So just relaxing, with your body resting and positioned comfortably. Just relaxing body and mind, with your eyes gently closed letting go and naturally relaxing. Just for a little while, nobody wanting anything, nobody expecting anything, and theres nothing for you to do but relax. You may hear all the everyday sounds of life around you, and the very hearing of these sounds just helps you to relax even more, even deeper - as you listen to the sound of my voice, so you are relaxing from the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes effortlessly allowing your muscles to become soft and at ease. Imagining now, the top of your head completely relaxing - and your eyes and face muscles letting them relax - and your jaw noticing that any clenched muscles there, just let go and your neck muscles going soft. And your shoulders letting your shoulders become all limp and slack while you imagine yourself just drifting, drifting into a calm and peaceful state of mind. And now aware of your arms relaxing, - your elbows, forearms, - wrists, - hands and fingers. Continuing to imagine yourself just drifting drifting with a calm and peaceful sort of feeling. Now letting your chest relax, and - as your chest relaxes, - so your breathing becomes easy and regular, natural and deep. And now let your stomach muscles soften - and your hips - and back the whole of your back goes all limp and slack, - and you may or may not be aware of yourself just drifting into this calm and peaceful feeling, a very relaxed and sleepy sort of feeling letting everything go. And now let your legs relax, - thighs, - knees, - calves and shins, - ankles, - feet and toes. Imagine yourself completely limp from the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes - and imagine yourself just drifting deeper and deeper, - more calm and more peaceful a very soft and peaceful state. And now you may imagine your head gently glowing with red light. Effortlessly day dreaming of the inside of your head glowing with red light. And now, see how the red colour can just change - into orange. Seeing the colour orange letting it just be there or just pretending that youre seeing it. So next, the orange colour becomes yellow - perhaps just seeing a few flashes of yellow - before it becomes green just glowing. And, once you have the idea of the colour green, so its replaced with the relaxing colour blue. And when your mind is momentarily flashing with the colour blue, it just seems to become violet. And just as you notice a few flashes of violet, so and with a slight mood of relaxed expectancy - the colour of pure gold shines forth. The inside of your head is just naturally radiating with pure and illuminating gold light. Now just lazily allow the expanse of your mind to be permeated with the colour of resplendant gold. In that moment as the gold light pervades your mind, so it flows out of the crown of your head and over your face and neck. You hardly even feel the gold mist soothing your body and mind, as it envelops your shoulders - your back - your chest. And as the gold light spreads over your body, you may even notice all your muscles become so relaxed - with any last tinges of tension dissolving and disappearing as you are bathed in the glowing purity of this deeply comforting moment - feeling the aura of gold enveloping your arms, your hips - over your legs and all the way down to your feet. With the golden radiance becoming completely at one with you so you are beyond noticing just how relaxed youre feeling - - duality dissolves, - feeling at peace with yourself - feeling at peace within yourself at one with all at one with everything and everyone. And now noticing the very heart of your being, - utterly at peace at peace with yourself at peace with everyone at one with the world. You may sometimes be aware of every radiant part of your being, being wonderfully at peace. This wonderfully calm and gentle feeling is continuing, growing, increasing, expanding, deepening, - pervading all being -

pervading all beings. As respect for the dharma grows throughout your daily experience, so glimpses of purity and insights naturally arise. And a continuing depth of faith and confidence in all precious enlightened and enlightening beings places you in a profound peace, and this is further deepened through the inspiration and purity of the vows and conduct of Samantabadra. With spontaneous praise and joy ever present: Salutions to the ever-youthful Arya Manjushri! 1. With clarity of body, speech, and mind, We bow without exception to all the lions among men Of the past, present, and future, In every world in all the ten directions. By the power of this Aspiration to Noble Conduct, May we manifest bodies as numerous as atoms in all worlds, Aware in mind of the presence of the countless Victorious Ones, And I prostrate to all of them. May we conceive of the entire realm of truth To be completely filled with enlightened ones. There are as many Buddhas as atoms, ever present in each atom, Each surrounded by multitudes of Bodhisattvas. May we honour all these blissful lords, Extolling the ocean of their inexhaustible perfections With an ocean of melodies and sounds, And un-ending praise. Offering to these heroic Ones delightful flowers, beautiful garlands, melodic music, purist ointments, excellent canopies, finest lamps, And sublime incense. May we offer to those heroic Ones, The finest robes and most pleasing fragrances delicious foods all perfectly arranged and arrayed as high as Mount Meru. By the power of our faith in noble deeds We prostrate and present Vast and unequalled offerings To each of the victorious Ones. 8. We confess every type of wrong That we have done through thought, word, or deed, Under the influence of desire, anger, or ignorance. We rejoice in the virtuous actions Of all the Buddhas of the ten directions, The Bodhisattvas, Pratyeka Buddhas, Arhats, Practitioners, and sentient beings. We request all the enlightened protectors Who have attained sublime Buddhahood,

