Khetri is situated at the foothills of the Aravalli Range, which hosts copper mineralization, giving rise to 80 km long metallogenetic province from Singhana in the north to Raghunathgarh in the south, popularly known as Khetri Copper Belt Prominent deposits of the belt are: -Khetri, Kolihan, Banwas, Chandmari, Dhani Basri, Baniwali Ki Dhani (Neem Ka Thana, Rajasthan). Other deposits are: Dholamala, Akwali, Muradpura - Pacheri (Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan), and Devtalai (Bhilwara, Rajasthan). Regular mining ceased in this area by 1872. With the advent of 20th century, the geologists of Geological Survey of India. Indian Bureau of Mines undertook explorations. Development of Khetri Mine was started by National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and the project was handed over to HCL in 1967 when HCL was formed. Subsequently, smelting and refining facilities were added. And assigned the task of Exploration prospectively and mining activity for minerals in particular cu extraction and fabrication of metals and manufacture of product alloys and byproducts. It is also expected to undertake research, development consulting services in concentrator, smelter and refinery. Its head office is in Kolkata different units of Hindustan copper limited in India. HCL is situated in the cradle of Arawali hills in Jhunjhunu. It is at the Northern end of large copper belt. It includes three mines Khetri, Kolihan &Chandmari. Northern end of the large copper belt extending from Singhana to Raghunathpura.

Abstract
Khetri Copper Complex a mining cum metallurgical complex is a major constituent of Hindustan Copper Limited. A Govt. of India Enterprises with install capacity of 31000 tones of electrolytic grade copper per annum was established in 9th November 1967. Khetri Copper Complex including Chandmari mines. Copper project comprises one open pit mine, two underground mines, a concentrator plant, a smelter plant, an electrolytic refinery plant with sulphuric acid plant and a fertilizer plant. The electricity for the plant is provided by the Rajasthan State Electricity Board (RSEB). But the plant also have a small power plant for emergency breakdown of power supply from R.S.E.B., Naphtha and Diesel is used as a fuel for producing the power. HCL has established well equipped R&D facilities. The R&D section is fully responsible for improvement in quality of products control of raw material, improvement of recovery of products.
