A continuacin, conoceremos la historia de John Nkwelu, un inmigrante nigeriano que lleg a Londres hace 10 aos. En una entrevista, Nkwelu nos hablar de lo que hizo y las cosas que han ocurrido en los aos que lleva en Londres.
Por ltimo, aprovechando que en esta unidad hablaremos de cosas y sucesos pasados, conocers a Eberhard, quien nos contar un poco sobre el viaje que hizo a Irlanda en sus pasadas vacaciones y cmo le impresion un paraje natural irlands llamado Giants Causeway o Calzada de los Gigantes.

A uno cercano: la semana pasada, ayer, hace una hora, etc. A uno ms lejano: el ao pasado, en 1985 o en el siglo XV. Para poder trabajar con el pasado tienes que tener en cuenta que existen verbos irregulares. Debers, pues, aprender las formas de pasado de estos verbos irregulares. Te proporcionamos una tabla en la que tienes los verbos irregulares de uso ms frecuente: accede al documento Irregular verbs en la seccin de recursos de la plataforma. Aunque haya verbos irregulares, en realidad, utilizar el pasado no es nada difcil. Al igual que con el Presente Simple, este tiempo tambin es muy fcil de formar. A continuacin te explicamos cmo se forma. Ya sabes, es un tiempo verbal nuevo y debes prestar especial atencin.

Where do you come from1? I come from Nigeria. When did you arrive in London? I arrived in 1997, that is, ten years ago. What did you do when you arrived in London? When I arrived at Heathrow Airport, I took the tube2 and I went to the city centre. I met some friends from Nigeria that afternoon. Why did you come to London? Because I wanted3 to live in a big city. Did you find a job4 easily? No, not really; I spent5 a week looking for6 a job. Where did you get your first job? I got my first job in a hotel, as a receptionist.
