South Park Kenny

My step-son seems to have an avid fascination for South Park, so I found pictures of the characters and copied them with my hook. This is the first of four patterns.

You will need:

DK weight yarn in Black, Orange, Natural and Taupe (I have used King Cole Pricewise) Black eyelash yarn Black embroidery thread Yarn needle and embroidery needle Plastic milk bottle lid Something to weight down the base of your doll (I used dried split lentils in the toe of some tights)

Notes:
This pattern is written in British English terms. Do not join each round or turn unless otherwise stated. Seams have been joined using mattress stitch; if you pull your stitches tight while joining the seams, the colour of yarn used will not show through to the right side of your work. Take your time when embroidering the details; placement and scale are important. At the end of each line of instructions I have given the number of stitches. Where a sequence of stitches are to be repeated throughout a round, the sequence is in () with the total number of repeats afterwards. Mark the beginning of your round with an odd length of yarn in a contrasting colour. This will help you keep track of where you are in the pattern and make it easier to count your stitches. Move your marker up at the beginning of each round. Where dc2tog is written, I have used the invisible decrease method. I would certainly recommend using this yourself. Likewise, I have used the invisible fasten off method, which again I would recommend using for neater seams Be sure to place the plastic milk bottle lid in the base of your doll before the second decrease or you wont have enough space to do so. If you are using the same method of weighting as I am, then I would recommend placing that in the body at the same time.
