Legislation: The Tourism Authority Act was established to cater for a more efficient regulatory framework in relation to activities within the tourist sector with a view to ensure international standards are complied with and sustain the development of Alchemia as a high quality and safe tourist destination. Types of licences issued: A Tourist Enterprise Licence for establishments and activities run for the purpose of providing services or goods to tourists eg. accommodation, restaurants, car rental agencies A Pleasure Craft Licence for vessels used for fishing as a sport and watersports. Non-motorized vessels eg. kayaks and surfboats are not regarded as pleasure crafts.