Who illumine the worlds of the ten directions, To turn the peerless wheel of Dharma. 11. With hands folded, we beseech Those who intend to manifest the final nirvana To remain for as many eons as there are atoms in all Buddha lands, To gladden and benefit all living beings. May whatever little virtue we may have gained through prostrating, offering, and confessing, Rejoicing, requesting, and beseeching, Be dedicated to attain perfect enlightenment. May we worship the Buddhas of the past, and those now present In the worlds of the ten directions - as well as those to come. May they quickly fulfill their aspirations, And reach Buddhahood by traversing the stages of enlightenment. May all the worlds of the ten directions Become spacious, pure, And filled with victorious Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Who so proceed to the royal tree of enlightenment. May all beings in the ten directions Always be happy and free of sickness. May their aspirations be in harmony with the dharma, And may they fulfill these wishes. May we perform all the activities of enlightenment, Remembering our lives in all states of existence. In all lives, after death, migration, and rebirth, May we always renounce the world. May we follow all the victorious Buddhas, And completely perfect all noble deeds. Pure in the immaculate conduct of morality, May we always be steadfast and perfect. May we teach the Dharma in every tongue, In whatever sounds are understood by living beings, In the language of the gods, Nagas, yakshas, spirits, and humans. May we always diligently and patiently perform the perfections. May we never forget enlightenment mind, And completely remove Whatever negativities may obscure it. Freed from karma, defilements, and evil influences, As unsoiled by the mire, So in every rebirth in the world, may I proceed constantly, Like the sun and moon in the sky. Throughout all the lands in all the directions, May the sufferings of the lower realms be completely removed. Establishing all beings in happiness,

May we work for the benefit of all. May we fully accomplish the conduct of enlightenment, Work in harmony with the actions of all beings, Thoroughly demonstrate noble deeds, And perform them through all future eons. May we always associate with those Whose activities are similar to ours. May we act alike in thought, word, and deed, And may our aspirations be as one. May those friends who wish to help us, And thoroughly demostrate noble deeds, Always meet us again, And may we always satisfy them. May we always behold the Victors, Those guardians surrounded by Bodhisattvas, And being diligent in all future eons, May I always present them magnificent offerings. May we always uphold the Buddhas' holy Dharma And illuminate the deeds of enlightenment. May we thoroughly train in noble activities In all future eons. Throughout rebirths in all existences, May we gather everlasting stores of merit and wisdom. May we become an inexhaustible treasury of All virtues of method, wisdom, concentration, and freedom. May we always behold as many lands As there are atoms, all present in each atom. In each land countless Buddhas sitting in the midst of their Bodhisattvas, And displaying the activities of enlightenment. In this way may we be able to perform everywhere, Even on every mote of dust, The conduct of oceans of Buddhas of the past, present, and future, In oceans of pure lands, and oceans of eons. May we always heed the pure speech of the victorious Buddhas, Which holds, within each word, the totality of the perfect Dharma, Being an ocean of words and languages Perfectly suited to the needs of all beings. May we possess perfect intelligence So as to heed the unceasing melody of speech, As the victorious Buddhas of the past, present, and future Turn the wheels of Dharma. May we enter all eons - past, present, and future In every moment of time. May we enter all future eons In a single instant.

