CONTEXT IN - For this assignment, every group in the class was assigned a particular website and then
WHICH THE individually evaluate it. The website I researched was all about the negative effects of
WORK WAS Dihydrogen Monoxide.
COMPLETED: - To answer certain questions for this assignment I had to use www.altavista.com,
www.archive.com, and www.easywhois.com because these websites provide valid
information to the questions we were asked for the assignment.
- To complete this assignment correctly, I had to use many of the internet skills I learned about
when completing the Alan November quiz.
- For this assignment to be submitted properly, we had to put it into a PDF format. To do this, I
needed to acquire a new skill on how to correctly change a documents format from .doc to
.pdf. To do this I found a PDF converter on the internet and saved that website to my
delicious account so when I need to convert something again I can just go to my delicious
account and find the website I used.
BULLETED - This assignment and the Alan November quiz go hand in hand with one another, and that is
REFLECTION: why I decided to have them both be a part of this portfolio. Both assignments demonstrate
what I have learned about navigating through the web and how I can find out what websites
are good to get information from, and what ones aren’t so good to get information from.
- The tools I used to complete this assignment include Microsoft Word, using a PDF converter,
using the websites listed above to find answers to certain questions, and being able to
navigate through the given website to see if it was credible or not.
- This quiz also helped me throughout the semester when looking at other websites, especially
when looking for webquests. I was able to use the websites listed above to find out who
created it, who links to it, and when it was last updated.
