LLP Summer Reading Program 250 Students- Grades K-3 $800 Due to the many education cutbacks, we are currently unable to offer a back to school or summer reading program. With this project money, it is our hope to provide below grade level readers with take home leveled readers over the summer. To ensure that we pull-up our below grade level readers, it is our hope to provide a summer reading program for those students that are below grade level. Our lower socioeconomic students are unable to attend other summer reading programs offered and would benefit tremendously from this program. Of our over 400 student population, almost 250 students are considered below poverty level according to our free and reduced lunch data. At the end of the school year, teachers will recommend students based on need. Students will be grouped by Reading Levels with those that are identified as being below grade level given first priority. On the last day of school, the leveled readers will be handed out to students to take home for the summer. Students will return books when school starts back the following school year.
