The Yukon Chamber of Mines represents a dynamic membership and since its creation almost 70 years ago has worked to serve its valued members and advance the interests of all those involved in the territorys mining industry. Membership has burgeoned over the years from a dozen founding members in 1943 to more than 400 today. We encourage you and your company if not already to become a member of the Yukon Chamber of Mines and further strengthen the collective voice of our membership, which includes exploration, mining and service and supply companies, contractors and individuals. Our organizations commitment to responsible development and industry best practices resonates throughout our work and we thrive on the government, community, First Nation and individual partnerships we forge to help facilitate an environment of responsible development one in which our members can contribute and prosper. With the 2011 season upon us, please mark your calendars for the 2011 Yukon Geoscience Forum - set to take place from November 19 to 23 in Whitehorse. New this year will be online registration, which will open on September 12 on the Yukon Chamber of Mines web site at www.yukonminers.ca.
