Noun Phrase
1. A noun alone : plural noun (Npl) -> dogs , children proper noun (Npr)-> John, Marry pronouns (PRO) -> he, she ,we a noun refering to substance -> water,air,clay 2. A noun plus other words : DET + N -> the room an apple DET+ (ADJ+) + noun -> a beautiful day
A Noun phrase can be formed from a noun alone or a noun plus other words.
NP + PP
(NP+)+Conj+NP -> my brother and I DET + Nm -> the loneliness DET + Npl -> the children, the dogs DET + N + PP -> the book about the war
Prepositional Phrase
A prepositional phrase can be formed from preposition plus a noun phrase. Prepositition + NP -> in the garden with his dog to the market Deg + Preposition + NP -> almost in the house
