation and the development of the Telangana people and region was seriously disrupted due to political gains from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema region leaders. They played high role through their investments and developed Hyderabad only, ignoring other regions of Telangana, which are seriously affected by numerous social maladies. Though it has a majority of 10 districts, all are hit by acute shortage of literacy, high poverty, farm distress is widely seen. Though it has catch up area of two rivers, the water allocation is used to develop the other two regions in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Telangana movement started as a movement against the ignoring attitude of the politicians and dominance shown in all areas of development made the people in this region to fight for

separate reason through which it can develop the area to its full extent. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is one of the main parties that emerged from the cry out to establish a separate state. In terms of poverty, education level, farming, water resources, mining, agriculture, Telangana remains far beyond the developmental sight. Reasons for agitation to form separate Telangana includes: Poverty Illiteracy Social backwardness Political inequality Improper resource allocation Overall Ignorance on development Breaking the promises done during the state formation

Arguments against the topic Telangana agitation is merely a drama staged by the political parties to raise their voice for power and political gain. Telangana has been given a healthy part in its developmental activities. The geographical area doesnt support much cultivation, is an unfortunate natural curse, so that doesnt mean this region is been seriously neglected. Every measure is take to empower the Telangana region for its all round development. The plans and statutory laws in support for the development of Telangana will sure make this region flourish in future.

Anna Hazares fight against corruption

Posted by Admin on Wednesday, May 18th 2011 Anna Hazare, the name itself speaks a lot about his plowshare in changing the face of India. Born in a small village, Bhingar in Bombay province, Anna faced bitter hardship during his childhood. From a boy of selling flowers in Dadar of Bombay to a face of anti-corruption in India, his journey is quite inspirational

and motivation for several others to move ahead in his service-oriented and unselfish path. He believed in offering service to human kind which he thought to be the real meaning of human life, which he got to know from Vivekanandas book at the time of most distressed point of his life where he contemplated to commit suicide for witnessing the death of his colleagues in Indian Army. Being a soldier, he served the nation for 15 valuable years after that he took voluntary retirement and took the path of service to the country voluntarily. After his retirement to army service he went to his village, Ralegan Siddhi where he started his revolution in making the drought-hit village as a model village in the country. He took many initiatives to wipe out the social evils from the society starting from his home village, later spreading his voice to all parts of India, calling for the attention to meet the needs of the hour at an immediate urgency. Anti-corruption Movement: Hazare started anti-corruption movement in 1991 called as Peoples Movement against corruption. This movement led to take stringent measures on the officials indulged in corruption leading to transfers and re-shuffling of some important positions of bureaucrats. India vs China
Posted by Admin on Wednesday, May 11th 2011 India and China fight for Super power tag The two countries meet face to face only at The Himalayas, all other things for comparison will make stand these two countries individually, at their own socio-economic-political-cultural areas. To know who is super power, India or China or two know each areas of strength and weakness, lets get into the points of concern for both to become super power. Population China can be called The Big tree of a forest, where plenty of things happen by nourishing other small plants and giving space for generation of more fruitful plants; that is its population. The one child per family policy is about to savor negative implications by large in future, through having more male births to continue their family and to maintain income levels, which leads to less female births, which doesnt strike a balance between male to female sex ratio, and depicts the clear picture of future possibility to find a girl to sustain its offspring. Another major problem stands at the feet of China is, an unusual increase in the old age population which poses problem to maintain.

India being the next tree adjacent to the China in the forest of this world doesnt have such limit of family members, which contributes more population and makes India the most populated country in the world in a decade span. Of this population, most of the people are below the age of 25 which adds new, promising, young talent to steer the Indian economy smoothly and also maintains female ratio which doesnt leads to gender imbalance thus assuring working population balance to its best. Predicted to overtake Chinas population in a decade, India has oceanic human capital which promises un parallel economy in the world. Education System Education being the cornerstone for any economy, China laid much emphasis and achieved an Adult literacy rate of 94% as provided in World Bank preliminary census for the year 2011. For adult girls it remains at 99% striking a mastered balance in creating requisite opportunities for equal education and employment. Though primary education is much accentuated; secondary education didnt got much attention especially in rural areas which poses a threat to future skill pool of the country. The major con for China in this area is its inability to produce large number of English speakers per capita. India has an adult literacy rate of 74% and after taking efforts to increase the level of education for women between the age of 15 to 24, it has registered 80% literacy. Several NGOs, corporate companies and women concerned societies are taking many initiatives for improving the literacy rate. Though urban areas strike a balance in the ratio of education for male to female; rural counterparts couldnt fare well because of its infrastructural and social problems. One point that India has advantage over china is in the production more number of English speakers per capita with growing literacy rate. Industry China caters for its domestic market with mass production concept in producing the items such as toys, electronic devices, mobiles, T-shirts. Obviously, fast consuming goods are given priority for production which wants a mere copying or imitation in work design rather than innovation. Apart from this China faces challenge to cater for heavy industry for which expertise and skills are needed and ability to serve global clients is the one area at which they dawdle. Recent initiative to kick start in automotive sector has left better chops for china without tasting much success. India focuses on Industrial area to gear up its economy. The high technology steel produced through high spirit in India, has no comparable competitors across the world. Apart from intensified industrial production, IT sector is reigned by vibrant skilled youth with wide range of attributes to contribute. Asunder from the above mentioned areas, it is experiencing advancement in the areas of engineering and services market and is having a consolidated automobile market in terms of production, engineering services, spares and marketing capability. Poverty

