Keeping Unity through Peace (verses 1-6)

We Must Have Love "bearing with one another in love"
1. Be Humble
be completely humble

2. Be Gentle
and gentle

3. Be Patient
be patient, bearing with one another

There is only One Way

1. One Body 2. One Spirit 3. One Hope 4. One Lord 5. One Faith 6. One Baptism 7. One God

Achieving Maturity in our Faith (verses 7-16)

Leaders for the Church
1. Apostles 4. Pastors 2. Prophets 3. Evangelists 5. Teachers

Purpose of Church Leaders

1. To prepare church for service to prepare Gods people for works of service So it is stonger so that the body of Christ may be built up 2. To unify the churchs faith reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God So it is mature become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

The Mature Church

1. We have wisdom we will no longer be infants 2. We have truth speaking the truth in love 3. We have each other the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament

A New Person in Christ (verses 17-32)

Don't be Like the Lost
1. Darkened Understanding darkened in their understanding 2. Detached from God separated from the life of God 3. Dulled sensitivity Having lost all sensitivity 4. Desiring Impurity indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more

Put off the Old Self "which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires"
1. Do not lie put off falsehood and speak truthfully 2. Do not hold grudges "Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. 3. Do not steal steal no longer 4. Do not speak foolishly "Do not let unwholesome talk come out of your mouths 5. Do not grieve the Spirit do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God

Put on the New Self

1. Be renewedbe made new in the attitude of your minds 2. Be holy be like God in true righteousness and holiness 3. Be useful doing something useful with his hands 4. Be encouraging what is helpful for building up others according to their needs 5. Be merciful be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other
