Like most skills, it is learned.


Think of a friendship, a car you own,
or even a plant. All need fine tuning
and care to flourish and grow.

The creative mind works in much the


same way.

beginning. Or just
give the middle and
YOU CAN DO IT!

Maybe a lot of you have tried


to write creatively but feel
discouraged.
Maybe something is holding
you
back. Here are 3 things to
keep in
mind the next time you
STEP 1. START SMALL

Don’t sit down try to write a


novel. Start small. Pick a
small project like a haiku or
short article. If not, maybe
just think about how to
formulate ideas. Allow
yourself to get used to the
writing process, not
necessarily the writing itself.
STEP 2. Nourish = Flourish

Like any other creative skill,


writing needs to become a
habit so that it might reach
it’s full potential. You might
start by working on this twice
a week for 15 minutes and
then increasing the time after
STEP 3: Experiment. Play.
Enjoy!
Remember that creative writing
is
about exploring new characters,
themes, worlds, and ways of
expressing yourself. If you
get bored of writing
poems, don’t forget that there
are millions of other types of
writing to try! Try new
formats and styles.
