Falling in love with a student has always been frowned upon. Even so, what happens when that love turns into an obsession? What happens with that obsession turns to murder?

Evelyn-Viktoria Ross was a petite forty year-old school teacher, who had various degrees ranging from teaching to psychology; she even won the Teacher of the Year Award for the past three years at her current high school she taught at. Life was good; she didnt think it could get any better that was until she met the new student Michael Jasper. Michael Jasper was a blond hair; blue-eyed, baby faced seventeen year, who came from a rich family. Anything Michael wanted he got with the snap of his fingers Evelyn knew that Michael would not pay any attention to her. However, that didnt stop her from convincing herself that she was in love with her new student. Evelyn knew a teacher-student relationship would be frowned upon; nevertheless, there was something about Michael that made Evelyns heart skip a beat, whatever it was it stirred up desires that Evelyn had never had for a student before.

Michael had transferred to the school and into her class a little over three months ago. Evelyn at first just saw Michael as another rich student who was popular with all the girls. It wasnt until he stayed late after class to ask her a question about the previous nights homework that she saw him as more than a student. She saw him as a man. She saw him as someone who could be more than just a friend a lover, a lifelong partner. That was when she started following him. Evelyn had convinced herself that she had to protect Michael. Theres nothing wrong with making sure he got home safely, she told herself, justifying her stalker-like behavior. It was because of her protecting him that she found herself sitting outside a little caf, binoculars in hand, watching Michael while he was on a date. Her hands gripped the binoculars tighter, until her knuckles were white, and she leaned forward, trying to get a closer look.

5 The tramp, she thought bitterly to herself, is trying to steal him away from me! Evelyn got out of her car and headed toward the caf in a huff. Once inside, she ordered a muffin and a cup of tea. Her table was just a few feet away from Michael and his date. Her face was obscured from view by a plant. She watched them for what seemed like hours, laughing and carrying on as they were, completely unaware of the raging lady sitting a few tables away from them. Her cheeks flamed red with anger, and her fingers squeezed the muffin until all that remained was a mess of crumbs. Shes not even that pretty, I look better than her at forty Evelyn thought to herself. Evelyn watched as Michael and his date stood up to leave, composing herself Evelyn stood and instantly locked eyes with the two of them. Miss. Ross, said Michael, what are you doing here? Just having a muffin and a cup of tea before heading home for the night said Evelyn. Cool said Michael next he introduced his date Halley to Miss Ross, they both said hello to each other and after Michael quickly said they had to go because Halley had a curfew. It was nice meeting you Evelyn said to Halley and Ill see you on Monday, Miss Ross said to Michael. She watched as the two walked out of the caf, a sly smirk on her face. Evelyn knew what she had to do.

Weeks had passed, and Evelyn hadnt been seen since that fateful night at the caf. Close family and friends chalked it up to her being taken, because Evelyn wasnt the type to leave without letting someone know her plans. However, this time Evelyn had made it a point to keep everyone out of the loop. She wasnt taken she had decided to get away so she could plot how she could have Michael all to herself. She wasnt going to let Michael get away with going out with Halley. She couldnt stop thinking about Michael. He consumed her thoughts, being with

6 Michael is whats driving this sinister obsession. It just so happened as she was driving down the street, she saw Halley getting ready to cross the street right in front of her. Thats when she got the idea. She will kill them both. Without thinking, she sped up the car and raced down the street and hit Halley so hard it sent her flying into the air. The force of the blow was extremely severe when Halley hit the ground she was immediately knocked unconscious. Evelyn quickly put her car in reverse and ran over Halley for good measure. Then she put the car in drive and sped away, not in the slightest bit phased that she had just taken someones life. Evelyn now found herself on the out skirts of town hiding in a cabin deep in the woods. Constantly looking out the cabin window for any signs of the police, but she wasnt alone. Sometime during the night she had lured Michael away from his home, by claiming to know who had killed Halley. She explained to Michael that they could go to the police together. Without even thinking Michael jumped into Evelyns car as they drove out of the driveway, she promptly hit him in the head with a gun she had tucked away under her seat, knocking him unconscious. To justify her actions, Evelyn said to herself he cheated on me; he deserves to die. Michael watched his teacher pace back and forth in front of him. His eyes zeroed in on the gun in her hand. Miss Ross, whats going on? Michael asked, and why am I tied to this chair, and what do you need a gun for? Is it money, Im sure I can convince my father to wire some money, please Miss Ross, talk to me! That did it, something about his voice, maybe his lack of understanding, enraged her, and she just snapped. Without thinking she pointed the gun at Michael. She cocked the pistol and fired.

7 By the time the police figured out who was behind the murder and kidnapping, and where Evelyn had taken Michael it was too late. Evelyn-Viktoria Ross and Michael Jasper were both dead. They were found with a gun shot through the heart. There was no good-bye letter, no reason as to why she did what she did save for three words the police found scribbled on a yellow piece of crumbled paper under Michaels chair: I loved him. Evelyn-Viktoria Ross had fallen in love with her student, and that love turned into an obsession. If she couldnt have him killing him was the best way to make sure no one could have him.
