Intro

Ecosystems are communities of living things (e.g. plants and animals) sharing a certain environmentthe largest ecosystem units are called biomes. There are certain key influencing factors like; climate, relief, geology and soils. The following study is of the Amazon jungle which is a tropical rainforest environment. It has an equatorial climate which means it is near the equator. Tropical rainforests have hot, humid, growing conditions with many different species. It has two tree layers and a sparse undergrowth layer.

What is being done to help the rainforest?

Charities have been set up all around the world raising

money to try and help the environment in the Amazon jungle as it is under big threat form deforestation . Wildlife are loosing important habitats and it is effects all food and life cycles deep into the jungle. Charities employ workers to go out into the jungle and build homes and save the wildlife from extinction. Many animals are being saved by this but many are not. They build the necessary features that the wildlife need.
