Homicide Investigation Update

The Cape Breton Regional Police Service presently has 25 members assigned full time to this investigation. As this investigation moves forward if more resources are needed they will be taken from other sections within our Police Service or from outside agencies. Our police divers are presently in the water doing a grid search in the area where the victim was located. From what investigators have learned so far this tragic death appears to be an isolated case and not a random act. Out of respect for the victims family we will honor their request that our police service doesnt release her name to the media.