China has an un parallel history in reducing the poverty through equal distribution of resources, but due the long line it couldnt be properly rationed which again struggling in the poverty pond that has been posing many non-social evils giving birth to rebellions and undesired effects like prostitution, drug mafia thus leading to HIV AIDS. Of course, there exists a difference between feeding a crow and a lion; but China government was never hopeless to feed the ever growing elephant called Poverty in their country. Indias deeply disturbing social issue which has been deep rooted and chronic in its nature is persistent in its annual record showing no growth or probably negligible. Illiteracy, inaccessibility to safe drinking water, medical facilities and under nourishment is the roots of this ever growing, undesirable, social element. More children per family, crop failure, loss of assets are some points that can be characterized for the rising of poverty in an alarming way; but not given much importance by Indian politicians who spend always their whole time for making the lives of common people much better! Oops! Right or wrong, we have nothing to do, but to follow the flow, because India is a democratic country. Corruption China has shown a remarkable score in corruption which has been deep rooted in government offices and ministries as the adage says failing is not a problem but refusing to stand again shows the difference, China did remarkably well in the crackdown of corruption, by punishing its Supreme Court former vicepresident, Huang Songyou for life time jail with connection to his fraud and bribery offences. Thats what called accountability and the action fills trust to curb corruption in China. India fares worst compared do China, by being more corrupted than China giving a strong competition for which even it doesnt have any people representative to take accountability to clean the trash left by most familiar corrupted officials and ministers. Neither former Telecom minster A. Raja has been awarded any punishment nor the officials and ministers involved with Common Wealth Games fraudulence and Adarsh Society scandal has been brought totally the under the control of law. The system being totally vicious, will take long time to get itself out from the ever growing poisonous pangs of the most favourite word of our nethas called as Corruption. Otherwise it continues to dwell along with other evils that exist in the country. Economy China mostly depends on Foreign Investments and also gets debts from US for mobilizing the required resources for its production and growth and has modernized its army by seizing civilian lands which has nothing to do with stumbling financial markets. China accelerates its growth by its export driven economy that places good at Balance of Payments, foreign exchange reserve s. India is developing home grown companies to cater to its own and overseas needs and is attracting foreign investment which is offering 20% returns on investment opportunity that is the reason for Japans 5 billion dollar investment in industrial corridor in India. Also the takeover tool of Indian companies like

TATA, Reliance is zooming growth rate with a handful promise of contribution fostered by government owned companies like ONGC, IOC. Other Areas China has got good infrastructure and a breakthrough for making The fastest train which runs at 430km/hr owns by china strengthens the transportation connectivity and infrastructure is provided ample importance by building vast roads with single way allowance for commutation thus offering more feasibility for trade relations in the country. On the other hand it is employing knowledge people, but some constraints like, non English speaking people has been recently brought into light, for which China government took initiative to train their human capital with enough English to deal with International Business. India still being called as a developing country has drastically improved in providing urban infrastructure while the rural community has been neglected showing the cause in terms of economic development through industrial area. Industrial corridors and other innovative action is driving both growth and employment making it a power hub in the future with an abundant human capital both qualitatively and quantitatively

Both boys and girls are equally responsible for this act. Let us legalise gambling

