Remarks: Enough space for image moving and airing purpose should be left. 2.3.2 Workshop Environment Requirement: Basic conditions for Printer workshop are as following: Location: away from wireless radio sources Temperature : 20--- 25. Floor: clean easily and no dust and static. Humidity: between 45% and 75%. Illumination: Pure white light or daylight. 2.3.3 Workshop power supply requirement: AC: 220v, 50HZ single-phase,1500W max. Alternating current power must have a separate circuit switch. And the circuit should be earthed separate from other equipments. And power should be balanced, invariable, no effect from fluctuating of voltage. In the area that power supply is not steady, UPS power supply with capacitance of 2KV is preferred.

Mechanical Adjustment
Tools: Dial indicator and standard minipad (Thickness=3mm). Operation Procedure: Fix Dial Indicator on the Linear Motion Block, and then check the number which shown on dial indicator while slowly moving dial indicator from left to right. Through adjusting the position of screws (under the plate) to make the plate even until the numbers showed on dial indicator are almost same during its moving on plate in the left, middle and right part of the plate. The usage of minipad: Insert 2 minipads between the printhead plate and printer plate (measure from 2 points). The distance between printhead plate and mechanical plate will be 3 mm(The thickness of minipad). The tolerance is about 0.5 MM. Importance of adjustment: The plate adjustment will affect the resolution of printing image. Due to uneven plate, you may find different resolutions on left and right part of the image. The uneven plate will cause pintch roller pressure uneven also, thus the media will crinkle, and finally scratch the surface of Print head plate. Notice The plate adjustment must be done after the printer installation. The pintch roller should be pressed on the plate during plate even adjustment. The purpose of plate adjustment is to keep printhead plate is parallel with the printing plate. The specifications for plate adjustment attached on the back of Quality Certificate for your reference.

Printer Modes: Normal, Enhanced and Ultra. The option with black dot is selected mode. Click and select one. Printer speeds: Slow, Medium and Fast. The higher the speed is, the higher demands to mechanical parts and electronic circuit and ink quality are. And the printing quality will not be ideal. The option with black dot is selected speed. Click and select one. Printer Density: It has three options from 100% to 150%. Click and select as you need. Jet Bars: Click Jet Bars On could start or stop Color bars printing. The purpose of this function are checking working status of print head by eyes and avoiding the paused print head jamming. Purge Cycle: Click Purge Cycle could start or stop jetting periodically at clean station point. The period could be decided by inputted time (Unit=Secs.). This action could prevent print head jamming when printer pauses. Please stop printing when print head is jammed. Only after cleaning and carriage returned, can print be continued. Due to mechanical reasons, the edge may be not smooth; we can correct this error by inputting certain number into columns of Pause L-adjust and Pause R-adjust. According to the width of media, program could divide image into segments automatically. Segments printing should take edge overlap and vertical space between segments into account. Edge Overlap and Vertical Space between Segments can be set in this interface by inputting the proper size into side column. Unit is as prescribed currently. Choose Encoder: 1. Inner encoder: this option is for servo orientation. 2. Optical encoder: this option is for encoder strip orientation (adopted by the printer which use encoder strip) 3. Magnetic encoder: this option is for magnetic encoder strip orientation (adopted by the printer which use magnetic encoder strip. Until now it is unadopted.)
Automatic Cleaning:
Each [ ] passes, you can input the number that you want to set for automatic cleaning frequency; Movement adjustment [ ], you can set the error that for automatic cleaning. As per the position of sucking Nozzle, you can choose cleaning station at left or right. Notice: Click OK button, exit from interface and make modifications into effect. Click Cancel button, exit from interface and invalidate the modifications, and resume the original parameters.

Select Area According to the width of media to set number of segments or choose continual printing. Or print certain rectangle area. Starting line for each segment could be set also. (map 6.1.9-4)

Click Calibration order in the menu, then display control interface. This window has two pages, one is Calibration-1, and the other is Calibration-2. The default page is Calibration-1. Click Calibration-1(map 6.1.9-6) or Calibaration-2, and then enter the corresponding page.

