A Cruel Rendezvous

For meum ducle puella Ricardo Sal LaRosa 16 March 2012 Soliloquy

A cruel game those pathetic gods played on us This evening Bringing our paths to cross Formalities were exchanged Tres puellae and one chaperon and I I did not expect this encounter, today Nor ever And our palms did touch, twice ! It was the only communication I could express to you and your Spirit For your inexperience blinds you to the truth of whom we are . . . Diplomatic protocols observed Reading between the lines And then all hell broke loose in the contours of my soul As I saw your face No smiles, no happiness, no love Radiating from your brown eyes for me As the only way I have ever known you My love ! A look of indifference over shadowed your face

This is not the girl with whom I fell fervently in love What have they done to you, my love ! What poisons have they filled your mind What lies have they dealt you to forget me ! This happenstance has left me hurt; has left me wrathful With war on my mind ! A wicked vengeance stirring in my soul May the Council of the Elders exonerate me for the thoughts in me For I desire blood; the blood of those responsible for this wickedness For they caused our separateness They interfered with Loves sacred vows The ones ours Spirits did pledge to one another eons ago They have caused me an unbearable hurt of which I gladly endure For you, my love ! But I shall not forget nor will I forgive nor shall I bow down to those gods who have hurt you, My love ! Their days are numbered Their reward shall befall them They will wish that they had never been born when they see my wrath haunting them every second of the their lives For whomever hurts you hurt me too, My girl ! O sweet Gwendolyn !

After the madness dwindles and reason shines through the hurt in me I realize this was meant to be for our sanities That their cruel games become our Hopes exploding still In our hearts ! For our palms did touch twice Giving messages to our Spirits Our higher selves whom know better than our mortal selves And tonight in my peaceful slumber My spirit awaits your spirit My spirit seeks your spirit Ardently. With all the love that dwells in you for me And in me for you My gentle, my sweet Princess My love ! ! !