Posted by Admin on Tuesday, May 24th 2011 Gambling is an entertainment source aimed to make more profits with its uncertainty of risk playing the major role. This is one of the worlds largest illegal commercial activities which has many forms and is wide spread in many fields. Gambling is widespread from local to international level in the form of cockfighting to casino. It is one of the social issues which require immediate attention of legalizing it to avoid the internal conflicts arising through illegal gambling and the subsequent steps that police take to curb this gambling and the associated criminal activities like mafia and money laundering activities. If gambling is leaglised, then state will get more taxable funds which can be used for the purpose of social welfare activities like education, employment, infrastructure etc. With this there wouldnt be any police case which makes the security personnel to take action on public security rather than patrolling for gamblers. Gambling is a major source of pleasure and money. Gambling is merely a game in which only two factors plays vital role and is betted upon:

Factor 1: Gambling is done based on the skills that a person or group possess. Example: betting on soccer, cricket, racing or any other event which depends upon the skills of the performers. Factor 2: Gambling is done based on the chance to win like lottery, poker and other games where chance plays role in determining the success.

The regulation of gambling is seen at its worst part for not having a controllable point of illegal ways in which these gambling runs. Adding fuel to the fire, online gambling was introduced which created easy way for gamblers. To curb all these issues nearly 70 countries throughout the world has legalised gambling and few countries legalised only online gambling. But many countries still have no legalised way for gambling.

Uses of legalizing gambling:

It controls illegal gambling and related crimes. Provides low cost entertainment. Socially engages the people.

Increases the risk taking nature in Individuals. Provides safe environment for gambling. Reduces the governments efforts to go behind the gamblers. It provides thrill by breaking daily routine to the players. Increase the winning spirit and makes aware of the cons for losers. Increase in tax funds. Controls the gambling addiction as the games are highly taxed.

Apart from the social benefits and risks involved, gambling should be legalised and make use of the collect taxes for social causes and states welfare. Legalizing may lead a way to raise the curtain for the question who should be the regulator? Either government or privatisation of gambling is best, should be the decision that should be made in the future course.

Globalisation

Globalisation of an economy leads to increased marketing opportunities, high market margins, expansion of business, global play in the business, earning foreign exchange. Through globalisation, the surplus production in agricultural and industrial produce can earn foreign exchange which helps in combating the foreign exchange deficiency that is used to solve the foreign debts by paying Balance of Payments. Globalisation leads to importing of global technology which equips Indian companies with high-end technology and increases the production and the process through which a business is run. Expatriates selection leads to usage of available resources through optimum which may cost more if developed domestically. Qualitative product is the outcome of globalisation due to competing nature with many countries produces which installs news ways of production that plans for optimum usage of resources. Due to increased cooperation in trade circle around the globe, the scare resource useful for production can be imported. Due to good returns fostered by high growth of GDP, foreign investment is flowing into India which is useful to explore new business opportunities, curtail in the visa restrictions for the workers will infuse expatriates to work by adding cross cultural diversity, flexibility to change, and also avoids business barriers through multiple trade agreements with different countries. Trans National Companies are heavily profited which allows the employment opportunities and income earning capability through plenty of employment opportunities. Nationalism Swadeshi movement by inspired by Father of our nation during our struggle for freedom is still in use in few areas to develop and maintain growth from domestic ways of earning money. By following strong nationalism, one can develop its country to unlimited capacity. As India is a hugely populated country it gives an opportunity of creation of big markets. Those markets are enough to introduce variety of products manufactured through domestic innovation methods. It also increases local employment and business opportunities which paves path to earn more income. Agriculture sector gets more attention, as our country largely a agrarian country and depends for its food and growth needs heavily on agriculture sector. By nationalism one can attain both growth and ability to withstand the external turbulences caused by international markets in influencing Indian economic system. The money earned here will be spent in this country which forms good economic system that builds a strong national integrity and achieves high trade through co operational activities. Thus nationalism favours both growth and people in India.

Organizations exhibit growth only if they run with profit motive.

