Nine Sacred Passions The very Foundation of the Cult of Esctasy's beliefs and Magic! So i'm reading the 1st edition Tradition book and i go to reread the Sacred Passions, and for some odd reason i count them, there are eight, or thirteen if i count the opposites they've listed. What?! I say, Eight? I reread it again, search the next few pages and still i find nothing. I have a friend read it to confirm i haven't gone insane and misread it. But no, i am correct, there are only eight. They have Listed: 1: Joy/Wonder 2: Empathy/Sympathy 3: Lust/Ambition 4: Grief/Sadness 5: Fear 6: Jealousy/Envy 7: Hate 8: Rage Thank the Gods they at least didn't mix their verbs up, although they were a little Chop-shop on some of it. Mage isn't a game of just stoners, you freaks! Expecially not the Cultists now, excuse me while i beat you over the head and shoulders with my Logic-Bat. I demand that my cultist know what he's talking about! So with this in Mind, this is what i have come up with.. I am Wraith, i am Cultist of Ecstacy, i am Satyr. Passion is my forte, and you will Hear Me! **much slipping into character** These are the sacred passions, these are why my heart beats, my lungs breathe, and my spirit continues in the cosmic stream. For I know what it is to Feel, i know what waits in the absence of emotion, and i will not have it! Dissolution and oblivion may have me someday, but it is not today! Rapture Compassion Ambition Sadness Fear Jealousy Scorn Joy / Wonder Empathy / Sympathy Desire / Lust Grief / Despair Apprehension / Terror Envy / Covet Hate / Spite

Love / Idolatry Anger / Rage

All passion carries the danger of blindness, they all can become your entire world and blind you to what is truly there, but without passion, there is no reason. Tali Eos was correct in not writing blanket definitions in covering the low and high tides of emotion and not labeling definitively what they mean. Every soul is an island unto itself, every heart feels just that little bit differently, this is what makes them unique. We are One but we are not all the same.. Through experience alone can we unlock the power of our passions.. Do not regret your feelings, for these are the foundation of humanity. We are One, and without or guidance humanity will never cross the threshold into Ascension. So go my fellow Cultists! Go out into the tide that is our world and bring those that so desire the passion to Awaken!