On Calibration-1 page, click Set Clean Station Point button, then set the print head cleaning station point. Numerical value could be input in the side box, the unit is millimeter. This value is the horizontal distance from Zero Point Switch to the left edge of Carriage board. And the carriage board will stop at this point when the next Home order is executed. Click Movement InitDist button, then set the movement Initial distance. The numerical value could be input in this column, unit is millimeter. The Movement Initial Distance is the distance of carriage board movement from the status of quiescence to constant speed or from constant speed to quiescence status by accelerating or decelerating movement. Printing should be in the area that carriage boards speed is constant. Then the setting value should be larger than the actual movement distance or equal to it. But this numerical value can not be too large; otherwise the virtual printing width will be reduced. Click Movement L-delay button, and set the distance of Movement Left Delay. The numerical value could be input in the side column, unit is millimeter. Movement L-delay is the carriage movement delay from the movement orders sending to the carriage starting moving right. The larger the value is; the larger the distance of printed image movement to right will be. Click Movement R-delay button, and set the distance of Movement Right Delay. The numerical value could be input in the side column, unit is millimeter. Movement R-delay is the carriage movement delay from the movement orders sending to the carriage starting moving to left. The larger the value is; the larger the distance of printed image movement to left will be. If the mechanical precision in X axis is higher enough, then Movement L-delay will be equal to Movement R-delay approximately. Then right and left edge will be even by adjusting Movement L-delay and Movement R-delay.

Notice: These adjustments are for inner encoder use Only! Click Y-Stepping Adjust button, then adjust Y-Stepping slightly. The numerical value could be input in the side column, unit is millimeter. The error of media feeding may be caused by the pressure of pintch rollers or the pull of media tak up system. Then through inputting negative or positive numbers to adjust Y-axis stepping. The number is determined by effect of eyeballing to real printing. Click Bi-Alignment button, and then adjust Bi-Alignment of X axis movement slightly. The numerical value could be input in the side box, unit is millimeter. The numerical volume could be plus or minus. Notice: This function is for Optical Encoder use only. Notice: If media, print mode, print resolution or double printing are different, then Y-Stepping Adjustment will be different also. The corresponding settings should be saved separately. Click Calibration-2 shown as map 6.1.9-7.This operation could adjust the installation position of print head slightly.

Daily Maintenance
7.1 Print head Maintenance Installed Print heads Maintenance 1. If printer stops printing for a short while, then turn on the Auto Purge and press some inks on the surface of print heads to keep them wet. 2. If printer stops using for a long period, then dip all print heads into the tray with cleaning solution 4-5mm.(Without any low lint paper or lint-free wiper in the tray) 3. If printer stops printing for a long period, then disassemble all print heads from printer, and clean them thoroughly by cleaning solution to prevent them be clogged. 4. Before switching on the power, inspect all print heads adapters and calbles are connected properly and keep the ends of print heads and cables be dry. 5. Before turning on the 35V power supply, make sure inks filled in all print heads. Uninstalled Print Heads Maintenance 1. Flush the inner of print head by cleaning solution thoroughly, and keep the exterior of print head clean. 2. Store print head in anticorrosive container, and seal the container. 3. Before moving print head into the container, cap the ink inlet of print head first. 4. Keep enough cleaning solution in the container, then dip all print heads into the cleaning solution 4-5mm.(Without any low lint paper or lint-free wiper in the tray) New Print Heads Maintenance 1. Flush the new print head thoroughly. 2. Before installing print head, dry the end circuit part of print head by pneumatic gun, and make sure wihout any liquid or conductor on it. 3. Keep well the red print heads cover, the white ink inlet cap and the bag. Remarks: 1. To prevent micro fuzz entering print head, keep low lint paper and lint free wiper away from the print head tray. 2. To avoid dirty objects coming into print head, cap the ink inlet of print head during storing. 3. To prevent cleaning solution volatilizing, seal the print heads container. 7.2 Printer Maintenance 1. Check the linear rails lubricating status often and lubricate the linear rail with certified lubricating oil per 8 hours after clean the rail. 2. Lubricate the balls of slide block on linear rail regularly with specific oil and special oiling gun appointed by Authorized linear rail dealers. 3. Check ink quantity frequently and make sure the ink is enough for printing. 4. Change the ink filter periodically. 5. Clean print heads, ink tanks and ink level sensor regularly. 6. Check the tightness of joints of circuits and screws per 10 days around. 7. Check the status of axis joint parts and make sure no slippery, and then tighten all screws (as the status when it leaves factory standard.)