Men resent Women power at work place

Posted by Admin on Tuesday, May 17th 2011 Work place demands a smart way of working things. Either of the gender can work without any limitations by constraint, subjected to the skills and knowledge acquired about the work. Inequalities that exist pertain to the perceptional differences and the organizational work culture. The prejudices that exist among the men towards women raises the question of her ability to perform the task which is sounded in her showing the authority or usage of the power allotted to her. Arguments towards the topic Men from beginning have shown his displeasure towards the power of women at work place. They feel it as dishonour to work under a woman and try to intimidate women to withdraw from a powerful position. Men question the ability of a woman to produce desired results by executing the powers given to her. She is regarded as the weaker sex and has been seen from a much prejudiced way. The domination shown by the men has hindered the capacity of women to execute her task freely. They are blamed for not being good managers due to their physical and mental weakness over men which is not a proved allegation. Psychologically women are much efficient than men, running a house is no small task than handling a Multinational company. Task handling, decision making and working capacity is always doubted by men by posing challenges using a mean language and resisting to work under. Glass Ceiling is a corporate trick that is played on women to hinder their growth in responsibility and power, which shows adverse effect on organizational politics played on women. Men resent women power at work place is proved to be right statement. Many MNCs are now ruled by the power and decision making of women, who are running in huge profits and are branded as most well managed organizations. Arguments against the topic This is the modern age and women are given equal opportunities to avail. But, it is there mental constraint which made them to think that they cant handle an organisation or position with higher responsibilities showing there weakness of management. Gender inequality at work place is considered as unethical and many employers are providing equal opportunities for growth which is hindered by women themselves by not handling the pressure from work. Though they have the capability to manage organizations, their mental fixation of believing themselves not performing well in such arts is considered as the hindrance factor for their growth in the society. The traditional system in India has also restricted the mental

development for not acting with enthusiasm in our society which stands as another cause for their under development. Though both men and women act as counters for their actions in hindering the womens growth at work place, women can excel at work with the extraordinary managing skills and equal opportunities available for them to work.

Joint family is a blessing in disguise

Posted by Admin on Tuesday, May 17th 2011 Indian joint family system is the recognition part of culture and tradition and has acclaimed for its feature of being united despite of internal problems that arise in every family. Nuclear family concept is a new trend that is showing adverse effect on the countrys diminishing values towards joint family and also hyping the psychological disorders that arise due to depression and loneliness. Arguments towards the topic Joint family is certainly a blessing in disguise which really conceals the real characters of the individuals and their behaviour. Members of a family live by holding internal grudges and having a dis-satisfied mindset. The personal urges cannot be met with the joint family system, which is an interruption for personal freedom and restricts the way of living ones own life. The changing shift pattern in individuals led to have their own choices in making their life from the way of being to the way of living. The problems starts with egos and inability to withstand to discuss every problem that arises personally with elders makes a negative effect that is often considered a blow for personal egos. Trends towards western culture encourage nuclear families while the traditional boundaries that support joint family system makes it melt. Todays generation wants to take the joy of being free and acting individually in every deed they do. Every family wants its own financial backing, but in joint family the head of the family leads the family in decision making and financial concerns which again raises the question of equality among the women and younger members in a family. So it is a traditional flowering bearing the egoistic nature of thorns in its stem. Arguments against the topic

Joint family system is not a disguise because it is our tradition to be part of a family and make our own arrangements for personal growth. This system invokes the team building spirit and has several features which support an individuals satisfaction with simultaneous contribution for the well being of family. With an increase in nuclear family system, individuals are suffering with personal disorders like loneliness, inability to share their problems, which cannot be found in joint family system where everything is shared with joy and sorrow with family members and draws possible conclusions if its a problem. It supports the moral values of withholding within a family by instigating a feeling of belongingness. Rat of divorce and splitting from wedlocks is not seen in joint family system. The greatness lies in its ability to withstand in its supporting system through psychological, financial, moral parameters. Being in a joint family also decreases the expenditure of a family by utilizing the proper sharing for every member of the family. And the reflection of tradition always affects positively to live happier and healthier lives.

What shall we do about our Ever-Increasing Population?

Posted by Admin on Tuesday, May 17th 2011 Though population is a major asset for developing economies it poses severe implications in the long run as the resources are deployed at larger levels than expected, which has given less scope for the viability of long term economic development. Adding fire to the fuel, the corrupted political system along with the rising crimes makes the future vulnerable. So, every country has to take oath to restrict its population explosion which helps in smartly utilizing the available resources. Population levies heavy burden on government to meet all its requirements like providing the food which in turn is dependent on agricultural production. Over past few decades, world population has shown a greater explosion, which made the countries hard to reach the ever increasing demand in providing basic amenities like social welfare, security, health care and other emergency services. Growth of population is one of the major social concerns for development. Population in India is at its high which is expected to cross the Chinas population in a decade. Some factors which if implemented can control the ever-increasing population are:

One child Policy This policy has been adapted by China and has shown much result, it has to be applied to all other countries which are expected to deliver high population explosion. It has controlled over more than 400million births thus adding its contribution in controlling to the population and environmental concerns. Family planning and Education Many nations across the world have to implement family planning through proper channel which reduces the overpopulation scenario. It also confers the healthy way of controlling population in a legal way. With an increase in literacy rate, the birth control measures will be surely apprehended by the people and leads to control over population. Otherwise with a view to have more children for earning more income will takes its place and roots to more population. Poverty Poverty is also one the major cause of population growth. The financial view of having more earners in a family dominates the idea of producing more children. Beliefs Personal and religion beliefs suggests that children are gift given by god and shouldnt be stopped by manmade procedures. This belief worries the governments for having no control on their social ideas which contribute to more population.

