Business management is a field of study that explores how business is structured and managed. Students can elect business management as their major if they're intending to go into the business field. Some schools have specific "colleges of business," such as Boston University and DePaul University, where business management degrees are offered. In business management, students have exposure to various theoretical and practical materials that they can apply to a position in business after they graduate.

A business management degree is a four-year degree offered by certain universities. The curriculum is designed to give students theoretical and practical knowledge about business operations, processes and systems. They take classes in the core areas of business, such as marketing, operations,

accounting and finance, economics, strategy and organizational behavior. Some schools have impacted business management departments, which means that in order to elect the major, you need to have a certain GPA or finish a certain introductory class.
