Riders can pre-register at Dan Turco & Sons YAMAHA or the morning of the ride at the Vermont State Fairgrounds in Rutland (use the Park St. gate entrance) between 8:30 am to 9:45 am. Free Coffee at morning registration. To participate in the ride, the suggested donation is $20 per Rider/Driver plus $10 for each passenger. This ride will depart from Vermont State Fairgrounds in Rutland, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 am. We will complete an estimated 100 mile round trip ride. The Red Knights, Vt. Chapter III will coordinate and lead the ride. After the ride, which will end back at the Vermont State Fairgrounds, there will be a BBQ Pig Roast, with many homemade dishes of summertime favorites. Live remote from 101.5 The Fox. Entertainment from Dusty Rose and Middle River Gospel Bands, a Rock Climbing Wall donated by the U.S. Army, Humvee, and a Free Gift for the first 100 participants. Obamacare makes the problem much worse by adding to the entitlement crisis in the form of a massive Medicaid expansion and a new entitlement subsidy for households with incomes up to 400 percent of the federal poverty level. These two spending entitlement programs will add at least 35 million Americans to the government rolls at an expense of more than $200 billion annually by the end of the decade. 4. To help stop Taxmageddon. In addition to being a massive federal power grab, Obamacare contains a massive tax increase on the American economy. In total, the Congressional Budget Office estimated the Obamacare tax hikes would raise about $800 billion in new revenue over a decade. Taxmageddon, the unprecedented, $494 billion tax hike scheduled to hit Americans on January 1, 2013 includes just five of Obamacares 18 new taxes. 3. To preserve freedom, including religious freedom, for all Americans. Obamacare tramples on individual freedom and religious liberty. One of the first examples is the especially controversial provision of the HHS preventive services mandate that takes effect in a few short weeks on August 1. After that, as employers renew their health plans in the coming year, they will have to comply with the HHS mandates coercive requirement to cover abortion-related drugs, contraception and sterilization regardless of religious or moral objections. This is one of the first chilling examples in Obamacare that shows how Americans will lose their individual liberties. 2. To keep health care decisions where they belong with patients and their doctors. Obamacare is a massive intrusion in the doctor-patient relationship, micromanaging how health care should be delivered to patients. When the government is given this much authority and discretion, it does not result in higher-quality care for patients. Rather, it leads to price controls and one-size-fits-all regulations that misallocate resources and will lead to headaches for doctors and problems for patients trying to access health care. 1. To make way for real, patient-centered, market-based health care reform. Health care reform that preserves American liberty is possible and is direly needed. The Heritage Foundations Saving the American Dream provides such a plan and would put us on a course toward a truly consumerbased health care system. A starting point should be setting common sense insurance rules for those who buy their own insurance. Congress should combine sensible individual health insurance market reforms with appropriate tax and Medicaid reforms for a fair and fiscally sound strategy to expand coverage to the currently uninsured. All donations stay local in our community by supporting the Foley Cancer Center and local cancer patients. Also to help support family care givers and to raise awareness to improve the quality of life for patients and their families living with the struggles of brain and other types of cancers. We need your support. So please join us, Saturday, July 21, 2012 for the 5th Annual Gayle Sheldon Memorial Ride & Fun Day! Riders can pre-register at Dan Turco & Sons YAMAHA or the morning of the ride at the Vermont State Fairgrounds in Rutland (use the Park St. gate entrance) between 8:30 am to 9:45 am. Free Coffee at morning registration. To participate in the ride, the suggested donation is $20 per Rider/Driver plus $10 for each passenger. This ride will depart from Vermont State Fairgrounds in Rutland, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 am. We will complete an estimated 100 mile round trip ride. The Red Knights, Vt. Chapter III will coordinate and lead the ride. After the ride, which will end back at the Vermont State Fairgrounds, there will be a BBQ Pig Roast, with many homemade dishes of summertime favorites. Live remote from 101.5 The Fox. Entertainment from Dusty Rose and Middle River Gospel Bands, a Rock Climbing Wall donated by the U.S. Army, Humvee, and a Free Gift for the first 100 participants. All this and much, much more with your suggested donation. The gates are open to the general public to join Free of charge. Please come one, come all to hear your favorite music or to try your luck at climbing the rock wall and to participate in many of our other activities. If you want to join us for the Pig Roast and fixings, the suggested donatio is $10 per adult (15 & up) and $5 for children (14 & under.) Residents of the region remember the huge ladderback chair that stood in front of the building for decades and became a local landmark until it fell into disrepair and was removed. Christopher LaFlamme, Jr., along with the the historical preservation society and Bennington officials has obtained permission to rebuild the chair. LaFlammes investment in the property and community goes far beyond the chair, however. The 12,500-square-foot structure has been completely renovated while maintaining its character and charm. LaFlammes wife and business partner, Angela (Coyne) LaFlamme, grew up in Bennington. She and her husband, who was raised in nearby Hoosick Falls, NY, feel this expansion into Bennington is a bit like coming home , Making an investment here and doing it right was very important to both of us. The spacious, beautifully-appointed store is now filled with an extensive inventory to suit all tastes, styles and budgets.
