    May 31, 2012 Grapevine-Colleyville ISD administrators have been notified that Grapevine Police are investigating a teacher

    on allegations of an improper relationship between educator and student and online solicitation of a minor. The teacher, John McDaniel, was immediately put on administrative leave from the district. He surrendered to police and was taken into custody. Police are continuing to investigate. If the police investigation substantiates the allegations, the district will immediately proceed with termination procedures. McDaniel has served as head band director at Colleyville Middle School since July 2009. While state and federal privacy laws prevent us from publicly discussing details about these allegations or the persons involved, GCISD leaders continue cooperating fully with police.
