Bloomberg is looking for a Java Developer Consultant with strong core Java programming skills, excellent problem solving and design skills and an appreciation for the scope and impact of their work. The candidate should also demonstrate a history of on-time delivery, excellent communication, and a positi ve get-it-done attitude. Legal domain expertise and experience working on legal research platforms is a strong plus. Qualifications: - BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or comparable experience - 5+ years of Core Java Programming experience in Unix/Linux environment - Solid understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms & Object-Oriented design co ncepts - Proficiency with relational database / SQL development - Understanding of XML/XSD and other schema driven data - Distributed systems / middleware / multithreaded experience - Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills - Team player with excellent communication skills - .NET is a strong plus - Legal domain expertise & experience working on legal research platforms a stro ng plus
