OA & VC Firmware Upgrade process

1. Verify the current firmware on OA & VC.

Login using ADM account into OA (blencl<##>-oa#)click on Rack Firmware
Look for the current version on highlighted area.

2. Take a backup of current Virtual connect & OA settings

Execute below command from lxdevtst
/usr/local/bin/vcsu -a configbackup -i <OA_IP_ADDR> -u ful_sysmaster -p *********** -l
/lxdevtst_stage/EBS/blencl2-oa1_<DATE>.bkp -vcu ful_sysmaster -vcp ***********

3. Upgrade the OA firmware first.

4. On The Right Lower Pane click on Brose and select the correct downloaded bin file, After that
click on Upload

5. Once you click on Upload , you will see a WARNING pop-up window something like this.

Click OK and proceed.

6. Upgrade process will update Stand-By OA first by default and later it makes Stand by as primary.
This process is going to take anywhere between 5-15 min. and you will be see this kind of
progress bar.

7. After upgrade you will be logged back in Active OA.

8. Verify all the firmware is upgraded for both the OA.
Rack Firmware Right most corner (Highlighted) area, you should see the updated firmware
version.

9. MANDATORY STEP , Now install the latest BIOS firmware on all the Blade servers and POWER
OFF all the servers from OA.

Device Bay Select All the blades Virtual Power Power off.

Virtual Connect Firmware upgrade process

1. Verify the current Virtual connect modules and firmware on that.
Login in to lxdevtst and run following command to get the output
#vcsu -a report -i <OA_IP_ADDR> -u ful_sysmaster -p ************* -l
/lxdevtst_stage/ANIL/vcfwall360.bin

2. Now you can start the upgrade process.

3. Verify the current Virtual connect modules and firmware on that.
Login in to lxdevtst and run following command to get the output