Commercialization of Health Care: Good or Bad?

Posted by Admin on Monday, May 16th 2011 Health care is the primal and major responsibility of every government. Responsiveness of governments towards providing basic, genera health care facilities leads to public satisfaction; which if ignored can root the ways for medical emergency. As every coin has heads and tails, commercialization of health care does also have both prospects. Arguments towards commercialisation of Health care

Commercialsation means stepping towards growth by using proper economic tools like making private partners to play fairly without any restrictions in the business. It offers wide range of medical care and facilities and attends every case with an immense urge to survive the patient. Imported technology to assess the patients total health condition, proper usage of technology in surgeries and deliver high quality health care facility makes the country healthy. Commercialisation largely means privatization which caters with best quality in health care motive. Health is not more than the money we spend for incurring expenses to meet the health services, as it was correctly told that, health is wealth. Better services, quality maintenance, high standards in services are the positive sides which supports commercialization. And, if it plays unfairly in its charge for services, government involves for proper control and standardization of rates. Arguments against commercialisation of Health care Commercialization of health care is not at all acceptable as it leads to money laundering through doctors and makes the wealth concentrated in the hands of the branded health care service providers. It hones the skills to tap the unlimited opportunities it gets by providing health care for higher rates thus making these institutions the money foxes. Privatization can lead to dominate the health care sector by showing its monopoly nature and makes the service of health care availability for poorer a mirage. It squeezes the money for their wealth hunger from the poor. Though quality is a positive side of commercialization of health care; it doesnt mean it will always deliver the right service for the innocent people. It may further lead to black marketing of blood, organs and other medically valuable parts from the patients who cannot raise their voice if anything happens against them. Medical scams are a possibility if the health care commercialization takes place, leaving no space for poorer to avail the opportunity of getting best health care services. Commercialisation of health care with proper involvement of government in fixing the costs and administering the facilities, services offered with periodic monitoring can be a neutral conclusion that can be achieved on commercialization of health care.

Sex and Violence in Films

Posted by Admin on Monday, May 16th 2011 Indian films have the history of being one of the oldest film industries across the world. Its rich heritage, culture and tradition were shown in the films which pulled the mass to theatres. Having many proportions blending in its making films always stood in the first row to attract the audience and the message or the storyline was every remembered as the visual and audio affects occupies much space in viewers memory. But sex and violence in films of especially from India is a recent scenario developed by following the westernized form of film making and to meet the global requirements for market the movies overseas, sex and violence is used as special ingredients to attract the viewership count. Change in culture and special interest towards martial arts and other master defensive arts increased the violence in Indian movies. The speed and new tricks shown from prolific fighting mechanisms spread all over the world paved path for the inclusion of violence; on the other hand sex has been used as a tool to attract all the generations, which are driven by unreasoned passion, foolish and extravagant feeling called infatuation. This is considered as love and is encouraging the obscene on silver screen that came as a high profit yielding plant for the producers and other movie making companies. Dialogues with dual meanings and obscene has become the servitude the traditionally going Indian film industry. Sex in Indian movies has found a strong place that it is not possible to make a movie without any such exaggerated scene to attract especially, the youth. Some groups of the community are fed up with the crime, sex and violence shown in movies. This outrage of Indian movies leads to an emotional shift in the viewers which exhibited the characteristics that are shown in movies. Expectations of youth have often increased for the want of such films which degrade Indian tradition. Central Board for Film Certification should take proper measures to curb these un necessary emotions which drags high attention and occupies high retention that may lead to spoofing in real life. Movies related to gangster subject should be given less priority by raising the censorship grading to A grade which is objectionable under the cinematograph act. Raising the standards of high quality, preserving Indian tradition leads to proper functioning of society otherwise, which may cause social disorders like attraction, obsession, mafia, crime, gambling and leads to the life style changes. Scenes which stir up action in public, like communal violence, relations between different countries and in between groups. Thus CBFC and Film Federation of India (FFI) should take the grip and curb the wrongly directed Indian film industry and guide them to give perfect blend of Indian traditional movies which produces a healthy society with healthy entertainment.
