Meeting Held 08.09.11 Full Board Meeting

The regular monthly meeting of the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors was called to order on Tuesday August 9, 2011 at the Northcenter Chamber Office. Present at this meeting was Simon Stein, Joe Burke, Kat Mackenzie, Antoni Guillen, Donna Shultz, Ben Kennedy, Tom Fencl and Shawauna Ward, Laura Engel, Executive Director Garrett FitzGerald and Associate Director Brad Ball. Prior meeting minutes were reviewed and approved with no changes. The Agenda was adopted. The President called the meeting to order at 12:13pm. Treasurer Tom Fencl Audit was approved and we are clean. The Chamber finds itself in a strong financial position.

Finance Committee Simon Stein Ravenswood Event September 22nd o $3500.00 Allocation for the event Shop and Stroll September 15th o $2000 Allocation for the event New Computers for chamber office are approved Resolution to loan funds for formation of Northwest Community Development Company o Upside Garret Fitzgerald 7 Year Contracts to manage any newly formed SSAs. Management Fees to Chamber. Potential Staff Gain o Downside Initial Risk of Set up. Staffing moving forward during initial set up. Risk the new entity splits from Chamber as a separate organization. o Laura Engel Motion to Accept o Donna Schultz Second Motion Voted in Unanimously Rent going up next year. Lease up for Chamber office space in September 2012

Looking into options for extension of lease. Putting buying the space on the table, although just as an option at this point.

Audit Shawauna Ward o Audit complete. Passed in good standing.

By Laws Donna Schultz o o o Looking at potentially changing the fiscal year to match up closer to our revenue generator Ribfest. Potential September 30 year end. Change in bylaws could only occur with an all Chamber vote. Annual meeting was discussed as a potential to hold a vote.

Membership - Joe Burke o Notes Attached o Ravenswood Corridor Events Coffee September 20th at Switchfast. Party in the Corridor September 22nd in Angel Sales Parking Lot.

Real Estate and Beautification Ben Kennedy No Report Community Relations No Report Next Meeting at Sears(Willis) Tower.
