1. Adjustment of voltage of power supply Turn on the unit to receive 5-sub-circle signal, keep brightness and contrast in normal condition, warm up the unit for few minutes, adjust potentiometer RP551 and adjust +B voltage to 110V. 2. Procedure for exiting/entering factory mode 1) To conduct exiting/entering with factory remote unit: press D-MODE key to enter D factory mode (for change all of the adjustable items); press M-ON key to directly enter M factory mode (M mode is a kind of rapid adjustment mode and aging mode). Press D-MODE again will exit or turn off the unit and exit factory mode. Note that the only way to exit M mode is to use the remote unit. P+, P-, V+, V- or key can be used to select items to be adjusted and change values. 2) To conduct exiting/entering with normal remote unit: (1) Press Volume down (V-) key of the TV set to lower the volume to 0 while pressing the display key of the remote unit to enter S mode (for change of partial items to be adjusted); under S mode, press display key once and then press and hold the volume down (V-) key of the TV set while pressing the display key of the remote unit to enter D mode. (2) On the remote unit, press AUDIO key once and MUTE key twice to enter S mode; press SLEEP key to exit; press AUDIO key once and SYS key twice to enter D mode; press and hold SLEEP to exit. (3) Under D mode or S mode, press CALE key to enter M mode and conduct remote shutdown and exit; use one of keys P+, P-, V+, V- or to select items to be adjusted and change values.

3. AGC adjustment Under receiving 5-sub-circle condition, with input density at 60dB, enter factory mode, select RAGC option to change data to improve picture quality to the extent of just diminishing snowing phenomena to zero, change input signal density to 100dB. At this moment, no distortion or interference phenomena shall exist. 4. Terminating the adjustment 1) When factory remote unit is used in adjustment: Press key on the factory remote unit to set the screen to display horizontal bright line. Adjust the grid potentiometer at high voltage package to such a state in which the bright line can just come on. Based on the principle of three basic colors to adjust the bright line to white color by use of keys R+, R-, G+, G-, B+ and B- of the remote unit. If the bright line is too bright, adjust the voltage of the acceleration pole to a proper level. Press key another time to recover the screen to normal condition. 2) When normal remote unit is used in adjustment: Under D mode or S mode, press -/-- of the normal remote unit to set the screen to display a horizontal bright line. Adjust the grid potentiometer at high voltage package to such a state in which the bright line can just come on. The keys vs functions are as shown as follows: Name of key Function 1 R-CUT 2 G-CUT 3 B-CUT
Change values with keys V+, V- or to make the bright line white. If the bright line is too bright, adjust the voltage of the acceleration pole to a proper level and press -/-- key another time to recover the screen to normal condition.

5. Adjustment of whiteness balance Manual adjustment: Adjustment items for dim balance: RCUT, GCUT, BCUT. Adjustment items for bright balance: GDRV, BDRV. Adjustment with auto whiteness balance instrument: 1) The remote IC of the factory remote unit is 9028A-23, with remote system code being 8EH, remote control code being 3EH (i.e. key 63). When adjusting whiteness, pressing this key will cause the screen to display words TV IC ADJUST. After completion of the adjustment, press this key again to exit. 2) Address of E2PROM data Sub-address of E2PROM (30) Max value RCUT GCUT BCUT GDRV BDRV 3) Address of 2 in 1 IFH (31) 20H (32) 21H (33) 22H (34) 23H (35) Sub-address of CPU (136) Max value RCUT GCUT BCUT GDRV BDRV 08H (8) 09H (9) 0AH (10) 0BH (11) 0CH (12) FFH (255) FFH (255) FFH (255) 7FH (127) 7FH (127) FFH (255) FFH (255) FFH (255) 7FH (127) 7FH (127)
6. Picture adjustment While receiving grid signal of PAL system, conduct following adjustment to improve the picture:
VLIN VSC
While receiving grid signal of AV input of NTSC system, conduct following adjustment to improve the picture: HPS VP60 HITS 60Hz line center 60Hz field center 60Hz field amplitude VLIS VSS 60Hz field linearity 60Hz field S correct
Adjust BRTS to improve sub-brightness. Adjust OSD to bring the menu display to the center of the screen. 7. Aging at room temperature With the TV being set to M mode or AV blue screen, put the TV set to the aging line for aging purpose. 8. Voltage resistance and insulation tests: Set-up of voltage resistance test apparatus: voltage: AC3kV leak current: 10MA Set-up of insulation test apparatus: voltage: DC500V 9. YUV input test of AV 1) Connect the video signal from outputs Y, Cr and Cb of a DVD set to the inputs Y, Cr and Cb of the TV set, the audio signal from outputs L and R of the DVD set to Rin and Lin input terminals of the TV set. 2) Switch over the TV set to DVD mode to make sure both voice and picture are normal. 10. Setting factory logo Factory logo is divided into two lines, i.e. LOGO1 and LOGO2, each contains 16 characters max, for setting different content, switch, type and magnitude of letters, color, moving up, down, to the left and to the right. After setting factory content and at least one of the two lines to ON mode, the logo will be displayed on the screen when starting the insulation resistance: 4M. duration: 3 seconds
TV or when the screen enters blue screen mode when there is not signal applied to the TV set. 1) Enter D mode, press PIC key to enter the setting interface for LOGO1. Press PIC key again to select the following options one after another: LOGO LOGO1 SIZE COLOR MOVE LOGO.
2) Set-up of logo content: select LOGO line, select desired letters from the line with V+ and V- keys, and change the content of word with P+ and P- keys. 3) Switchover between LOGO1 and LOGO2: press PIC key to select line LOGO1 ON/OFF and press P+ or P- to switch over the setting interface of LOGO1 and LOGO2. 4) Press DISP key to exit D mode and store the result. Turn off the unit and exit D mode. 5) The following table shows letters in the letter stock ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA9876543210 6) Turn on the unit to display factory logo: as for TV set from 14 to 21, value of option MODE2 is set to B0 under factory mode; as for TV set from 25 to 34, value of option MODE2 is set to F0 under factory mode. 7) Cancel logo display at start-up: as for TV set from 14 to 21, value of option MODE2 is set to A0 under factory mode; as for TV set from 25 to 34, value of option MODE2 is set to E0 under factory mode. 8) Entry of IC built-in test signal: Under D mode or S mode, pressing TV/AV key will allow you to enter built-in test signal. 9) Data table for the bus lines: see accompanied table