May we always behold the Lions among Men Of the past, present, and future in each instant. May we always perform their activities Through the power of liberation from illusion. May we perceive upon a single atom the perfect design Of the pure realms of the past, present, and future. Thus may I enter into the realms Of the victorious Buddhas in all directions. May we always be in the presence of the future illuminators of the worlds, When they proceed through the stages of Buddhahood, Turn the wheel of Dharma, And so manifest the profound peace of nirvana. May we acquire the perfectly accomplished powers of enlightenment The power of miraculous conduct, The abilities to enter all spiritual paths, The power to manifest all virtuous qualities. The power of all-pervasive love, The power of increasing all virtue, The power of wisdom which transcends all attachment, And the powers of wisdom, method, and concentration. May the power of action be completely purified, May the power of defilements be fully subdued, May the power of demons be totally destroyed, May the power of noble deeds be perfected. May the ocean of lands be completely purified, May the ocean of beings be completely liberated, May the ocean of Dharma be fully understood, May the ocean of wisdom be fully attained. May the ocean of activities be completely purified, May the ocean of aspirations be entirely accomplished, May the ocean of Buddhas be eternally revered, May the noble conduct be diligently performed through oceans of eons. The victorious Buddhas of the past, present, and future Attained the enlightened state Through aspiration of the noble conduct of enlightenment. May we completely accomplish all these activities. The eldest son of all the victorious Buddhas, The one renowned as Samantabhadra: May we dedicate all of these merits That our activities may concord with that wise one.

43.

Just as that noble wise one dedicated His completely pure body, speech, mind, Activities, and realms, Likewise, may we become his equal. 44. To perform every noble virtue,

We will practice the aspiration of Manjushri. May we unceasingly accomplish all of his deeds In every future eon. May our noble conduct ever increase. May our good qualities ever increase. Through performing ever increasing activities, May we accomplish all miraculous deeds. The limit of living beings Is as of open space. May our aspirations be equal to space compassionate and equalling The infinitude of their activities. Whoever offers to the victorious Buddhas All the realms of the ten directions adorned with jewels, And with all the excellent joys of gods and men For as many eons as there are atoms in those realms, shall gain great merit. But whoever hears this greatest dedication prayer, Greatly aspires to perfect enlightenment, And even once generates faith, Shall gain even higher and holier merit. Whoever recites this Aspiration to Noble Conduct Will only experience pleasing rebirth, Will only befriend the virtuous, And soon behold Amitabha Buddha. They will find that which is sought, Live in happiness, Find joy also in this life, And soon become like Samantabhadra himself. Even though they may have, in ignorance, Committed the five irredeemable sins, They will soon be completely purified Through uttering this Aspiration to Noble Conduct. They will achieve perfect wisdom, a radiant countenance, Ethereal form, auspicious physical marks, and a noble birth. Profane and evil beings will shy away from them, And they will be honoured in the three realms. They will quickly reach the royal tree of enlightenment, Residing there to benefit all beings. As enlightened Buddhas, they will turn the wheel of Dharma, Taming the demonic hosts.

54.

Whoever knows, teaches, or recites This Aspiration to Noble Deeds Shall ultimately attain perfect Buddhahood. Having deep confidence in complete enlightenment. 55. In whatever way the valiant Manjushri and Samantabhadra Know how to dedicate merit,

So do we dedicate all our virtues As we train to be like them. Through this dedication, praised as supreme By the victorious Buddhas of the past, present, and future, May we dedicate all of these roots of virtue To accomplishing the Noble Conduct. At the moment of death, All insights shall arise, We shall behold the Buddha Amitabha, And go to His pure land, Sukhavati. In that blissful land, May we completely manifest all of these aspirations, And benefit all beings For as long as the universe remains. Joyful there, in that blessed pure realm of the Buddhas, May we be reborn within the beautiful, perfect lotus, And may the Buddha Amitabha Himself Foretell our own enlightenment. May we thereafter accomplish countless benefits For living beings in all the ten directions By the power of perfect wisdom In myriads of emanations. Through whatever small virtue we have gathered By hearing this Aspiration to Noble Conduct, May all virtuous aspirations of living beings Be accomplished in that instant. Through the boundless merit gained by so dedicating This Aspiration to Noble Conduct, May the countless beings drowning in the torrent of suffering Reach the stage of Amitabha. May this greatest of dedication prayers Benefit countless living beings. By taking to heart, this ornament of Samantabhadra May all beings ever attain freedom within the virtuous realms.

And now as I count up from one to five, you may now like to drift up from where you are, mindful, feeling good, feeling well, feeling aware and at ease, refreshed, restored, re-energised. One beginning to come up now feeling good and feeling well. Two coming up further now, feeling really good. And three coming half way up, feeling confident and mindful. And four eyes beginning to open now, eyes beginning to open. And five eyes open, awake, alert and aware, feeling good, feeling fit, feeling very much at peace. Thank you for listening.
