Compared to another Harry Potter movie series, the first series of Harry Potter Movie Series which is titled Harry Potter and The Philosopher s stone, is the movie I like most. This film was released by Warner Bros in London on 14 November 2001. Harry Potter and the Philosopher s stone movie which is also known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer s stone, is adapted from the book which has the same title authored by British author, J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe, is an orphan. He is a bespectacled boy who didn t know he was a wizard. When he was still young, Voldemort attacked and killed his parents and then he tried to kill Harry but at that moment, but he couldn t do that because of his mother s protection. Voldemort's attack left a lightning bolt-shaped scar on Harry's forehead. That s why every wizard knows who is Harry Potter. They all dubbed Harry as The Boy Who Lived. Harry lived with Dursley Family, his cruel aunt s family. After he was 7 years old, he got an invitation to study in Hogwarts because he was a wizard. In Hogwarts, his life finally changed. Hogwarts be the place where he finally found a true family and a true home. He also found best friends, Ronald Weasley who is played by Rupert Grint, and Hermione Grange who is played by Emma Watson. Not only that, but also he found his destiny to become a great wizard who defeat the great dark wizard, Lord Voldemort. Reviewers' comments to this movie were positive, as reflected by a 78% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and by a score of 64% at Metacritic. It seems to me this movie has a good plot so that the reviewers can understand what the problem which is shown in this movie. The strong main characters also make this movie alive with the strong British pronunciation which displays different shades in this movie. Harry Potter and the Philosopher s stone is an extremely exciting movie. It is good not only for children who like a fiction fantasy movie but also for adolescent and adult. Because, there are so much moral value that we can get from this movie and it probably useful for our good life.
