CALL FOR CONCEPT DESIGN SUBMISSION FOR ECORUN-2012 a Fuel Efficient Car Design Competition All interested students

of different levels/terms of the Department of Mechanica l Engineering, BUET, are hereby notified to submit their design concepts of thei r cars for the ECORUN-2012 a Fuel Efficient Car Design Competition , expected to be held in Bangladesh and jointly organized by BUET and JICA with representatives from different other organizations. You may submit two designs one for fuel econ omy and another for more practical use. Submission Deadline: April 18, 2012 (Wednesday) Submission Office: Departmental Office Drop Box Submission should include: Detail conceptual design of your vehicle An overall (3D-CAD) of the vehicle Identification of major components with possible materials Prediction of weight, dimension and performance (This should comply with the ECO RUN specifications published / attached herewith Advantages / Limitations of your design Please submit both hard and soft copies (CDs/DVDs). The design can be submitted either as an individual project or as a group projec t. The designs will be short-listed and some of them will be invited for the det ail presentation and eventually a couple of them are expected to be selected for the final design.
